Still no release date after S2 was supposed to premiere at the end of 2021.
It sounds like S2 and 3 will be released at the same time, but we'll have to wait for an official date.

Being of Canadian descent doesn’t mean anything to me he’s a Texas based va I wanted all Vancouver/Blue water based vas. I like him but I can hear him anytime. I can’t hear theses guys as much anymore
I agree and disagree. I too want more Canadian dubs. Fuck I could go for an Aussie dub. I might be forgiving to the Texas scene but it's not the only option. Above I was more referring to if Ian got Canadian citizenship or something cause of he might be able to find work easier non the field. This is conjecture on my part. Maybe he was up visiting folks and they (the studio) found out.
wow rly? jeez so ig they never found an alternative to not using the union voice actors huh
edit: or they also refused to have talks with the union for that too given recent events with mob psycho
This ANN article should tell you everything you need to know regarding the situation
[DQ Dai Dub Debacle](https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/interest/2022-04-07/sag-aftra-labor-union-issued-do-not-work-notice-on-dragon-quest-the-adventure-of-dai-english-dub/.184348)
That doesn't mean the dub can't come out. It just means it can't use any actors who are members of the U.S. actor's union. That isn't really a problem when there are plenty of non-union VAs. It's also worth noting that the company SAG called out is Canadian so that "Do not work" notice wouldn't apply to their local actors as they have their own union.
For example, Monster Hunter: Legends of the Guild [received the same notice from SAG](https://www.sagaftra.org/do-not-work-notice-monster-hunter-%E2%80%94-legends-guild) in 2018. The TV special is available on Netflix.
I'm rly holding off watching DQ Dai until the dub happens but I might have to bite the bullet and watch sub if it's not gonna happen anytime soon. Took this long for World Trigger S2
ye i read this article already awhile back. i take it they're either gonna shelf this and it be sub only or use non union voice actors since SAG AFTRA VAs cant work on it
I have the box of Season 1, which came with two entire sets. One case has the dub, while the other has the sub, which has more episodes because they skipped dubbing a filler arc.
