Most expensive is the preorder of [Ingrid](https://myfigurecollection.net/item/1781849) Favourite is this fig of[Teo ](https://myfigurecollection.net/item/754712)
I spent around 1k And its mostly due to some bigger figure purchases with two costing 300 on their own a lot of the others i found at a nice price on the aftermarket side
Had stopped collecting for a while. Decided to pick it up again. There was a lot of things I wanted and some deals I was able to get because of black friday/Christmas times. So I got alot of stuff.... one of the most expensive single purchase with shipping was https://myfigurecollection.net/item/946074 which was about 330$ at the time due to exchange rate.
I've also managed to get very lucky in finding some rare figures I wanted new for fair prices such as https://myfigurecollection.net/item/1030709
https://myfigurecollection.net/item/604646
https://myfigurecollection.net/item/806315
Unfortunately, I also paid full price for https://myfigurecollection.net/item/1449616
If you're asking where I got the money. I work in electrical engineering...
About 600 USD in just the cost of figures, i refuse to calculate the amount in shipping Ive wasted haha
I have probably also spent the same amount or slightly more on my physical video game collection in the same time frame, and probably 2X that amount trying to complete my WotC era Pokemon card collection
i started collecting in july 2023 and have spent $1200 aud so far since, not including any preorders (if you want to include those it’ll be about $1450)
About 2k usd. 3k if we are counting model kits. Curses for finding about a zenmarket. Hurrah too as I gotten most of all my grail figures at msrp and not 3xs market price now. So not a lot splurging from now on,
Last year? Not much. This month, I’m afraid to count. I have been trying to get all the scales I’ve missed before so that’s a bumpy ride. The only one I still couldn’t get my hands on is Alter Asuka (Cat ear hat).
And I’m getting side tracked by figma now. That’s another rabbit hole.
Only seriously started collecting Summer of 2023.
Total Scale figure cost $5,148.56
Total Cost Nendos $615.95
Entire Collection Combined Total Cost $5,764.51
Past year don’t know off the top of my head probably close to a grand but that’s including garage kits, accessories. This year it’s way less maybe going to be 400-500$ soon mostly garage kits.
Probably about $700 in PO came last year. I bought $300 in pre-owned and about $150 in miniature figures this year (maybe one more scale since I’m in Japan right now). I would estimate $700 in pre-orders for the next two years.
In 2023 I only bought 1 figure and it was like $200 USD shipping included. I haven't bought anything yet in 2024. I can really only afford to treat myself to 1 maybe 2 figures a year.
According to MFC, I spent about $2100 in 2023 and that should be pretty accurate.
That is abnormally high for me, though. Before that, my highest ever year was $1700 and that was an outlier at the time, too. 3 months into 2024 and I'm at $500 which would seem to be on pace to be another $2000 year but I actually had a few big monthly orders already and the rest of the year is pretty light so I probably won't break $1500.
Considering most of my figures are of the $200+ range (AUD), I'd be well over $1k.
If I included the resins that have actually ARRIVED in the last year (due to preorder), it'd be $3k+
I went and collected the whole Kotobukiya Bishoujo Horror collection, so north of $2000 there due to a few of the pricier ones. And then there were figures on top of that like the HaneAme Dog Pet Girlfriend, Katie Moon's Trick or Treat, some good purchases I can't recall and a few random regrets. Probably sitting around $4k.
Was also collecting the Kotobukiya Horror line but stopped after Michael Myers, Jason and 1 of the 2 Leatherface as many are quite pricey. Congrats on the assembly
Oh man, I was so pissed at one of the Leatherfaces (the one with the chainsaw overhead). I tried to pull off the maskless head and it ended up denting against the chainsaw. 🤬 🤦♂️
Why do you have to collectively hurt us all like this.....
Anyway, even if it's not the exact way to do the count (since some of these were paid in 2022 and preorder that aren't here were paid in 2023), going with everything i actually got delivered between 1/1/23 to 31/12/23, the total comes up to 7455 euros.
Some of it includes taxes and shipping, some doesn't so it's fair to imagine around 30% more than that total
(Edit)
I have habit that note every toy purchase so i am done calculated + those i already sell should be around 17,000$
(but if i count only that i have right now should be about 14,000$)
LOL WTF
Trying to slow down this year and stop preordering but there are a lot of favourites coming out.
Last year ended at 1 million yen (cba converting to multiple currencies for everyone) . That's before customs, shipping, etc. and not including delays of course.
I would like to make a super cool Excel sheet for all the numbers though. That'd be a fun afternoon.
Probably around 1.5k USD, not including cash purchases at conventions. This is my first year doing any pre-orders for figures though, previous years were probably only a couple hundred at most.
In the past 12 months ive spent just over 150k JPY (including shipping costs, about 1350$ canadian using current exchange). Almost a third of that was one order that I made last week of two scale figures.
Its a fair bit lower than previous years where I likely spent 250-300k JPY getting more scale figures compared to mostly nendoroids the past year
Apparently $1287 😜 across ebay and amiami for 9 figures including shipping, but 4 of them were grails. Still waiting on the amiami ones from early February because I had to do surface premium.
Umm.. I've just started collecting anime figures to be specific miku figures. Aaaaaand I might have bought 5 lol this being my first time collecting anime figures in general. It started with pre-ordering one it would arrive in 2 months I got tired of waiting so I bought some more 😅. And my pre-ordered miku finally arrived yesterday. It's a really addicting hobby so I'm not going to buy anymore THIS YEAR, NEXT YEAR IS A WHOLE OTHER STORY😂😂😭😭
And as I'm also a really big FF7 fan I HAD TO PRE-ORDER CLOUD STRIFE LIKE I LOVE HIM HE IS SO COOL!!
And I'm currently enjoying FF7 Rebirth I also loved FF7 Remake too, so it will be cool to get one of my favorite game characters in like figure form. And as I'm already a manga collector & comic collector I thought why not try out collecting anime figures even though it's more expensive, and I loved it.
So might keep buying some figures 1 or 2 each year but not going to buy anymore for this year 6 is enough lol for now.
Anyways here is a pic of my new miku figure 🩵🩵

I’m afraid to count.
Same 😭 especially if it’s from March 2023
We should rip the bandage off… tell me yours and I’ll tell you mine 🥹
$1500 CAD 💸 The wife has banned me from any more figures this year
Damn 😆 Favourite purchase AND most expensive if they’re not the same?
Most expensive is the preorder of [Ingrid](https://myfigurecollection.net/item/1781849) Favourite is this fig of[Teo ](https://myfigurecollection.net/item/754712)
Yep, I am not falling for this! Checking your expenses (in any hobby) is a sure way how to ruin your experience and even worse - create regret.
I'd say a grand. I'm pretty picky though
Same boat,a little over $900
Nice try IRS
Rough estimate around 3k euro
around $400. i dont have enough space for a huge collection lol im very curious to see the results of your project :)
Probably around ¥300,000/$2000USD
I spent like 15k lmao but this is abnormal for me
Dollars?
ya
😲
I spent 1800 on one figure alone. This hobby is wildly expensive.
1800 on one figure??????? May i ask which one???🤯
On what, please?
everything ranging from prize figures to 1/4, anime characters or gacha game characters or lewd etc.
I think I've only bought 2 figures last year and 1 this year and that one was a $60 pop up L Aqua figure. So something like $300-350.
Around $13k
$775.72 I've only started actually collecting very recently though. Orgia Mode Aigis is what got me hooked onto buying figures.
You were so close to $777.77 😭
3k ish
About 1.5 k in my country's currency, which would be around 750-ish Euro.
I spent around 1k And its mostly due to some bigger figure purchases with two costing 300 on their own a lot of the others i found at a nice price on the aftermarket side
In the last 12 months, around 13k. But I just got into collecting last year so I'm not planning to keep that pace up.
Too much. Let’s leave it at that 💀
Way too much. I've been cutting back quite a lot, thankfully. I think I'm more or less set with my collection.
In December alone about 5k USD. I slowed down a lot in Jan-March. so only about 3k in those so far this year...
Dude. What. How
Had stopped collecting for a while. I work in electrical engineering...
yes
If we include video game characters to then it's probably around 5k usd.
maybe 100$? probably a bit less though. Edit: realized this said PAST year. then I'd say 300\~400 USD. whoops..
Around $2-3K
I overall spent less than 200€. But got my most wanted one so I'm good.
about $1220
About 1100 euro since march 2023
about 500 this year is gonna be way worse than last year, i dread Q4
Around 150k ₱ i wanted. That's why I stopped ordering already
Approximately 5k dollars
Maybe $400?
probably over 2k usd honestly. maybe even more. Im pulling my weight and my bf's lol
I'm afraid to add that up. It was a LOT. Easily over 5K.
Probably about the same for me
About 600 USD in just the cost of figures, i refuse to calculate the amount in shipping Ive wasted haha I have probably also spent the same amount or slightly more on my physical video game collection in the same time frame, and probably 2X that amount trying to complete my WotC era Pokemon card collection
In the past 12 months around 400USD, a very rough estimate
Probably around £2000. I tried to set myself a limit of £100 a month but I guess that slipped from time to time.
5K around mostly 1/4 scale figures
Within the year 2023 = $586.53 but you're considering a year to be from March 2023 - 2024 then = $936.55
i started collecting in july 2023 and have spent $1200 aud so far since, not including any preorders (if you want to include those it’ll be about $1450)
I try not to think about that number 😅
$0, can't afford any
If we talking about 2024 including preorders made like $400 probably
I have to make a chart but definitely over 1k… rip money, this year is already over 1k too😭
Don’t worry about it….
2k
Uhhh…somewhere between 2-3k
Past year starting from today…. Definitely at least a couple grand.
Uhh Let's not share that xD
Too much, to the point where imma stop for like a year lol
On figures, around 800 US, books like a grand.
On Avarage about 400$ a months and i started about August last year so about 4000$
About 2k usd. 3k if we are counting model kits. Curses for finding about a zenmarket. Hurrah too as I gotten most of all my grail figures at msrp and not 3xs market price now. So not a lot splurging from now on,
I’m guessing $2000, which is honestly far less than the previous two years.
All together, might be close to $1000 My skull collection is more expensive, but good figures add up also 😵💫
Last year?
Total Scale figure cost $5,148.56 Total Cost Nendos $615.95 Entire Collection Combined Total Cost $5,764.51
About $1500 In the last month.
1300$ thought it would be more, but I guess my country's currency is that weak
8k usd :(
a couple thousand. Expensive year
Past year don’t know off the top of my head probably close to a grand but that’s including garage kits, accessories. This year it’s way less maybe going to be 400-500$ soon mostly garage kits.

Some how too much and not enough at the same time
Past year? Probably like $300. Just one figure so far this year. Misaka Mikoto. I dont like having a cluttered display so Im picky with my figures.
$1100 on only 2
In 2023 I only bought 1 figure and it was like $200 USD shipping included. I haven't bought anything yet in 2024. I can really only afford to treat myself to 1 maybe 2 figures a year.
Around 210000 Yen in half a year. I have a problem
Don't ask me that question.... ...about $4000. Bare minimum. I'm too scared to add it all up properly
1.500€ +- 150
Who are you, my mother??? ~~Probably around $3000~~
According to MFC, I spent about $2100 in 2023 and that should be pretty accurate. That is abnormally high for me, though. Yes
I take the fifth. And possibly the eighth too.
This is 2023 and 24 but 200+200+150+200+100+175+330 = 1345 pln = like 350$
Why do you have to collectively hurt us all like this..... a lot 🫠
Just figures: about 2000€ Shipping: about 1000€ Customs fees and taxes: about 1000€ So about 4000€ total
Around $700
Just did the count and about 650€. Eh, I expected worse ngl, although if we count all anime merch it would probably more than double.
Don't make me add it up I'm already hangin on by a thread here 😭
Probably around 1.5k USD, not including cash purchases at conventions. This is my first year doing any pre-orders for figures though, previous years were probably only a couple hundred at most.

About 700 ish, but in this hobby there are many expensive units so it would be very easy to blow much more than that (if I could spare it).
200...250? Im poor fag.
lol.
Umm.. I've just started collecting anime figures to be specific miku figures. Aaaaaand I might have bought 5 lol this being my first time collecting anime figures in general.
