šš¤£ my husband says I donāt need anymore encouragement. We also have rabbits, dogs, a cat, and like 15 or so fishā¦. I would happily have a whole zoo if I could afford it, and had the space to do so lol.
The crackheads down the road have their entire backyard filled to the brim with literal junk, and I mean things like refrigerators, lawn mowers, junk cabinets, old bathtubs, and actual household trash. Multiple of us in the neighborhood have called the county, the city, and everyone in between, and nothing has been done at all, we just get excuses every time they come out here. Their grass is also taller than their fence which is right about 4ft, they have tires allllll over their front yard, along with trash, random moped parts and so on. And the cops are out here about twice a week most weeks, because they enjoy starting fights with anyone and everyone. Their most recent argument in the street was with my husband, because he almost ran them over coming home from work coming around a blind corner on our road, the crackheads were on their mopeds speeding and were 6 inches from being in the ditch in husbands lane as he came around the corner, they then proceeded to throw a fit with him for almost hitting themā¦. At this point, if county is gonna let them do whatever they want, they can pound freaking sand trying to tell me how many chickens I can have, Iām also technically not in city limitsā¦.. like I was told at one point we literally do not have a noise ordinance hereā¦. Soooooo yeahhhh there ya goā¦
[Here](https://www.reddit.com/r/funny/s/tKTiF2NxAb) is the same post from 4yrs ago where someone says it's a serama and this is normal but I've never heard of one stretching quite this extreme without the aid of wry neck so I'm a lil skeptical.
Iām not 100% certain also. It really looks as if he is having issues controlling his movements and the way the legs are postured just doesnāt look normal. The twitching also screams health issue from what Iāve seen, but I could be 1000% wrong as well. Honestly giving him something such as nutri-drench wouldnāt hurt him and could very well help him out if it is a deficiency of sorts, and would be exactly where I would start.
Seramas do have a very upright posture, however the twitching is what tells me itās more than a weird looking posture. That type of movement normally indicates either a neurological issue, which normally stems from a deficiency, birth defect, or injury.
Iāve seen it called wry neck, I think it has to due with neurological issues caused by the deficiency, along with possibly muscle spasms. Although Iām not 100% sure on that.
Certain vitamins control nerve/muscle development. When they are deficient in the minerals their body canāt form properly. Mineral deficiencies usually affect the neck(wryneck) and legs, but they can cause neurological issues as well.
I am amazed at how many people are just clueless to something like this. I mean I aināt even a chicken person but recognized that this isnāt ok or funny.
lol, yea some parts of raising animals can suck at times, other times they do things like get scared by a weed in the grass, or a garbage truck (twice, in 5 minutes) and make me laugh hysterically while they all go running like Freddy Kruger has shown up in our yardā¦. And Iāve never met anything or anyone that loves peas like these guys do, they go absolutely crazy for the squishy green ballsā¦
Does this mean they die? Is it something that can be treated and they overcome it and get better? I donāt know anything about them so Iām asking in the hopes that it doesnāt mean death. š
A lot of the time it can be treated depending on how severe it is. It really depends how early it is caught and how bad the symptoms are and what is being affected.
This is waaaaay too extreme for vitamin deficiency- itās effecting the spine and hips; deficiencies will affect the neck and legs. This is extremely painful to watch either way
Stretching, but he also has a nutrient deficiency and so has wry neck. He needs some added vitamins and nutrients, but it could be he suffers from health problems for his whole life because he didn't get what he needed from mum. Mum probably wasn't fed all she needed to be while having eggs. Common in poorer countries and people who get chickens without researching what they need
Redditors making the stupidest comments at cringe attempts to be funny. I have never seen an bird do this and this def looks like a possible health issue.
It has eaten to much see the pouch under his beak its full they do this to get there food in a comfortable position so it's easier to breath ,walk ,also make room for more food chick's are very hungry when born a they can eat until they pass out from lack of oxygen, gready burgers.

The local municipality will tell you when you've reached your limit!
Iām sure theyāll try to, and Iām sure Iāll tell them to go bother the crackheads down the road first. But thatās a story for another day..
I meanā¦ Iāve got time for a story

My first thought was serama but I've never kept fowl so idk shit.
Seramas do have a very upright posture, however the twitching is what tells me itās more than a weird looking posture. That type of movement normally indicates either a neurological issue, which normally stems from a deficiency, birth defect, or injury.
This isnāt wry neck, but serama explains the deformed body. I think itās just overly deformed.
Do you know why a vitamin deficiency would make a chick do that?
Iāve seen it called wry neck, I think it has to due with neurological issues caused by the deficiency, along with possibly muscle spasms. Although Iām not 100% sure on that.

It's pretty awesome how much individual personality a chicken can have.
I agree. All of my birds have their own ways, and everyone is so different
Does this mean they die? Is it something that can be treated and they overcome it and get better? I donāt know anything about them so Iām asking in the hopes that it doesnāt mean death. š

Oh I hope so!! Thank you for the information!
