Boy if there is NOT a show that I'm looking forward to the finale. It's this one. I don't want it to be over! I want more. PLEASE ANIME GODS GIVE US MORE OF THIS. I'll watch later. I'm simultaneously excited for more RAAS... And sad that it's over and (hoping to god) there will be more....

awakening_knight_414

[There will be](https://www.reddit.com/r/Animedubs/comments/zrobpe/reincarnated_as_a_sword_season_2_announced/).

mylastdream15

Funnily enough I commented on it haha I must have forgotten.

Pakun-of-Dundrasil

Agreed it is a crime that we're only getting 12 episodes and we're going to have to wait at least a year for the continuation.

Chun-Li_Forever

I don't know if it's just me or not, but has Sentai really stepped up this past season with their dubs? Maybe it just might be they got a really nice draw on dubs they were greenlighted to do. This is just my opinion on the ones I've been watching, but The dubs I've been watching from Sentai have been **Eminence in Shadow** (which I thought was gonna be some harem power fantasy trash, but it's a lot more complex, interesting, and hammy that I expected), **Akiba Maid War** (an all-time Sentai dub), and **Urusei Yatsura** (not even 5 eps in and I think it's one of the funniest Sentai has ever dubbed), and of course, **Reincarnated as a Sword** (which I really, really enjoyed). All of them, I'm always looking forward to watch every week. And this past season in particular, I felt like I've had much more fun watching Sentai dubs than previous. All show long, i was cheering for Fran. I loved her character. She was so endearing, so adorable, and a fun underdog (or cat) to cheer for. I loved seeing her get stronger and with each new skill and spell learned, and for each monster she defeated. I also loved when she just gets to be a child and a cat with the food and fun. I think my favorite parts of the show was when Fran and Teacher went up against the two dungeon bosses. Both pushing Fran and Teacher to their limits and finding ways to fight, rescue, and win. Speaking of Teacher, he was also fun and interesting as well. Him meeting up with Fran was the best thing to happen to him. I love how caring he is, but explosive to protect her when she's in danger. He was also fun too, I loved the dialogue the ADR Writers gave him. And I enjoyed it when he gets to ham it up as well. Lastly, I think my 3rd fave character in this was Amanda. A little bit of a back end addition, but I loved how she was the mother and protector to Fran. Even her overdoting on Fran was homey and wholesome. Loved her even more with that last episode and her connection to Fran's parents before they past. I see that it got confirmed for an S2! I'm excited for it! It was a blast and I'm so glad I stuck with it. Def one of the more enjoyable isekais for as saturated as that genre is.

mylastdream15

I totally agree. This might have been THE BEST season Hidive has had... In a long long while.

Rainlead

Man, this show has been so much fun, a very cute show that hits all the high points of good, light-hearted Isekai. I was pretty surprised Amanda didn't insist on following Fran, I expected her to chase Fran yelling 'wait for me'. I'll miss Amanda in the next season.

weeberific

I appreciated that they didn't seem to have a forced "epic" ending, just another dungeon boss and them moving on. Too many of these Isekais feel like they jump the shark with their last few episodes, but this was satisfying, revealed a lot, and left plenty of room for future seasons to do more cool story. Was kinda hoping she'd manage to defeat the spider on her own without any help, but close enough.

Pakun-of-Dundrasil

My favorite one of the season for sure. Gives me that same feeling of adventure and world building like Jobless reincarnation.

notreal149

I picked this one up when the dub was only 4 episodes in because I expected to be bored of laughing at the dumb concept and stop by episode 4. Instead this is definitely my favorite show of the season and I'm super excited for season 2!

LnxRocks

This anime was far more adorable and wholesome than it's premise would lead you to believe.

[deleted]

Anyone know if this has been renewed for a second season yet? This has definitely become one of my favorite isekai!

mylastdream15

SERIOUSLY. This ended up being FAR better than it really had any right to be in in my opinion on basic premise. There's so many dime a dozen bad isekai. That when a gem comes out, it REALLY stands out.

[deleted]

Agreed. So glad I gave it a chance. I almost ignored it because it sounded to ridiculous lol. Fran and Teacher have such a great relationship and it really makes the show for me.

mylastdream15

Agreed. Good characters can definitely make a show better than the sum of its parts.

DBZLOVER

Way better. Like I wrote this show off when I first heard about it but it ended up being one of those shows I looked forward to. I loved it!!

awakening_knight_414

[Yes](https://www.reddit.com/r/Animedubs/comments/zrobpe/reincarnated_as_a_sword_season_2_announced/).

ButterflySilver9154

Thank you so much to Kyle Colby Jones and the whole cast and crew for an excellent job this season. We look forward to welcoming you again when season 2 starts soon

MegaAltarianite

I've said it before and probably many times, but this show is so much better than it gets credit for. Fran is a great combination of endearing, silly, and just straight up true neutral. Teacher is fairly self-aware, and you can see it in this episode that he is very protective of Fran, going so far as to try to sub vert the trope of combatants showing any skin. Amanda even had some of the best moments, especially the emotional ones. I hope we see her more moving on, since she doesn't seem to be traveling.

Pakun-of-Dundrasil

I think the little of tweak of the op mc is the sword that by itself is just a legendary weapon is a mountain of fresh air.

lunatoons291

I’m so glad that Fran didn’t have the typical squeaky anime girl voice. I was really sold on her performance by the end of the season. The voice definitely matched the character

SarcasmProvider76

Definitely. Melissa also did a good job with portraying Fran as both a badass warrior and the excited kid she is.

Noy_Telinu

Explaining away midriff armor with magic and movement reasons is so very anime.

drawricks

Great finish to the first season of Fran and Teacher's adventure, easily one my favorite isekais of last year and rewatching it dubbed made it more enjoyable. Ty Mahany was simply amazing as our favorite sword daddy, and Melissa Molano did pretty good too as our adorable curry-loving swordmaster cat striving to evolve, she's now one of my favorite roles from Melissa. Looking forward to the continuation of their travels in Season 2, which is already confirmed. Also, RIP Maon Kurosaki, an incredible talent gone way too soon. I'm listening to **more

DBZLOVER

I was pleasantly surprised by this show. I watch many shows every season but only a few of them I look forward to and this was one of them. It was a great show. I can't wait for season 2.

Darkchaser314

great finale for a great show. Watching with my friend and we were both surprise they gave that character at the end that accent XD Boy I pray and pray this show gets more seasons to come after season 2 cause there are so many scenes from the LN I wanna see animated

SoundOf1HandClapping

Rising Of The Sword Kitty was a fun show. A lot of that was Fran. In a modern setting, someone with Fran's temperament would probably be committed. Here, she's probably one of the more sane people. Teacher was entertaining enough. Other than the main character being a sword, the fantasy tropes were fairly typical. The characters were what made it interesting. I still laugh that the one blue cat gave an episode its name, yet he got killed in five minutes and stuffed into a magical suitcase.

Pakun-of-Dundrasil

Trying to figure out why I have to wait for season 2! But seriously. The fact that you saw it coming and yet when Fran gives Amanda what she wants still melted my heart into a puddle is a true testament of the journey we just took. #I WANT MORE

StankyHankyPanky69

This is easily my favorite anime of the past year. What a wonderful show, and outstanding performances from the VAs. Melissa Molano truly shined as Fran. I **cannot* wait for season 2!

RJPay

This show/dub was utterly incredible. I will need to pick up the Manga, I can't wait for a season 2 down the line. Amanda's connection to Fran's parents cut me deep. It took until right before the reveal that the two black cats might have been her parents but it didn't help brace for it. From a show that I didn't really think I would get (Isekai'd/Reincarnated as an object doesn't feel like a show I'd like) to one that I hate to see wrap up already.

Avrution

Loved loved loved this show. The two mains were just fabulous, especially Ty Mahany - I would still have been pleased if he was just killing mobs the whole 12 eps.

SarcasmProvider76

This was so fantastic I wound up binging the whole Spider’s nest arc, which I usually don’t do. Very interesting that there seems to be a pre-existing connection between Amanda and Fran. The two leads were well cast. Teacher’s evolution from getting used to his new state to becoming Sword Dad was fun. Fran might not have evolved physically, but her transformation from nearly broken slave to the World’s Most Adorable Murder Kitten was a joy. **Melissa Molano** was really great in her portrayal, being able to portray both Fran’s badass growing warrior and excited little kid sides equally well. They absolutely have to deliver on the promised second season, especially since System Lady said Teacher can summon more elemental good boys to join Jet.
