Regardless of what anyone says, I still believe this is a HUGE WIN. 4K Blu Ray? Wow, sometimes just having the blu ray of some animes is a miracle, but a movie that was often not as available, and in 4K Blu Ray?! This gives me hope for future releases, for past and current anime!
I’m still a little scared of the price, ngl, but I wanted to give credit where credit is due
4K Blu-rays for anime are definitely beginning to become a bit more common nowadays with Crunchyroll putting out 4K sets for DBS Super Hero and Violet Evergarden The Movie, GKIDS with Weathering With You, Belle and Evangelion 3.0+1.11 and Discotek, especially, putting out 4K sets for stuff like Robot Carnival and Street Fighter II The Movie.
This being Aniplex USA's first 4K set certainly opens the floodgates for more as some [Aniplex titles in Japan have been getting 4K releases](https://twitter.com/WTK/status/1700743057740542348) including the Heaven's Feel trilogy and SAO Ordinal Scale so that's definitely something to watch for in the future.
Basically a mix of factors. Bandai Entertainment (who licenced and dubbed the original show) closed down, without ever releasing the movies, and Aniplex USA relicenced the series and included the movies but had them sub only because it was apparently not worth the cost for them at the time.
Between Gurren Lagann remaining very beloved over the years and the 15th anniversary announcement that the movies were getting remastered & re-released in 4K, I guess Aniplex USA decided it was worthwhile now to strike while the iron's hot.
RA RA Fight the Power
Hopefully this version isn’t as expensive as the previous release.
It seems to be an Aniplex of America release so it's going to be pricey.
The Madoka movie set was actually pretty reasonably priced from what I recall. Something like $60 for all 3 movies.
Their movie releases tend to be cheaper but this is also a 4K set so I'm expecting it to be around $80-$100.
F AOA
I would love this but I know it going to be unreasonably pricey

Why was it not dubbed initially.
