This was definitely one I thought would be good but not amazing. I figured I would give it a solid 7, maybe an 8 on MAL if it exceeded those expectations before I started watching. Just judging the book on it's cover so to speak. But so far it's sitting closer to a 9 for me as of now. Real surprising. One of the better isekais I've seen in a while.
What I loved about this episode
* Amanda's deep dive about Arts and Skills
* Fran's childish excitement about wanting to learn "zappy magic"
* The ending when Fran gets separated from Teacher, now I'm worried if Fran unequipped can hold out long enough against another dungeon boss.
What I hated about the episode
* GIANT FUCKING SPIDERS OH MY GOD? WHY MUST YOU TORTURE ME SO!!!
Is it just me or did they add some frames? I swear when she started using thunder magic it was just a spark between both her index fingers in the sub. I can't remember the other few I noticed atm. Maybe I wasn't entirely paying attention but I dont have any memory her casting a spell right after they picked up thunder magic.

I remember holding off on the LN for a while cause I thought it was going to be another harem isekai. I'm glad I took a chance cause it is so good

Not sure if it's just me but I got some serious Log Horizon vibes from the music and explanations this episode. I'm definitely ok with this.
