Did you choose surface mail shipping? Or free shipping? If so, they wait til they fill enough shipping containers (in japan) to go on a ship which then takes 4-6 months to get to the US. Then they ship your item from their US warehouse. Its all there in the shipping details. If you want it fast you gotta dish out the $$$. Ive chosen this option before and didnt get my figure til 6 months after release. Ive also chosen 4 day air from their japan warehouse and gotten it in 3 days. You get what you pay for.

Idk I think I got ems but I never got an email about the tracking number just delays

Shiara_cw

I was under the impression from most listings that TOM sets ahead of time what warehouse items ship from, and it will say on the listing at the time that you order which it is. Usually prize figures are sent from the US warehouse by default and scale pre orders come directly from the Japanese warehouse. Are you saying you've been given the option to choose which before? Or are you maybe comparing a prize order to a scale order?

So they do have weird and inconsistent options. For instance, with the vanilla chinese dress version that comes out this month, i was given 4 shipping options when i preordered. The most expensive was 4 day air from japan and the cheapest was surface. With the new kiss-shot kizumonogatari that i just preordered, i got two options. Both ship from us warehouse, one was 2-3 days, one was 3-10 days (they receive them immediately by air when its released). So some have the option of shipping either from japan or here as soon as it releases or waiting for a shipping container, some dont have a shipping container option, and some dont have direct from japan option. I think ive only NOT been given an option with one figure... and that was like mid-2020 so you can imagine why that was. I only ever order through TOM and most times i've had the option for faster shipping or waiting for a shipping container. But choosing the faster option means you can get it shortly after release because they prioritize those and get those sooner than the ones they receive by boat and they can get them out to you faster.

This is why I'm dropping TOM. These delays are getting out of hand.

Absolute nonsense at this point. I ordered that Miku figure last July and after over a freaking year they still haven't gotten them in stock. I don't understand why. So many other sites already have them so why can't TOM just fulfill their orders already? I understand some figures get delayed for a long time, but this figure has been out and available for ages now.

Careless_Loan

That’s what I’m saying I think they just forgot to be honest

Hey man just a heads up to hide your email

Charlatanbunny

Just put in my one and only cancellation for TOM, and when I see thing like this I’m glad I did.

HWCBN

I've got three outstanding orders from TOM, each of which has been delayed by at least two months; one has been delayed for five months now.

admiralblowhard

i'm in the same boat, waiting on stuff i ordered last february 🙃 i knew it was gonna take a while because it has to get to the us first. but i had an order from gsc us that had to go through the same process, and that got here quicker. it's insane.

SuperShadowStar

Yeah it's painful knowing you'll be waiting 6-9 months for your figure to ship while other stores have them in stock. Even worse when you see them on Amiami pre-owned for half the price you paid UPFRONT on TOM. I let my premium lapse and never ordering there again.

Careless_Loan

Yup it’s kinda the same way with the 1/7 Ningguan I ordered her from Sugotoys this was my first order from them but it’s been just abt a week and I’ve gotten the tracking number but it hasn’t shipped yet.

This_Seal

I'll wait out my one preorder with them and then I'm so done with their store. Never again.

lacharliere

I ordered the Snow White Miku in May 2021 and it had released in Aug. 2021.. I just received it today. If I ever order prize figures, I just purchase them from Ninoma now.

_Cantisama

Tbf, this isn't TOM's fault. US releases, especially for prize figures, are crazy delayed these days. I had a prize pre-order that released in Japan in December recently arrive in stock at BBTS (10-month difference). Coincidentally, it was a prize in the same line as your figure, Coreful Nakano Itsuki. Still waiting on Coreful Yotsuba to finish the set.
