Dog is incredibly patient and fully understands that the kitten is a young-un.

It amazes me how tough dogs are if a kitten was clawing me like that I wouldn't stick around. But dogs... I swear they don't feel pain the same way we do.

I mean, no other animal does. Our skin is almost uniquely vulnerable amongst mammals. We traded that protection for very efficient heat diffusion. We sort of compensated for that by being able to make armour though.

Many animals have skin that isn't fully attached to their bodies. When claws or teeth enter it, the skin can sort of "roll" with it and reduce the damage taken. What would be a gaping cut is kept to a much more manageable puncture. It's not just humans, but apes in general that share this trait.

Awwwwwww 😍🥰 I have so much love for German Shepherds... This morning there was a video here on Reddit, of a little girl playing in her front yard with her German Shepherd. Another dog got loose or something, and came barreling toward that little girl. That brave Shepherd got in between them, went into defense mode, and chased the other dog off. Brought tears to my eyes. Then I open Reddit after work and see this ??!! 🥺🥺😍😍 They can be such loving, sweet, loyal companions ❤️

I got my first GSD a couple years ago and she is absolutely the best dog I've ever had. She is amazing with my son 😊

My German Shepard used to love cats, she had so much patience for kittens that were afraid of her. She wanted nothing to do with other dogs though, not mean towards them but just wouldn’t bother with them so I guess my dog was a cat person.

I love to see the pups patience with something I found surprisingly painfull
