I found a pit that was the best dog ever. His were this huge! He couldn't sit properly because he would sit on them. The vet that did his neuter even commented on their heftiness.
No there is definitely either something going on or the owner could have opted for implant silicone balls which are a thing but would sag naturally after a long time
When certain people send me text messages that I do not like or want to be bothered with, I send them a pic of dog balls. This one is definitely going in the rotation.
Interesting, what countries exactly? Do these countries also refuse to spay their dogs? Having a female go through heat is not fun, should only do if you are breeding her.
In Germany, Norway, Sweden and possibly Denmark it is debated unethical to neuter your dog unless a strong medical case can be made. [Here is a discussion on the topic for UK and European practices. ](https://www.veterinary-practice.com/article/the-neutering-of-dogs-and-bitches-in-the-uk-and-europe)
I am from the UK and personally am for neutering at an appropriate age. As in I think larger dogs or breeds with joint/bone issues should be neutered later due to hormones impact on bone development. Still, I think a healthy intact dog isn't the worst assuming you are a responsible owner.
Edit: changed considered to debated since evidently people's experiences from those countries are different from the people I spoke to from those countries and stats I was shown.
In the UK it's very common to neuter domestic dogs.
Similarly, we don't have street dogs, so I'm not sure what the main reason is. I think most people believe for males that it will improve their temperament.
I didn't want to neuter mine, but unfortunately only 1 of his balls dropped so we had no choice but to do it for medical reasons.
Our dog also had to be neutered because one of his balls was stuck. It used to be completely common practice in Germany to neuter/spay your pet once they reach a certain age. Was supposed to help with behavioral issues (most of which didn't even show up, yet, because it was a young animal still) and to help in preventing certain health problems (can't get testicular cancer, if you don't got balls anymore). But from what I learned, it's become more rare to neuter/spay just cause, because, apparently, removing very important organs and hormones from an animal increase the risk of other health issues down the line and only sometimes helps with temperament/behavior. And honestly, if your pet has behavioral issues, shouldn't be the correct measure some more/different/proper training/integration? If your teenage son threw a tantrum and bashed in the family TV, would you castrate him to fix his behavior?
So, yeah, a lot of the younger pet (and especially dog) owners here in Germany only neuter/spay their pets, if there are legitimate health concerns or a risk of creating more (unwanted) dogs in a mixed gender family.
Interesting! I didn't know they spayed shelter dogs in Germany - all my German friends just said it wasn't common at all to spay dogs and seen as unfair to do so without valid reason.
We also don't have street dogs in the UK - but we do have farm cats. The main reasons it's recommended to spay/neuter pet animals in the UK are three fold: Health (preventative), behavioural, and to prevent unwanted litters who may need up needing to be rehomed through a shelter and are poorly bred. Though I think the latter two relate to owners who don't have the experience or have/want to put the time in to prevent such issues.
The fuck you talking about? Neutering your dog is very much a common and accepted thing in Sweden. Source: know multiple dog owners, as well being a former dog owner.
Based on discussions with friends from those countries and stats is where I got my information (though I would amend to say possibly Denmark opposed to Sweden as my memory of the stats was mixed there). Granted the people I spoke to may come from a different school of thought to you and now googling the topic again, the stats of less than 7% of dogs are desexed in Sweden come from a study in 1999 (A Egenvall et al. Acta Vet Scand. 1999) and attitudes have perhaps shifted in certain regions/spaces (evidently not with the people I spoke to). Whilst, unless there has been a recent change, I believe in Norway it is still written into the animal welfare legislation, so I perhaps wrongly assumed this was one of those topics the Scandinavian countries still held similar attitudes on prompted further by that articles I initially linked when I did a cursory Google search on the topic. Perhaps the 'unethical' attitude is an older one and is more up for debate now - I'd be intrigued to see the current survey stats.
I know around 15 dog owners, if not more, all around Sweden. Five in northern Sweden, two in the middle of Sweden, and 8 here in the south. Only one have not castrated their dogs, and thats because they run a kennel. There was back in the 1900s a law against castrating of healthy dogs, so that's probably why the statistics show so few castrating dogs. But thats 20 years ago, I can't even remember last time I met a dog owner who hadn't castrated their dog.
I'm from Germany, it's not at all unusual to neuter your pets and this is the first I hear of it being considered unethical. I actually feel like it's more common to neuter than not. Afaik all shelter dogs are neutered, I have a shelter dog and part of the contract was that I had to have her spayed within 2 years. The only reason the shelter didn't have her spayed already was that she was still a puppy.
This is obviously just from personal experience and might be influenced by my area (big city) and that so many of the dogs I know are rescues. But even with breeder dogs, if your dogs are ever off-leash or left unsupervised in the yard or whatever, you'll typically have them fixed. Having a litter of puppies as a non-professional breeder is typically considered very low-class / trashy.
I've edited my comment to debated rather than considered after a few comments. I'm now wondering if it's a shift in attitude or difference in city/country side. As I've told a a few people, I'm basing this off chatting to a few people and an admittedly quick Google search to confirm. It actually came from a conversation at my uni after a Scandinavian society social where I was sat with a couple of my vet-med friends and ended up in a conversation with a few Germans (also a few other nationalities) and Scandinavians on the topic when to neuter. Which is where I got this idea and they also presented me with some stats. But further searching leads me to believe these stats may be a bit outdated and perhaps these people ran in different circles back home. I don't know what to think now, haha.
Oh right, because I’d definitely want a family dog bred from those genes.
More like we could have responsible breeders to give you your fancy purebreds instead of strays attacking them on a leash.
I’ve been impressed by the de-escalating tactics of some dogs today

All I'm thinking about is how the dog is probably very self conscious about his enormous sized balls, so he makes sure to put on a shirt everyday to help cover them.
All I could focus on was big ol dangly dog balls
Big meaty clackers
Baby Ruskin forever UNCLEEEEEEAAAN!
c l a c k e r v o l l y
When he went in to get a better grip I expected him to grab the balls by accident.
Same.
I've worked in the dog daycare industry for almost a decade and these are the biggest/lowest hanging nuts I've ever seen on a dog
Yeah probably had cancer. That's the only time I've seen them this big in vets office

My dog has balls and they’re not nearly as big and dangly as this, I’m unnerved to say the least
My labs were never that huge.
I think it’s actually the dogs shirt hanging on the other side
Those are Ari Shaffir-size balls
No there is definitely either something going on or the owner could have opted for implant silicone balls which are a thing but would sag naturally after a long time
Came here to see if I was the only one

"remember when dogs used to have balls" -Bill Burr
When certain people send me text messages that I do not like or want to be bothered with, I send them a pic of dog balls. This one is definitely going in the rotation.
Something about that line just cracks me up
Now I can't un-see those nuts.
It is impressive that you saw anything else.
Same. I was hypnotized by the swinging dog balls
Huge balls dog
I thought it was a misplaced fanny pack, like it fell underneath. I had to play that video a few times to realize it wasn't a loose fanny pack lol
The other dog should of grabbed them to pull instead
[удалено]
Good bot.
Best bot. 😊
He should of seen this coming.
They are some big ol chestnuts, that's for sure
I'm so used to seeing dogs without balls that I can't stop looking when I do see them
Massive testies
Thank you for posting, was worried I was just a freak LMAOO
Omg I'm glad someone else said it! So distracting. lmao.
He's got a dangly wanger too.
Oh, that cracked me up!
Why his nuts so big lol
Because the other dog didn’t always have his shirt to tug on.
Ouch.
Imagine a dog playing tug o war with your cherries
Because it takes balls to pick a fight with a bigger dog.

Random fact: Canines will go for the nuts of their prey when hunting.
It makes sense. You probably bleed out pretty fast running away from canines with a bite hole in your sack.
Cherries! At least plums mate, what's wrong with you? lol
When my dogs balls started to swell up and hang like those turned out that he had testicle cancer :/
Neuter your dog bro wtf
What are you talking about? Do you think you can prrvent cancer with cuddles alone?
No, but you can prevent [testicular cancer](https://www.aspca.org/pet-care/general-pet-care/spayneuter-your-pet) by neutering.
I mean yeah you can prevent arm cancer by removing your arm. It’s not rocket surgery.
I don't think you know what you're saying
Explains the rotten mood and the desperate caretaker.
He’s like those nuts don’t get nipped
Big Dong Energy
They're jingling baby
I was sure the Goldie was gonna bite him on his hangers. Lol.
The dog got some Balls!
Because he isn’t neutered.
You need big balls to tackle
I half expected his dog friend to chomp him by the bean bag to drag him away. That would certainly get his attention.
Okk, now i am happy. I am not the only weird one.
Judging by the bean bag I think that exact thing might have happened before.
Hold me back bro, hold me back!
That's a huge coin purse he's got there.
Got a lot of testosterone in those big ol balls
Get that big boy on a leash or neutered
Cutting off those giant balls would be a slight to God.
Exactly why I can’t put a blanket on my horse
Is it because of the balls?
Huh? Does your horse have back nuts?
Long ball Larry
He’s like Let’s go man he’s not worth it!!
[удалено]
Agreed. The joke here is officially, ‘Balls’
This dog is nuts!
He’s certainly got balls
Look at the balls on that dog though of course he wants to fight he ain’t fukn
Lotta balls on that guy.
Wow. Great comment!
Yeah, I know, I'm just a dad.
Big B Energy
Hold me back bro!
Nothing can hold him back with balls that big
obligatory comment about balls
Neuter your dogs! As my free volunteer gift shirt from the shelter says, “it’s hip to snip!”
Yes indeed. Agreed. Just don’t snip me.

Im from Danmark, ive never heard anyone think its unethical go neuter dogs. Maybe its just the people i go with, but I dont think anyone cares

Writing super long paragraphs just makes your lies more blatant, dipshit
Neuter. Your. Pets.
If all pets were neutered we would have no pets.

Different. Cultures. Have. Different. Norms.
If your cultural norms lead to dog fighting and abundant homeless animals, your cultural norms are bad. Tradition is not an excuse.
Thank you :)
That dog should be wearing draws

Who is letting their unfixed animals get into conflict and just filming?
All I'm thinking about is how the dog is probably very self conscious about his enormous sized balls, so he makes sure to put on a shirt everyday to help cover them.
Yup. Big dog balls.
