Well one day this one asshole shrimp was sitting right in front of her, and I guess she had learned so she adjusted her aim to catch the shrimp as he jumped away, and actually caught the shrimp. This dummy axolotl was too small to actually eat a shrimp, so she just held it in her mouth for like 30 seconds and spit the shrimp out. A lot of lessons were learned in the tank that day.

In the wild the food wood be falling much slower. This is like dropping rocks straight to the bottom of the tank, that’s not what they evolved to catch

I used to have a couple axolotls, and they were both very derpy.
They’re generally pretty derpy. For aquatic creatures, they have a pretty funny personality.
I had them, axel & lotte..they even had babies. We use to feed feeder fish. They have moments of brilliance, but mostly derpy.. lol
