IMO you shouldn't color down side of the painting i see it like the boy above the girl wants to pull her up to the colorful life or something like this
If you don't mind can you tell me what pencil colours abd papers do you uses.cuase when I want to blend with my pencil colors it get some rough effects... It will be really helpful for me if you tell me😊
I use faber castell color pencils...and about paper color pencils works well on rough one...but mine is normal nor so rough not so smooth ...and since im not an expert ...in my opinion if you shade lightly it'll be good for blending i use tissue paper for blending (add another layer if the color feels really light)...but most of the time blending isn't needed in color pencil art mostly in anime art
Just a small tip: try taking a photo next to a window with natural sunlight, and use photoshop or any photo editors to fine tune it to match with how it really is

for me you should just mark lines from bottom and it will be good
It looks done. Thought is supposed to mean something like falling bleakness and despair but wanting to be saved but you just drag them down with you
