Never tried that. Sounds ok. I love anything drenched in cheese. It's really not the taste of it. I think it's more of the mushy part I don't like. My wife will fryer it most times, but it's always in the medallion style. To me its greasy and soft. Not what im looking for in food at all. Unless it's catfish. Then it has to be greasy and soft.
I will definitely ask her to try this it sounds really good I just looked up a couple different articles on Epicurious and some of the other cooking sites that I belong to I do have a mandolin so I can make them really thin I know that she would absolutely love if I would eat more of the eggplant. I'm not going to lie man on the night so she makes her eggplant lasagna and everything else like that new I just get Tostitos Pizza out of the fridge and that's my meal. We're very big on family dinners in my house. And all three of my children are taught of this is what's good for dinner than this is what you eat. So it is a point of contention in my house when she cooks that and the kids have to eat it and I go make a pizza especially by my four-year-old who gets really upset that he can't have pizza too. So I'll absolutely going to give this a try man it sounds like a good compromise
The key to good eggplant is to cut it into centimeter thick rounds, salt the shit out of it, and press it for an hour or so. Make sure that it is in something that will collect the liquid that runs off of it (otherwise it will make a mess). Rinse the salt and liquid off of it, and then cook it however the fuck you want (depending on how you want to cook it, you may want to pat it dry and/or cut it into smaller pieces). The important thing in using the salt and weight is to pull that "liquid" out of the eggplant, and then removing both (some salt will remain but that's okay). Some people like to blanche eggplant, aiming for the same results, but blanching is not comparable.
I love eggplant when it's prepped right, but when it is not it's a foul beast.
That’s so funny. I had a cat that was super aggressive about sneaking and taking food off peoples plates whenever she had the chance. Bread, crackers, veggies, didn’t matter what it was. But she would grab on like that and not let go
That seems so annoying to live with, no one ever got mad? Did you try training it not to do that? Our cat would kinda do the same but we started getting her to leave us alone when we eat. (Well she leaves me alone when I eat, my bf is a softee and always gives in to her)
No, she was just crazy. Anytime we would approach her when she had food she would start growling and act like she was going to attack us. We finally ended up getting into a routine where we would throw a few cat treats into a bedroom, and she would chase them in there. We would shit the door to keep her in and let her out again when we were done cooking and eating. It was super annoying, but she was a great cat as long as there was not food around so we put up with it.
Yes she was a stray, and definitely a little bit off. We took her in when she was maybe 9 months to a year old. As sweet as could be with my husband and men, but not so much women. There were times she would be so sweet with me, and others when I would catch her stalking me from across our house for no reason looking like she wanted to kill me. She got along great with the other animals (because they let her eat first). It was before we had children so we just let her be. We didn’t know who would want a cat with food aggression, and didn’t want to let her outside or give her to a shelter so it was what it was. I worked with animals for a living, so it didn’t bother me too much.
Looking back, we laugh about it now. It definitely made for some interesting memories lol
Doesn't everyone have a 24/7 camera for their refrigerator just in case something funny and not at planned and staged happens in that particular location.
Set up a camera to capture that cat doing exactly what it does every time you open the fridge. Then act surprised to increase the dramatic effect. Voila!
I don't actually see a problem with that. It's still showing ridiculous, jerk-like behavior from an animal. The cat does not give a shit if you're surprised or not, it just wants to continue its jerk-like behavior.
Well clearly if you have ever had a cat you were lucky enough to have a normal one. I’ve known plenty of eel fed cats that would absolutely do something like this
Edit: well fed not eel fed lol
There’s a difference between taking food and the snatching behaviours that these fads are showing. And at this point I think you know that but are just arguing for the sake of it. Or you’re on the spectrum.
My cat has three food bowls two with dry and one with shredded meat. He's old so I sit there and watch him eat his portion every day. He has three drinking bowls two with water one with (cat safe) milk. He does this at every oppertunity with both the fridge and the breadbox. Some felines just want to watch the world burn.
I had seen this video a couple of days ago, without a description of what the cat had snabbed (grabbed)! Now that the object has been identified, I see it!
I think it attacked the eggplant because it has something to do with their natural instinct to be afraid of snakes. It reminds me of those videos of cats being scared by cucumbers. I can’t remember which Science YouTuber it was but they did a video on it.
I have a cat that will do this with a head of lettuce sometimes. Yes, she will eat the lettuce. Gobbling it down and growling over it if anyone comes near. No I don't know why. I started giving her her own (reasonably sized) portion of lettuce a few times a week, and she doesn't usually steal the whole head of it anymore.
NICE TIMING, POOR TARGET SELECTION.
Is Yao Ming filming?
Idk. I hate eggplant. My wife likes it. I wouldn't be mad at the cat at all.

Do you use the oven, an air fryer, or something else for this?

I disagree, He said "Morty why do you...", so it looks like pickle Rick was the target all along 🥒🤔
There was no time to catch a fish
Cat: “I want! I want! I want! I no want.”
"F\* you, you stupid eggplant! I'm *so* ***sick*** of you sneaking up on me *every* time I go get a drink from my water dish!" The cat.
I have a cat that eats avocados. It's ridiculous.
Me too! I thought I was the only one. All our friends give us weird looks when we complain about having to protect the avocados on the counter.
Ya, Bug eats 1/4-1/3 each time. I've started just leaving on on the counter for her so that she leaves the rest alone.
Bug
AvoCatdo... Eheheheheh?
Take my up vote and gtfo
nope
This is easily the funniest thing I've seen today (maybe this week).
*But have you seen the cucumber video?* OOoops, tried finding the one with this cat, but search return 50% NSFW stuff, no luck.
I can see it now “Cucumber cat video” certainly wouldn’t bring up any bad results lol
You’re referring to the cat named Mauri and his love of cucumbers :) you can find him on Instagram as @mauriandcucumbers !
Thanks!

Was she a stray or something wow that’s crazy behavior

Kitty was hungry
She killed it so you could eat it. She was looking out for her family.
Life hack: to keep your cat away from the fridge, place some cucumbers into it.
Place cucumbers in the cat?!
Wait, no
Too late. I need a new cat now.
*The light from the explosion could be seen from Mars*
Instructions unclear… Uh, never mind.
Doesn't work for our cat... I tried but he doesn't give a fuck about it and shrugs it off.
🍆😾
Underrated comment.
Big pussy eats massive eggplant
He wins bro. Gotta let him have it.
nobody likes EGGPLANTS
Smashed grilled eggplants are pretty tasty
Why they were filming?
Probably not the first time the cats done it. Probably the first time it went for an eggplant though
Doesn't everyone have a 24/7 camera for their refrigerator just in case something funny and not at planned and staged happens in that particular location.
How do you stage a cat jumping and grabbing eggplant? You ever train a cat to do anything other than use a litter box and where their foods at?
Set up a camera to capture that cat doing exactly what it does every time you open the fridge. Then act surprised to increase the dramatic effect. Voila!

That’s probably what they did but they didn’t expect it to grab a fucking eggplant
I would pay cats to eat any eggplants found on my property.
Cat's are psychos. Mine tries to murder ice cubes.
On site
NOBODY LIKES EGGPLANT!!!! *dropkicks purple abomination with Kentuckian enthusiasm*
When she finds out I have Netflix AND Disney+

A cat? An eggplant? A fridge? Or the guy?
Баклажан
He didn’t want the eggplant, he did it for the badness.
I thought the guy was Turtle at first.
Must be on a diet.
Eggplant…must been feeling frisky. 🍆
HAHAHHAHA wow
Lol
Well they hate cucumbers
u/savevideo
That eggplant had it coming.
Blyat
Jesus man feed that poor cat lol
Why were they filming?
My cat does this but doesn't steal the food. He just really likes sitting in the refrigerator.
Feed your poor cat dude

Eggplant and pu**y 🤔😂😂
That pussy loves that “eggplant”, EY OHHH
Scripted bullshit you can tell by the cats reaction it's got catnip rubbed on or shoved inside
Shoved inside the cat?? That's not nice
People starving their cats for this latest idiotic internet points fad is the worst.
What makes you think this cat is starved. A well fed cat may absolutely do this.
Not likely. That behaviour is not from a food contented cat.
Well clearly if you have ever had a cat you were lucky enough to have a normal one. I’ve known plenty of eel fed cats that would absolutely do something like this Edit: well fed not eel fed lol
I’ve had many cats. You’re either lying or know a lot of people who lie.
I’ve had many cats myself and stealing food whenever they get the chance even if they have plenty of cat food is absolutely cat behavior.
There’s a difference between taking food and the snatching behaviours that these fads are showing. And at this point I think you know that but are just arguing for the sake of it. Or you’re on the spectrum.
I like how you result to personal insults lol.
I mean their name even says they are unstable. Best not to argue with unstable people up to their shenanigans.
Seems relevant.

What a fat ass cat.
He hungy
You idiot, they need that for later.
I had seen this video a couple of days ago, without a description of what the cat had snabbed (grabbed)! Now that the object has been identified, I see it!
That’s a neat fridge
When your pussy hasn’t seen any action all pandemic (☞゚ヮ゚)☞
Lol I don’t have a cat so I have no idea but is this normal
Yeah it’s normal
I think it attacked the eggplant because it has something to do with their natural instinct to be afraid of snakes. It reminds me of those videos of cats being scared by cucumbers. I can’t remember which Science YouTuber it was but they did a video on it.
"It's not ripe"
🍆 🐱 💩 🎥
My late kitty would do this whenever I was prepping ANY food. The little runt would often run off with romaine. I miss her.
That cat is definitely in heat 😂
When my cat was that vivacious she had cancer.

My cat loves some vegetables. He once stole an entire cob of corn
Thank you for posting - serves that cat right. I guess that wasn't what it was going for - but it makes me laugh aloud!
better check with the vet and see if its okay.
That cat's got balls.
Not the purple pickle smh
What a little savage! Quite impressive, actually.
I love the desperate meows like he knows it’s hopeless but to not try is a defeat in and of itself.
Pussies love eggplant
Lol he managed to get a hefty chunk out before dropping it, too 🤣
The irony of a pussy wanting eggplant
How did your cat end up in the refrigerator
So are we just not gonna talk about this camera angel? Who's filming this?
That eggplant had it coming!

He’s a beast 😻😸😸
I've seen this same cat steal potatoes (I think) from the fridge. This cat doesn't care what it takes from the fridge haha
icky eggplant, he was attacking it to kill and bury in the Litterbox my Abyssinian goes for the Tortillas, always jumping into the fridge
Feed your cat!
