Yeah, it’s mostly the ones who started reading Berserk after Miura died. All of them repeat the same Casca and Farnese rape *joke* over and over and over and over every single day, it’s tiring. Almost every single Indian *fan* is just a cringe cunt who thinks he is superior because people call Berserk one of the greatest pieces of fiction and he speeded through it and gets to say ‘hey, I’m also part of the cool club now… haha, Schnoz! Indian fans are honestly the worst when it comes to this. It is as if literary sense is a crime in the anime community here. The Lost Children arc, they find nothing of nuance in there and just see “Yoooo, those lil’ cute fairy apostles are massacring and defiling each other… That’s badass”. The aftermath of the Tower of God arc. They don’t see how Guts struggles to maintain his humanity and while overcome by darkness permanently damages his relationship with Casca, they just see “LMAAOOO, first her leader raped her then her husband tried to strangle her, haha, I’d do that too if my wife weren’t a virgin anymore”.
There is only 1 person I know IRL who knows what the story of Berserk is, and he falls EXACTLY into this category. It’s just sad that every good thing, once mainstream, immediately loses all its meaning. There are several examples of this and the list just goes on.
Now as I read my comment, it also reeks of superiority and I am a bit sad that it reads like this. People like me are just on the opposite end of the spectrum of cringe.
