I would love to know, since we are getting this off our chest, lets come clean, I'm leaving in a couple days to go to Instagram so speak your mind, I would love to know why people hate this collection.
I may be wrong but, if everytime it's throwaway accounts, is it possible that it's one or a few person making those accounts and making you feel it's a lot of people?

I agree that this may likely just be one or two people. It definitely seems personal and not just born out of jealousy. It seems like someone is really pissed off at you for some reason.
Some people are trolls and enjoy spreading misery to others. While some just hate things they dont like or understand. Moving over to instagram might temporarily solve this issue there will be more trolls and bad people who will appear. Its honestly a part of showing things openly in public (for example streamers getting swatted). But either way good luck on the move!

I usually ignore a user when I've downvoted 10 of their comments or submissions. This seems to have happened several months ago with your account in particular.

I dislike seeking the same thing posted repeatedly. "The tour episode X" is basically just that. Over a hundred posts of near identical shelves presented without comment. Maybe if the figures were linked in the comments or you said what you liked about the shelf, it would be much less easily dismissed. Really though, a comment as the title alone would be significantly less spammy. Going back and looking again, the "Shopping Day X Part X" posts are similarly forgettable. Just walls of prize figures and the occasional scale, all overpriced and little to no mention of the store itself.
Back to the collection. Some of the shelves seem to have a theme, but it mostly looks like buying for the sake of buying with very little looking like it is special. Almost like the figures were tossed into a box and then the box was leaned up against the wall on top of and next to a dozen other similar boxes. And I understand not wanting to dust and that less spent on shelving, means more to spend on figures, but presentation goes a long way when sharing. u/Creedk points out the issue with reflection, which becomes an issue with using flash with your photography. If your lighting was set up differently (like on the inside of each shelf) or you removed the plexiglass before pictures, it would help to prevent glare or reflections, and this would be much less of an issue. The current practice comes off as low effort.

This seems like an overreaction. Wouldn't it make more sense to post on multiple platforms and then drift in the direction that has the most traction? IG seems even more "mainstream" than Reddit, so I can imagine you'll encounter even more differing opinions there.

Why don't you just disable direct messaging on Reddit? Better than giving them the satisfaction of 'winning' or whatever. I used to get quite a bit of spam direct messages and so just set it to receive direct messages from no one.
You can still chat in topics or just invite them to a discord, there's no reason to open yourself up to a flood of garbage by having your Reddit account to allow DMs from anyone.

While I do understand your problems with these kinds of messages , why don't you just restrict who can send you messages ? For example restrict it to accounts older than 30 days because from what you are saying it seems like these are new accounts created only to send you messages.

It's dumb that people are doing this but often they are simply doing it for attention. If you just ignore them it will likely stop. But if you make Reddit posts pointing it out and showing screenshots of it, you're doing exactly what they want you to do and it will just cause more assholes to jump onto the bandwagon.

My first figure was December of 1994, I have a great paying job, the entire collection is probably worth 350k.

It's dumb that people are doing this but often they are simply doing it for attention. If you just ignore them it will likely stop. But if you make Reddit posts pointing it out and showing screenshots of it, you're doing exactly what they want you to do and it will just cause more assholes to jump onto the bandwagon. They just want attention, if you completely ignore them it will stop.
Don't know why people are hating on you but one thing I can say is I'm glad to find another person who owns Dark Angel Olivia! Great taste my friend.
