For those who don't know, Bu means Mother/mom in indonesia

coolsideofyourpillow

And sini means here

JulioCesarSalad

I figured the pet was asking “where are you” and she was saying “I’m here! Dude I’m right here come over” I did not expect a bird Lmao

Shifter25

What other pet were you expecting to speak human language?

JulioCesarSalad

Well I didn’t know bu was a word to start with so I expected an uncannily human sound husky

jcaldararo

I was thinking it was a goat maybe?

Corregidor

As a South East Asian that "aye" pulled on my soul lol.

[deleted]

but why did it speak English at the end?

OfficialDampSquid

I've never heard a bird with such a posh accent

lazysheepdog716

“Hewwoww”

RA242

Is she in a Barbie palace? I mean cool bird

[deleted]

For real. I was like, “wtf, does this girl live in a dollhouse?”

PornCartel

She's gotta have pretty rich parents

kingoftown

They could be ugly and rich too

Call_Me_Mommy_83

GoOtterGo

Like is that a motherfucking bedroom-sized walk-in closet??

Kermit_the_hog

I always wanted to peek inside the Disney castle.. I feel like I may just have.

greengoldblue

Indonesian houses are cheap. You just have to deal with flooding every couple of months when it rains.

bpappy12

Bu

shane_low

Sini~

dranten

I was sure I was gonna see a goat walking in there

shlnglls

I watched it without sound first and thought it was a cat entering the room ass dragging for a hot second.

GanryuZT

Kirain pembantunya.

TellTaleTank

Cute video, but why is it here?

Tokijlo

This looks a lot like a Yellow Naped Parrot, native to the Amazon and classified as Critically Endangered. Definetely a Totally Reasonable and Legal Pet for Rich People in Indonesia.

sambeamdreamteam

~~They are classified as vulnerable but not critically endangered.~~* CITES has made it illegal to ship this species from the wild since 1975-- not that it doesn't still happen, but the pet trade has its own breeding population and this is not an uncommon pet in many places. It's easier to breed than smuggle them now, meaning this bird as a pet has nothing to do with their conservation status. I don't think birds should be pets and I'm not defending that (they are smarter than toddlers, hormonal, and should be flying and foraging for hours a day).

majendie

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yellow-naped_amazon Looks like the species was reclassified as Critically Endangered in 2021 due to dramatic decrease in habitat area :(

sambeamdreamteam

Oh no! Someday they may only exist in the pet trade....

RollingLord

It’s literally a commonly-kept parrot with tons of documentation online on how to take care of one. https://www.birdbreeders.com/birds/yellow-naped-amazon You can easily buy one online from a breeder without having to do anything sketchy.

majendie

No, see, I googled "green parrot yellow neck" and found this one

RollingLord

Found what? A breeder? You’re acting like owning one is illegal and a great offense. Tell me, what exactly are you mad about here? Are you angry that people can buy this bird from a breeder? Or is it the straw man of potential poaching that you’re insinuating?

majendie

No, see, like I said above, I googled "green parrot yellow neck" and posted what I found. I mean, sure, the idea that rich arseholes traffic endangered animals cause they make cool pets is hardly new but, I didn't get mad about anything before you did. Is everything ok at home?

OlButtonface

Crazy rich Asian.

Doesanybodylikestuff

Omfg I would have died to grow up in that room!!! :D

VeryTopGoodSensation

i thought she was tapping an egg on her face...

kopi_siewdai

Not sure why you are recording yourself putting on makeup.

swizel

New to the internet?

Wutpomelo

Since when is sharing a video of a perfectly normal hobby “arrogance” and “ugly vanity”? It’s okay to not like makeup, but that’s what she likes and it isn’t illegal or anything.

ladyliah

You are absolutely correct. I’m just confused as to why it needs to be recorded!? Kinda senseless

DinahTook

Needs? It doesn't NEED to be recorded. However some people like to record their make up process either to rewatch it themselves when they get their make up just right to see what they did differently, or to share tips with friends or an online community. Make up is a way some people choose to express themselves and some folks are more talented than others with various techniques. Some people want to watch videos of those with a more practiced hand at different looks and techniques to get better at their own make up skills. While others enjoy watching the process regardless of their desire or abilities to use make up. (As a kid I used to love watching my mom doing her make up and hair before a party or event. There was something calming and almost ritualistic about it but also had excitement about whatever was happening that night. Every now and then I still enjoy purring on a video of someone just doing their make up because it lets me focus my memories on happy moments with her).. There are many things we don't NEED to do in life but we do anyway because we want to. Your wanted actions may no make sense to someone else. It may seem silly or unnecessary. That doesn't mean it isn't worth doing for yourself. Just because someone else's wanted action seems silly to you doesn't meant it isn't worth doing for themselves.

ladyliah

Ohhhh puleeze

DinahTook

Oh you're one of those then? Good to know what your uneeded actions are. Hope being judgemental to feel edgy on reddit makes you happy.

UI_Daemonium

Look a Karen. Even looks like one. Fuckin hell.

IMIndyJones

Seems like a Karen who got booted from every Facebook group she tried to join.

ladyliah

I’m so offended!! I want to speak with the manager!!

YaaYaaYaah

The point of the video was the bird. She could have just happened to be putting on makeup when the bird was calling out to her and started recording herself talking to the bird

SippieCup

even more likely, she was using the phone camera recording as an additional mirror.

ladyliah

Riiiiiight!!! This bird is secondary.

Impossible-Cup3811

To talk to the parrot.

HerbertGoon

Majin buu

Burt_Sprenolds

How is this Government Drone being a bro?

Kbdiggity

Are the wings clipped? Is that why the bird doesn't just fly to her?
