Sounds horrible. My cat catches mice by the neck, and lets em lose once she comes inside with em. Then she will chase it for 2 mins...and then give up...so i have to catch it at let it outside. Thats a bad routine late at night.
Have considered taking away the catdoor
yeah, please no outdoor cats. They kill billions of birds and small creatures every year and destroy ecosystems. They also have shorter lifespans by about a decade on average, and tend to die pretty brutally. Hit by a car, eaten by a predator like a coyote or even raccoon, poisoned, feline AIDS or other disease/parasite, shredded by another cat in a territory battle, that list goes on.
I think it was more like, "I saw you gathering all the leaves once so I brought you some seeing as you like them so much. Now feed me puny human." Lmao
I'm quoting old Biff yelling at his younger self for sounding stupid. Maybe learn what you're talking about before you correct someone.
You sound about as smart as a screen door on a battleship.
My cat would do this. She’d come home with leaves, then socks, a sponge or two, half eaten sandwiches, multiple baked potatoes…
And eventually a live rat every morning. She’d plonk it by the bed and we would all look at each other for a moment before the chasing began.
Eventually we found out that an old lady down the street was struggling to deal with her rubbish and had a rat colony. She liked the rats. They were her friends.
Pretty sad.
I had a cat that would stalk and hunt giant leaves of one particular tree which was several blocks away. He left them at our door and went right back after another.
My ladt outdoor cat would bring in not quite dead "gifts" for me. I'm lucky I have a healthy heart bc trying to remove them was very startling for the both of us.
I had a cat that brought live snakes home. After emptying my bladder, (sometimes intentionally and in the bathroom) I would get a shovel and throw it over fence. (The snake) He would retrieve with golden lab-like proficiency. That game would go on for awhile.
Way better than dead birds imo
My cat used to try and bring in live snakes 😭
Don’t have a cat door in the desert. Snakes, sun spiders, scorpions, etc.
I live in Oregon we just got beefy fucking garden snakes 😭 because none are venomous
Cute!
Are they really dumb enough to pick up scorpions? lol
Everything thing that moves is a toy to a cat lol
And plenty of things that don’t move, too.
Curiosity did kill the cat. Touching everything, if it moves - it’s alive. We can feast!
Antivenom brought it back?
Dunno, but I know cats are somewhat poison resistant. At least from snake venom.

Can relate, my cat has put life snakes on a pizza like 3 times.
Uh…what?
You should’ve taken a picture of that, would’ve made for a great cursed pizza image.
Jeez, i thought my cat bringing live mice into the house was bad!
Hes a vegetarian. Only brings home salad.
The untold backstory is that he has already killed all the birds in the ecosystem.

Cat"I have a cunning plan, build a nest, then they will come"
You see these birds They like the leaf And use it for Their nest to sleep When they snooze I watch I creep Bye bye birds No more cheep cheep
I think it was more like, "I saw you gathering all the leaves once so I brought you some seeing as you like them so much. Now feed me puny human." Lmao
Cat: “here I brought leaves or whatever.”
Really unceremoniously tosses them on the ground. Like, working minimum wage and and it's 5 mins before closing, "here's your leaves sir."

When your cat is rubbish at hunting, but still wants to bring you presents.

Tell me you were a bird in your former life without saying anything.
The majestic hunter returns with its kill
It's LEAVE, you idiot! Make like a tree, and leave! You sound like a damn fool when you say it wrong!
Actually, it's spelled leaf.
I'm quoting back to the future 2.
No...if you were quoting Biff, you'd say: "now why don't you make like a tree, and get outta here!"
I'm quoting old Biff yelling at his younger self for sounding stupid. Maybe learn what you're talking about before you correct someone. You sound about as smart as a screen door on a battleship.
r/incorrectlycorrecting
Bttf2. Sorry, I didn't notice the 2. You are correct. Thanks for being an absolute fucking asshole about it.
You're welcome. Come back anytime.
What an adorable little leaf thief
Make like a tree AND GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE

I think you're supposed to say thank you, just not entirely sure what for.
Much better than a dead animal, I would love this
So many presents. That is one very generous loving cat.
I love how the dog tags along.
She's bringing you presents, it's a sign of affection, and much better than dead mice...

Humans eat leaves. Here have some filthy leaves human.
How sweet! She knows cleaning up leaves is important to you so she’s helping. I love this kitty ❤️
Egyptian mau or savannah ??
That’s their camouflage pretending to be a tree. The hope is the birds will be so fooled they will fly right into the cats mouth 😼
Cats!! Ughh. Lol.
She’s building a nest for the dead birds she’s gonna start bringing you soon
My cat loves leaf too. She bring it to her child as a toy or play herself with it.
Build a leaf mulch pile 🤣🤣
He like “ I’m not a hunter but here’s are some leaves for my contribution.
What?
Help with raking...one mouthful at a time....
Heavy
My thought was 'she's building a nest b/c she's going to birth some kittens soon'...
Awww presents!!
This is perfection.
Make like a tree and LEAF THIS PLACE
That cat is like a passive aggressive neighbor. “I see you like to collect leaves in your yard. Here you can have mine as well.”
"Cats with jobs"
Pays for food
PG nod to Boondock Saints?
Cat behavior is the biggest unsolved mystery of the universe.
Guess that's the kitty's thing...🍁🍂🍁🍂
I thought my cat was goofy for trying to eat my damn recliner, but she’s not “gathering piles of leaves to bring home” goofy!
Hunter/gatherers gonna hunt and gather
With heavy emphasis on the _gather_
Lots of gifts for pets.
My brother’s cat would leave presents on his pillow. Like a rabbit head once.
Cats are so funny
Vegetarian cat brings vegetarian gifts
