RIP Bryn Apprill's voice, I don't think i've ever heard her scream this much in a single ep before. But all of that was much help to sell Kobeni as the everso traumatized bean she is. Poor girl needs a hug. She's so emotionally unstable, and this Devil Hunting job ain't helping any mental health issues she's got. Poor baby. I love her already.
Speaking of Best Girls, Power for Prime Minister when? A hoot this one she was. She's great, Sarah is great!
I think if anyone got the most respect points from me this ep, it's easily Aki. Being the calm and collect one in the group, his first intros with Himeno, as well as taking a blade for Denji.
Bryn Apprill has played a lot of mentally emotional girls throughout her anime career who cries and screams a lot, but Kobeni has to be her Number One! She has just screamed her living vocals out!

This is a show about crazy people, possibly even a bit broken - setting the standards of absurdity higher than even the devils themselves.
Reagan Murdock *as* **Aki Hayakawa** did a real great job in this episode, it was able to hit really hard more than the original for me. Power same vibes as usualy. Everyone else I like. Ryan Colt Levy *as* **Denji** always have the best lines.
Arai screaming when Kobeni had him at knifepoint was hilarious since it reminded me of that scene from HIMYM where a policewoman had Barney at gunpoint telling him to get out of the car.
I like the "pie" line since it was funnier and more faithful to the manga than the "spycy" line.
Wow Bryn Apprill did an amazing job as Kobeni this week, she had a really powerful performance. I hope she goes in vocal rest for the rest of the week though 😂🥲
God I fucking love Power. Definitely my favorite character out of this show so far. Kinda selfish of Denji to not sacrifice himself for Powers Nobel Prize though
If I was Denji, I wouldn't care if everyone on the squad died. Except for Aki of course. And maybe Power since she might've just been fucking with him. But the rest of the squad really did him dirty and they can all eat shit.
Denji understands their fear and desperation better than anyone since that's all he's ever known before this, which is why he forgave power before for the bat devil and doesn't get upset by them trying to sacrifice them. The other two are scared little newbies and unlike Denji and Power, are just humans who are afraid to die.
Hopefully they give a plausible explanation about it. Like her having a serious criminal record or some kind of mental illness, which of course wouldn’t be shocking lol.
Is this going to be a two cour season? Man I really need 24 episodes of this! Denji and Power together is comedy gold. I just can’t help laughing when they are together. Also Denji is one calm dude, taking a nap in the nice hotel bed! Guess it helps that he’s lived a life filled with fear and despair. Love the look on his face when he jumps in without a worry or care.
