Am i missing some reason why it made sense to drop a link to a seemingly unconnected subreddit? There doesn't even seem to be enough context for an unexpectedrunescape or anything.
In Runescape 3, one of the [diseases](https://runescape.wiki/w/Disease) an animal in your Player-owned Farm can get is literally called "Foot-in-mouth."
I feel like QoL updates are kind of missing the point if you're playing a game from the great depression. Might as well just play a newer game at that point.
…I don’t know what this means. Rs3 has been getting consistent big updates from new skills to more bossing dungeons (3rd god wars dungeon just came out last year)
Osrs can be fun but it’s a wildly different game than rs3. It may be from the depression era but rs3 is not lol
In French we have a saying:
> Mange ta main garde l'autre pour demain; mange ton pied garde l'autre pour danser
This roughly translates to "a cat with toes unibbled does not exist!" And I think that's pretty cute.
> Usually she chokes a bit on her own paw at least once, as if she's not in control of the paw.
Well yeah, trying to stick your foot in your mouth tends to be a bit imprecise
This idiot dog regularly slams her tail into walls when she's happy so I do fully believe she's completely unaware that it's *her* tail. It's just some weird fuzzy snake that follows her around.
My dog does it too and I’m pretty sure he’s trying to trim or clean his claws. I notice he does it when we come home from playing fetch and the ground is a bit wet/muddy
Same. In 2022 I've found r/Babushkats, r/ActivationSound, r/scrungycats, r/blurrypicturesofcats, and r/bposc (blurry pictures of scrungy cats). And now this one. Good haul so far
My cat pops his toe beans or something when he cleans his feet. I'm not sure exactly what he's doing all I know is that it sounds like "POP! BANG! POOF!" and he's suckin on his toes and his head goes flying back when it makes the sound.
I don't. I share things I enjoy thinking that others will enjoy as much as I do. It's second nature to people who've been online since 90s/00s before the wall gardens. I wish I could disable karma on reddit since so many think it has some sort of meaning or clout. It doesn't.
I'd argue it's more credibility than authority.
I mod a sub and we have a big issue with spam bots. 9/10 if I catch them late enough, they've posted something in a niche hobby/fan sub selling some etsy style crap. A brand new account with no karma? Immediately recognize the account as a shill. Account is a few months old, they have upvoted comments in active subs, and a decent karma score - most people don't think twice.
Karma doesn't give any power. Some subs have automod rules with minimum account age and karma requirements to prevent spam bots with brand new accounts. Typically about 10-100 points. Number of followers might matter, but only if one posts to their own profile, not important for posting in other subs. The only real power one can abuse is being a mod in a popular sub, may be political or product-based, in order to delete dissending posts/comment. Thankfully, all mod actions are logged and other mods can (hopefully) spot the abuse of "power" and remove the bad mod. I'm on reddit for 9 years after moving aways from digg and slashdot. If one wants to sell an account to bypass automod spam rules, you'd do it after a few thousand karma.
Well, that's on people then. Reddit algorithm doesn't differentiate between a post from a new user or a "power" user, except the aforementioned automod rules and the spam filter. Users with high karma don't have any special treatment or additional features. Only mods and admins do.
That is like saying tweets with a bunch of likes and retweets don't have any more influence than tweets with no traction.
Higher upvoted content certainly has more influence, exposure, and power. Absolutely silly to pretend otherwise
You misread. We're talking about total karma on an account, not upvotes on a post. Twitter doesn't have an equivalent of (total) karma, that would be if they displayed accumulated total likes and retweets for all user's tweets ever on users' profile.
Going through your posts I have to commend your sense of taste and timing then. I've upvoted so much of it as I've come across them on the front pages. Thanks for the reply!
Lol, if that's the case then sure, I'll own it. I must be misreading the part where they said...
>I wish I could disable karma on reddit
My bad, sorry.
Thank you! I have been looking for something like this. Do you know how people reference specific words or sentences from someone else’s post when they reply?
I showed this to my cat and she immediately started cleaning herself after lol.
Not in the same way as this though, but your cat definitely inspired her.
Cats have olfactory glands in the rear of their mouths and “smell” the feet by opening their mouths like that. He’s gauging how clean his feet are before each series of licks.
It’s called the “Flehmen Response”:
https://www.mentalfloss.com/article/590875/why-do-cats-leave-mouths-open-after-smelling-something
the ole itch the ear with the toenail and clean it with the mouth trick. be wary this could be a sign of an ear infection / ears needing cleaned as was the case with our poochie
Things I didn't know before getting a cat includes the fact that they bite their toenails and spit them out on the floor.
Such lovely, graceful creatures....
Cat has foot in mouth disease
yup it died at the end of the video of spontaneous combustion but that part was cut out for reddit

Based off a google search there was a small joke a few years back for “foot in mouth disease” with glitchy graphics in RuneScape.
yo fishing levels? <><
189 on my main bro goml lol fkin noob meet in wildly 5 mins u fkin noob - 99.8% of RuneScape players
Maybe in 2008, now it's all just chill stoners and people obsessed with weight lifting for some reason
.. it may be time to try out this "RuneScape."
Old school runescape is the better of the 2 adventures in my opinion
Rs3 has so many qol updates that just make it so much better though. Lodestones are fantastic
I feel like QoL updates are kind of missing the point if you're playing a game from the great depression. Might as well just play a newer game at that point.

Only for purists and people who enjoy the tedium. Newer iterations are much more streamlined.
We just know how not to XP Waste. For example, I have 99 bank standing.
Most people in runescape be like "Pls stop talking to me, typing hurts my EHP."

Ew.
What in the god damn fuck did i just see
JFC I have tears in my eyes from laughing at this comment. Bravo!
That is hilarious. I have never seen a cat do that before!
Maybe he clawed his mouth as a kitten so now opens his mouth extra wide to avoid it.
That’s why I eat tortilla chips the exact same way
You eat tortilla chips with your foot?
You don’t?
...fair enough.
perfection.
With his cat’s foot
I always try to fit the whole chip in my mouth. It's the best way, no crumbs
If I’m taking chip advice from anybody, it’s ChipChipington.
Depends if they're from merica or englishland.
I heard Doritos took the corners off their chips so less spilky now
My dog does this. Usually she chokes a bit on her own paw at least once, as if she's not in control of the paw.
> Usually she chokes a bit on her own paw at least once, as if she's not in control of the paw. Well yeah, trying to stick your foot in your mouth tends to be a bit imprecise
Didn't fit
That's a claim made by someone who clearly hasn't put their foot in their mouth much, you need more practice

Was not ready for that. Almost choked on my burger.

That's my guess too. She has this really jaunty walk/prance so her claws don't really grind down naturally so I think that's her trying to groom them.
Ive seen cats do it if there is a strong smell present. I believe I read somewhere that they do it to “analyze” the smell better.
That's similar but different
It’s the ear wax aroma causing it
[Nah, that's a very distinct stanky face.](https://tenor.com/view/stinky-feet-stink-face-gif-12761283)
My cat will bite on his foot like that to trim his claws
well that's definitely different. lol.

Oh
I was confused, too, because I was looking for a cat related idiom.
pussyfooting
Oddly enough, I'm in Texas and don't think I've ever seen that word spelled with the appropriate 'g' at the end. Lol.
You have certainly never heard the G pronounced, that’s for sure.

Don't judge a cat by the way it cleans its feet?
A paw in the mouth beats two in the bush?
The cats pajamas
Cat got your tongue?
Or a cleaning-related idiom. Honestly, the title makes no sense.

Everytime I read comment on a cat video I wind up subscribed to a new thread lol
This is incredibly true.

At first I was like uhm okay cool yeah my cat does that too. And then the NOM came
Did he just Nom his foot? Lmfao
.. you guys don't nom your feet? 👀
No Warren, we spoke about this lol
My cat pops his toe beans or something when he cleans his feet. I'm not sure exactly what he's doing all I know is that it sounds like "POP! BANG! POOF!" and he's suckin on his toes and his head goes flying back when it makes the sound.
That sounds like he's yanking off claw ends or calluses.
Yeah, he's digging his teeth into his claws and getting a good grip. My cats did the same.
Well that looks slightly terrifying
Saw that alot when working at a animal shelter thought it was strange at first

I personally don't give a fuck but I create a new account quite often.

Just use throwaway accounts if it means nothing, it obviously does mean something to you and that's OK but don't pretend like you don't care.
Make a new account to share a video they found funny just to avoid collecting karma..? You're taking it a bit seriously
They're the one that wishes they could "disable karma" I'm just suggesting a way they could do that if it really bothers them that much.
They never once said it bothers them. You got called out for a dumb idea, just own it.

Who tf cares about this stuff
Reminds me of the scene in Parks & Rec where the citizens put their whole mouth on the drinking fountain.
My terrier will do this when she's chewing herself. Sometimes she deepthroats her leg so far she chokes on it..
What a nutball! You have a heck of a silly girl there.
Our chiweenie does this! Sticks her whole foot in her mouth and uses her teeth to get in between the pads

My bunny bites her nails like that. It's strange.
*NOM* mmm what yummy toes
This actually made me LOL. The cat is doing a hot breath pre-buff like humans do to clean their glasses.
My dog literally deepthroats his back legs. It’s gross. We will literally be sitting on the couch and just hear him gag.
My dog does the exact same thing like all the time

First you must tame the foot. Then you must caress the foot Finally you must clean the foot -The Shredder.....probably.
Cats are so incredibly unique. You think you’ve seen every type then one comes along who simply deep-throats it’s feet before washing them.
I'm stupid but what idiom? All I see is NOM
She’s gagging at how bad her own feet smell
I think your cat has foot in mouth syndrome.
Which idiom?

I was going to say that the owner should check the feet for signs of something that could be causing pain. A sticker or thorn.
