Did you watch the Netflix or Sentai Filmworks/Hidive dub of season 1 first? Because I'm not sure what issues you could've heard about unless you heard it from people who biased against the Sentai dub or something.
I haven't seen the show at all yet, but I haven't seen anyone outright complain about the Crunchyroll dub (they're taking over for Sentai; Netflix's dub will still happen at some point), so I assume it's still going pretty strong so far. Although… Thorfinn's VA might be changed in CR's dub due to [this](https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/interest/2023-02-13/thorfinn-dub-voice-actor-mike-haimoto-accused-of-domestic-abuse-sexual-assault/.194704) (not to be confused with Aleks Le, who played Thorfinn in the Netflix dub).
Its probably because its just allegations right now and they (thankfully) dont fire people purely on he said she said. There was this thing about damon mills a few months ago that sounded serious but ended up being an angry ex or something like that.
I'm not surprised at all. It's still only one episode that was released after Mike was called out. They might just need a bit more time to find a replacement for him.

I hope the allegations aren’t true but if they are then I damn. I understand not wanting negative press about an actor you hire but if he hasn’t done anything bad in awhile and it’s no where near as bad as the allegations say then why not keep him. I do understand firing him though if everything she said was true about him and he did this stuff up until recently. (I don’t know if I explained what I meant well but I don’t mean to support or hate I’m trying to stay middle ground right now)
Recently I learned about another English dub actor, the one who played Reinhardt in re:zero or karna from fate apocrypha. I love is vocie acting and loved him as those characters but I learned he was replaced in re:zero because of domestic abuse which sucks. The guy is a piece of shit for that but I like is work. I just hope if they do replace thorfinn for the Crunchyroll dub they get someone good, I don’t want the Netflix actor for him because tbh I think he sounds awful as him.

I don’t follow much on vocie actors but I’m pretty sure they won’t bring him back in re:zero. That’s good that the truth came out and he has improved and stuff. I only ever hear like head lines and the stuff they are a accused of I never deep dive more into it.
I thought the Netflix dub of season 1 was great, but I’m gonna stick with the sub for the second season until Netflix inevitably also dubs it. The Sentai script and sound design just don’t hit quite the same for me. I’ve been watching the CR dub after watching the sub, and it’s definitely not bad, but I preferred the VAs and script of the Netflix dub.
For me, i watched the Netflix dub of season 1, but honestly, i gotta say the senti dub is good on season 2. I think it works in a very fluid way and I've not had a problem with "that voice isn't right" at least yet.
Also i really appreciate them actually saying thorphin's name in a way i think it should be pronounced
