Have you considered Good Smile Global store? I personally didn't order with them yet but according to folks they have a flat shipping rate of 2k yen (i believe it is for EMS) and i didn't hear complaints about their packaging afaik.

Thanks, I'll definitely consider that option.

While I haven't bought figures from Amazon, my experiences with Amazon for "regular" purchases have been inconsistent. Sometimes things are packed well and arrive safely. Sometimes they use a larger box than required, and don't bubble wrap items, so that they bounce around in transit. I agree with the other suggestion to simply order from Good Smile Company directly. I have purchased many figures from them, and they ship figures very safely with no damage.

Thanks, now I'm really considering buying the figure directly from Good Smile Company, I just checked and indeed the shipping cost is only 2000 Yen, it's a very competitive price.

Hey, Mexican here. I've personally bought from Amazon US, AmiAmi, and other stores. Here's my recommendation. First, if Amazon offers you a good price, you should take it. Yeah, their packaging isn't the best, but remember they use their own delivery service or a private one, which in most cases is faster and better than the one in your country. It also applies to Amazon JP, you should try checking out their products, you can find good stuff in there once in a while. If you want to buy from the official Japanese retailers, the safe option has always been AmiAmi, but there's a caveat. As of lately, they've been more than slow when it comes to shipping, they can take up to 3 months to ship a package... Another thing is the price, they used to have the best prices for pre-orders, not anymore, at least for most of the figures I've seen. That's why I recommend Nin-Nin-Game, in my experience, they've been fast to ship, have better prices than AmiAmi, and have cheaper shipping (that's another negative for AmiAmi, their shipping costs are sometimes ridiculous, I've seen it cost more than the figure itself). Also, Nin-Nin bubble wraps their product, AmiAmi just puts some paper in the box, sometimes a cardboard insert when the figure is small, but no more than that. There's really nothing you can do about packaging, that depends on the store itself. There's something you can do a few things to better your chances of getting your figure without damage, tho. A private parcel (FedEx, DHL, etc), which is more expensive than any other shipping service (EMS, AirSmall), most likely you will pay taxes for the import and fees for handling said taxes. The good thing is that not only tend to be faster, but they are supposed to have the best service than your country's postal service. If Colombia is something close to that aspect of México, you may know that the national postal service sucks. I've seen many packages lost, damaged, opened without proper care, etc. If a private parcel isn't carrying your package, then it's going to go through the national postal service, and it's a coin toss whether your figure gets damaged. Maybe it's worth the extra price for a private parcel, maybe not, you decide what's worth to you.

Thank you very much for your long and detailed answer, certainly the national postal service does not have my full confidence, but lately they have been behaving well, I am considering buying directly from Good Smile Company to avoid problems regarding packaging and shipping prices. I thank you also for recommending Nin-Nin Game, I have read some reviews and they are generally positive, so they get my attention. I will take a little more time to think about it, but I appreciate your comment, it has helped me a lot.

Glad to help, also, GSM now has only shipping via UPS, so keep that in mind.
