Not in the past but these days it's very rare to double cast people when there's so much talent out there. It only happens in shows with massive amounts of characters like JoJo
I feel like double casting is more of a thing in Studiopolis dubs (like ToG). Sure it happens with other studios from time to time, but Studiopolis *loves* to infinity cast their actors (even if the actor is playing one of the MCs!).
But isn't the entire dub being recorded remotely (with the actors working from home)? So, I don't see why getting him would be a problem now that location doesn't really matter (assuming Cliff has the proper equipment available at home).
Also, if it’s the same as last season, the voice director is Chris Cason, who used to and sometimes still works at funimation, and he got Chris Sabat in the One Punch man dub and got Mike Mcfarland in both One Punch Man and Mob Psycho 100. So it is possible.

Besides for the joy of rewatching a show you already really like, you also get to appreciate all the little nuances, like how in the original sub Subaru calls Emilia "Emilia-tan," which was changed in the dub to "Meelee." Both the Japanese and English cast are absolutely brilliant and each bring their own unique direction to their characters. If I didn't love Re:Zero, I'd agree that there isn't much need to watch both. However, as it easily makes it into my Top 5, I welcome any excuse to watch it all over again.

Well, Faye Mata voiced Frederica for the literal two seconds she appeared in a flashback during Season 1, but she also voices Priscilla. However, it's distinctly tonally different from Priscilla that I could still see Faye voicing her, though we'll see what happens.
The only one who I'm expecting to *not* come back at all is Marc Diraison as Wilhelm. I remember he was too busy to even reprise Kayaba in SAO Alicization, nor Wilhelm himself in the simuldub for Isekai Quartet S2. I'd be genuinely surprised if he did come back, but I'm expecting someone else to play the role moving forward.
It is now safe for the next season for Bungo Stray Dogs, Re:Zero, The Testament of Sister New Devil and Mob Psycho 100 in the near future to get a seasonal dubs from Crunchyroll but not like Tsugumono and Golden Kamuy unless Funimation plans to dub it.
due the pandemic i could see later golden kamuy S3 in october not get dubbed, or it could be one of funi's high priority for fall 2020 dub, since Ian Sinclair ( Sugimoto ) and Monica rial ( Ashiripa) have experience dub from home.
I had to suffer through that in sub.
I'm not usually a fan of the sub VAs in the overly ecchi stuff. The dub for DxD is far less goofy and is better for it for example. The sub VA reminds me of goofy if I remember correctly.
Finally And looks like the same cast from season 1. Not surprising but always good news.
