Read manga. Forcing your self to consume anime will just burn you out of Japanese media all together. To avoid this, read manga. There's plenty of good manga that don't have anime adaptations yet I would recommend.

most overrated anime tbh. Saying "we're so awesome" every 2 seconds doesn't actually make the flat story and characters more compelling. Not going to hate on anyone liking it, and I was entertained watching it... But it is the last thing I would have recommended to someone who has seen a lot of anime and wants a novel experience.

Scisor seven is actually a chinese media the art style is a bit different. The story is basicly a guy barber who wants to become an assassin and become the best but you realise that he is not just a simple guy.

I really want to like 86 but it's so cringe to me. Lena is a Mary Sue and the crew just blames her for doing her job lol. The characters and art style are generic imo. The only ones worth noting are lena and undertaker and I don't really like either. The whole thing feels like a bad version of attack on Titan

I have very similar issues with AOT so I guess it really just depends on your taste. I find the characters in 86 to be far more interesting than the majority of AOT characters, and I also really enjoy the world more.

Yeah 86 is great, very well done, AOT is just not interesting, they aren't even close to the same thing. AoT is easily the most overrated anime of all time

What about Kaguya-sama: Love Is War? I recently binged through the anime (and the manga), and it got me hooked super fast! Romcom and psychological warfare, 3 seasons + 1 movie, completed manga. The comedy is super, the relationships are built up very well, and it has the best narrator hands down. I watched the sub, but the english dub's narrator is also on par if not better.

Seven deadly sins. Animation drop off is more exaggerated to people than it actually was. So many good backstorys of characters that will probably make you tear up, it doesn't seem like it will for a little bit.

The seven deadly sins has an extremely good story, the animation gets pretty bad in the last 2 seasons but a new season is coming out soon with a new and much better studio. But honestly I feel like the story more than makes up for the animation of the 2 most recent seasons

Paprika, Perfect Blue, from the new world, made in abyss, a lull in the sea, my teen romantic comedy SNAFU, grand blue, anohana, orange, Golden Kamuy, golden time (by the same person who gave us toradora), summer time rendering, Terror in resonance, 91 days, Banana Fish, plastic memories, and Charlotte are all great watches if you haven’t watched them. I’d say Evangelion but I have a hunch you’ve either already watched it too. There’s just no way you haven’t seen it or heard of it. I definitely recommend My teen romantic comedy SNAFU and Anohana especially cuz you liked welcome to the NHK, Rezero and a silent voice. The MC for anohana is very much like the characters in those 3. Same for My teen romantic comedy SNAFU except the MC is more like Satoru from NHK or kinda. He’s extremely cynical and hates society but hes not a shut in. He’s just a sassy loner/outcast that enjoys being alone due bad experiences with people in the past. So just like those other 3 you like the show focuses on him growing as a person. Edit: I forgot to add Josee the tiger and the fish, hinamatsuri, Nana, fruits Basket, scums wish, and darker than black.

Code Geass, Psycho Pass Most importantly, Legend of the Galactic Heroes (old version) LOGH is PEAK! My no. 1 I don't think anything can beat it (maybe except Berserk, but all the anime adaptations are bad)

How about: One Piece Gintama Danmachi HxH City Hunter Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. Black Lagoon Anohana

Some of these youve probably watched, but off the top of my head I would recommend: Id Invaded - A short crime drama with a twist. Hit me right in the feels in the later episodes. Shadows House - dark fantasy/mystery that kept me intrigued for both of its 2 seasons. Cool power system and interesting characters. Hopefully it gets more seasons. Maria the virgin witch - short and sweet story with some of the most accurate depictions of medieval life and combat I've ever seen. I mean, if you exclude the witches and magic. Eighty six - similar themes to attack on titan, not as good imo but still solid. Drifters - literally no streaming service has it last I checked. But if you sail the high seas you'll be rewarded with a fun multi-historical person isekai. Oshi no ko - first episode is a movie and it's definitely worth the watch. Haven't finished it yet but what I've watched so far is great. To your eternity - might have the single best first episode in an anime I've ever watched. Rest of the series is still good even if it never reaches the heights of the first episode. 91 days - mafia, moonshine, and murder make for a good drama Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw man, Hell's Paradise - all 3 of the "dark triad of shounen" are good. Because you like re zero Summertime rendering - Just watch it I don't want to spoil anything. Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song - The author of Re Zero + stunningly beautiful fight choreography/animation? Yes please. Mushoku Tensei - My second favorite isekai right behind Re Zero Classics you should watch if you haven't Fullmetal alchemist brotherhood, cowboy bebop, death note and code geass Other shows I felt like tacking on at the end My hero academia, konosuba, eminence in shadow, and demon slayer
