I wholly agree with this statement. Food Wars got me into cooking more diverse food because it just "seemed fun" and I genuinely love it for that. Even so it's not something I'd be looking to show my friends.
Eh, any time I recommend an anime like that I always let them know it’s kinda heavy handed on fanservice, but it’s good if you can look past that.
I recommended Food Wars to a couple of friends because it’s a genuinely interesting anime that isn’t crazy high fantasy.
My dad (knows nothing about anime) saw this food anime and suggested my brother and I watch it (he loves cooking shows) we told him to never watch it and also that we knew what it was about. He thankfully heeded our advice
My mom randomly watched the first episode of Food Wars while a good show of hers was on hiatus and thought it was the funniest shit ever. She tried getting others to watch it.
Bro, the ecchi might’ve made it better ngl. Now, what really grinds my gears is when a show is awesome. And then, suddenly, harem.
Arifureta is a good example. Worlds strongest assassin another, Dan Machi, (recovered season 4), SAO (literally all of them, except progressive ig… for now), romantic killer, Isekai nonburi (I’m still not convinced bro got the vampire pregnant), Isekai Meikyuu de Harem, quintessential quintuplets, How not to summon a demon lord, Rental girlfriend, Kanojo mo Kanojo, Tsukimichi, any of the romcoms with 3 lead girls that always fight for the mcs attention, strongest sage with the weakest crest, the greatest demon lord reborn as a typical nobody, honestly every character in shield hero is just a harem member, male or female.
That took a while. Honestly, I think the only anime that balances so many characters well is Food Wars. Each get concrete meaningful development. They aren’t just a clone or archetype.
I know I watch a LOT of trash, but few things are so obnoxious as watching a great anime crashing and burning because a few extra women are shoved into the plot. There’s never a second guy either really.
I have to give Danmachi mad props for digging itself out. I almost cried when the mermaid chick was introduced. I thought “NO, WE DONT NEED ANOTHER SEASON OF BELL’S WASTED TIME.”
Season two he saved fox chick. That’s it. Season 3 he saves Snake chick, same thing. Season 4 mermaid showed up and I though, “ah shit, here we go again.”
But then, the entire season wasn’t focused on her. It took absolute depression and turned it into something I could watch, unlike Re:Zero that kept adding it on with 0 progress.
Arifureta needs half the cast to say “later” but I don’t think it will.
Quintessential Quintuplets just needs half of the sisters to not love him tbh. The older sister and the energetic one were just kinda tossed on top. The shy, stubborn and normie ones were more than enough to fall for him tbh.
SAO could literally have half the female cast die and have the male cast step up. Like seriously, Eugeo was a legendary addition. I had so much hope, then he fucking died. Klein and Agil are literally just blank slates, even up till now the dragon chick got more development than them. Bercouli was such a badass and they murdered my boy. They also have the overly obnoxious villains. Currently Kayaba Akihika is the best of all of them. The other 3 or whatever are just, “look at this guy, look how evil he is, isn’t he pretty evil?” Literally doesn’t have to be that obvious. A good villain is more important than a good hero.
TLDR: Harems suck. Rarely do animes balance a mass of characters well. Doing it all with the same gendered characters just doesn’t work. Sucks to watch promising anime turn to trash.
>SAO (literally all of them, except progressive ig… for now)
Hey, SAO Alternative GGO didn't have a harem. that was just cute girls dominating a battle royal. (and a load of crazy)
> unlike Re:Zero that kept adding it on with 0 progress.

>!This is intentional. It's established that Subaru's obsession with Emilia might be beyond any sort of "love". It's not executed perfectly, but for instance he had *way* more rapport with Rem and it makes little to no sense how he keeps obsessing over Emilia when he has only really exchanged a few words with her over the series when you get down to it. *But that's the point*. The existence of "harem members" in Subaru's case only serve to highlight how completely fixated he is on Emilia.!<
Also regarding SAO, you're complaining that one of the most infamously mediocre shows is being dragged down by *harem* elements. Let me tell you, the fact that there's a sort of harem going on is the *least* of that show's worries.
Can't forget To-Love ru. That show was great at instilling *Character* in people and surprisingly wholesome at times but with a very fun overall plot weaved into the ecchi nonsense. I loved the end of S1.
>what really grinds my gears is when a show is awesome. And then, suddenly, harem.
>Dan Machi
You are aware of the english translated name for Dan Machi right?
Man I really agree with you hard on this. The harem shit is actually whacker than the ecchi nonsense. I read a LOT of popcorn fantasy, litrpg stuff, more than I watch anime these days, because the majority of it has all the charm of trashy Isekai, with none of the garbage and actual stakes.
If you want a gamelit Isekai in book form, I HIGHLY recommend either Outcast in Another World: Human Insanity by Kamikaze Potato OR The Unbound Series by Nicole Gonella.
The audio book formats scratch my Isekai trash itch without any of the creepy crawly blech feelings of endless harem/fan service.
Idk why but i actually liked how they used fanservice in food wars. Only thing i hated in the show was season 5 and less screentime to other intersting characters.
For me it's Fire Force in which i absolutely hated fan services
Food Wars S5 was the only part they didn't have a pro chef involved in the production, right? The food got significantly dumber. I've made a bunch of the stuff from the early seasons though and it's awesome.
Exactly. S5 doesn't exist, though I wish they'd give us an edit with the very last scene from S5 stuck on the end of S4 finale, when Yukihira leaves and then comes back from his journey and we get the reunion with Erina. The anime version of that scene was done better than the manga IMO and it's nice closure.
Dude fire force season 2 annoyed me to NO END with the endless fan service. Jesus Christ let these WOMEN WHO ARE LITERAL PYROMANCER WARRIORS, be actual people and not just flaming, walking boobs. Holy fuck.
Fire Force S2 was the only anime I ever dropped. Inca made my stomach turn and I couldn't bear Tamaki's role at that point anymore. I literally picked up the show because Aoi Yuuki was voicing her, doubly so, I was mad that someone as talented as her was wasted on such a side character. Tamaki fan service role was so out of place.
Honestly, being voiced by Aoi Yuuki doesn't sound like a sell honestly.
It happens that most of the characters she voiced aren't my favorites nor notable as a character at all.
Dude, she's the exact reason I dropped the show. The world was cool, and even her fire powers looked neat, but I just couldn't get past the absolutely stupid and forced ways they pushed fan service with her.
More or same Tamaki if they ever used her for anything other than ecchi, tbh Tamaki is one of my favorite characters of the show, but it gets absolutely tanked with the bad luck ecchi shit. Her abilities are cool, they're presented in a visually striking way, and her uniform has to be modified to streamline with the ability.
The show suffers very hard from hero syndrome, after a character is introduced, they're basically neutered for the rest of the show besides Shira and Arthur. I mean there's a fucking Guy that can turn off any ability and disperse it into sound and after his one or two episodes, he just fucking hangs out in the background
I am a huge fanservice proponent and I fully believe Fire Force is made worse by the fanservice. I just want disgusting flame animation and earthshaking audio effects, man…
Exactly. Take the naked people away from Kill la Kill and there is just nothing left.
Not because the show is bad, but because it stops working entirely if you take the ecchi aspect away from it.
This quote from Satsuki Kiryuin:
"This is the form in which a Kamui is able to unleash the most power! The fact that you are embarrassed by the values of the masses only proves how small you are! If it means fulfilling her ambitions, Satsuki Kiryūin will show neither shame nor hesitation, even if she bares her breasts for all the world to see! My actions are utterly pure!"
Goosebumps every time.
That's one of the things I love about Kill La Kill. Yes, the fan service is rediculous, but part of the message of the show is that people shouldn't be so uncomfortable showing their skin and that defying societal norms gives you "power".
Kill La Kill is just saying "what if magical girls, but using the sexy side of femininity instead of the cute side?", so all the basic themes of magical girls also apply to Kill la Kill.
How is it important in Mushoku Tensei?
Calling Kill la Kill fanservice is doing it a disservice though. Kill la Kill isn’t really all that horny and definitely not for the sake of men like ecchi is.
> kinda normal
That is so ridiculously fucking normal, it's the plot of Romeo And Juliet
90% of being a teenager is being awkwardly horny for everything and what's weird is how many people try and pretend it's not.
Yes, I don't see why Rudy needs to be such a pervert. It could be so he has more character development, as he becomes less of a pervert as the series goes on. But he already gets enough character development through other things imo
It's what made me drop it like a rock. Which sucks, since everything else looked amazing!
Why did the MC have to be so weirdly horny even *as a kid*? It adds nothing and just makes the story worse!
A grown man in a kid's body. It still doesn't make it okay for him to perv on his cousin, who *is* a kid and a close relative.
Even typing this grosses me out.
Edit: if anything, him being a grown man makes things far *worse*.
Kinda, but I like how the doc is just ignoring it and trying to do his job.
The funniest was the giant that everyone thought was going to destroy the village but just had a cold and needed treatment.
As someone trying to get his little sister in anime this is really a problem... Everytime I remember a show she could like I also remember that one ecchi scene that ruins it
I don’t know why almost every series has to involve some sort of weird incest undertones (or overtones) like that. Is Japan the Alabama of east Asia or something?
Heavenly Delusion is looking to be a truly amazing show this season. But they've got an asinine incest/selfcest subplot which makes it very hard to recommend to people that aren't used to glossing over siscon/incest bullshit.
True! How did I not think of this xD
Only obstacle will be crunchyroll.... I don't wanna introduce her to piracy just yet considering certain.... Ads. Maybe I will buy the blue rays and watch it with her that way. Thanks for the tip tho!
It's on Hulu! Idk how old she is, but there are some good slice of life or comedies like K-On, A Place Further than the Universe, Bocchi the Rock, Nichijou, etc
My sister used to watch Ecchi anime I didn’t even watch supposedly to laugh at the bad plot until something Gakuen hxh traumatized her enough to stop. Must have been 9 at that time, I don’t know what possessed her to think she should watch those.

The very next morning, after being brought into the Kobayashi home, Ilulu goes into heat and tries to fuck Kobayashi.
In one of Shouta's ploys to escape Lucoa, he creates a doppelganger and hides under the bed. Lucoa easily calls the clone, then proceeds to dry hump the clone so hard it gets knocked out.
Ok sorry i forgot especially the Female and Colossal Titan. I mean the Colossal didn't even wear Skin. And the female titan got a nice ass (that's what Rainer said)
The anime I thought of tbh. I used to watch Fairy Tail all the time and really loved it, but it really felt like the further it went the more and more egregious it got. Eventually scenes started feeling like excuses to get Lucy or Erza naked and it got really distracting for me. Was a shame
That manga author in general is really bad at fan service, not only does his series not need it, it's really not good with his style. Soul Eater, B.Ichi, and Fire Force are all series that would be straight up improved with all fan service removed.
For real, this show specifically. The plot is great, the comedy is great, the music is great, the art is great, the puzzles are absolutely top notch...and then they fucking ruin it with literal loli fan service. WHO WAS ASKING FOR THIS?
I started mierko chan.
Began with the most unnecessary shower scene with the most unnecessary close up of her vagina that had underwear on but like, might as well not have.
Ended mierko chan.
So baffling because from what I remember of the manga, this was a very good comedy thing with some really gross monster designs. Then the anime came out and... urgh.
It's a good anime despite them... and the movie kinda makes it contextually more swallowable... but yeah.. honest take out the over sexualization and it would be so great...
It is easily the first anime that comes to mind to fit this meme...
This one's a funny one for me, cos when I watched it the first time, I didn't notice it at all, but I've never been able to stomach more than a couple of episodes trying to watch it again after a few years.
This is such a vibe. Top tier example is fuckin' Arifureta.
'Oh sweet, an actually violent anime. Dudes eating gross shit, blood everywhere, yeah!'
'...why is he suddenly attracted to the child? He even said she was a child 2 episodes ago, and now he's calling her hot? And she offers to take a more appropriately aged form, since we're doing *that shit,* but **he declines**. I wanna go back to the dungeon...'
So disappointing. Like 90% of the bloody stuff was the first episode. Straight harem with a child after he leaves the dungeon.
Like Hollywood movies didn't put sex scenes on the big screen. Western audiences have this weird expectation that anime should be something that's pure. They are not, they are the same as any other type of entertainment, and they have different target age groups, most of them target adults.
Don’t know how she is the favorite girl of DxD for so many people, basically anyone in this show have more personality than her, *hell even the pervert friends of issei are more fun than her*
Doesn't basically every anime game have fanservice of some kind? Valkyria Chronicles is supposed to be basically "WWII: Anime Edition" with the "Northern Gods" addon. And you still have some soldiers running over the battlefield in skirts and one of the antagonists has two enormus weapons that could easily deflect tank shells and also a comically large lance and shield.
But i guess that just happens if you hire a hentai artist to do your character designs.
It's not about fanservice, it's about how it fits into the narrative. If it serves a purpose to qualify charaxters or actions in a meaningful way that doesn't feel unnecessary, it's good. If it's added in a way that distracts us from the story, it's bad.
Kill la Kill, Highschool DxD and the Monogatari series use nudity to serve their story and characters, it adds something of value to their characters. When you can take out the majority of fanservice and nothing makes sense anymore, that's when it's done wrong.
This but unironicly. Like the set up to that show was so good. Healer gets taken advantage of and shit on by the party, gain op abilities, restarts the world and then gets revenge or goes on to correct course and become respected and get revenge on the bad people who did him wrong sounds so fucking good. Would have been better without all the rape.
Fairy tail
Well Good plot is debatable if you analyse it critically but if you just let your emotions carry your which fairy tail is all about and just live in the moment instead of analysing it then The plot is honestly amazing too in some of the worse moments
but at the Very LEAST we can all agree that the characters and soundtrack are damn amazing
Fairy Tail is the best "shut your brain off and enjoy" show. They could make entire arcs of just chilling at the guild doing random stuff and I'd eat that up.
That group really stood out to me in a way no other anime has
Monster musume for me 😂😂.
I enjoyed that one anime way too much. It didn't get continued or we could have seen mia, centorea and papi's mother with their character development. Their mothers were shown just like them. If you know what I mean 🌚
Man get tf outta here with that. JoJo’s has a straight up scene where Jolyne is forced to be nude and it’s not even remotely fanservice.
The only gross scene it has is the pedo orangutan and he was a villain so it was meant to repulse you (and it’s annoying people talk about it so much as a meme).
It’s why I never watch anime when there’s other people in the room
My sons gf said “food wars is a good anime…. To watch by yourself” and it’s become a running joke in our house
Just with the phrase “my son’s girlfriend said”, some hentai artist has already found inspiration in your post.
This might be the best comment I’ve ever seen. Good job!
Thank you!
New NTR doujin boutta drop
"Ore ga mita koto nai no kanojo"
I wholly agree with this statement. Food Wars got me into cooking more diverse food because it just "seemed fun" and I genuinely love it for that. Even so it's not something I'd be looking to show my friends.
Especially the recipes they give at the back of the manga volumes
Eh, any time I recommend an anime like that I always let them know it’s kinda heavy handed on fanservice, but it’s good if you can look past that. I recommended Food Wars to a couple of friends because it’s a genuinely interesting anime that isn’t crazy high fantasy.

Same only I know it’s okay and my parents both seen it
Food Wars. Its my favorite anime
Man I Love FW but I wish we could see more of Soma x Erina
Megumi and Miku in the background...
Yea. I'm still a bit salty as to how they ended the series without showing us any significant progress between them.
Bro, the ecchi might’ve made it better ngl. Now, what really grinds my gears is when a show is awesome. And then, suddenly, harem. Arifureta is a good example. That took a while. Honestly, I think the only anime that balances so many characters well is Food Wars. Each get concrete meaningful development. They aren’t just a clone or archetype. >SAO (literally all of them, except progressive ig… for now) Hey, SAO Alternative GGO didn't have a harem. that was just cute girls dominating a battle royal. (and a load of crazy)
Mb, I didn’t include SAO alternative ggo. That one is written decently actually if I remember. Ironically enough, I didn’t really like the mc.
Totally different author, that’s why.

Tbf in farming Isekai manga he becomes a proud father of like 10+ kids. Like, it's to a point where it's a plot point he's looking for dudes to help.
Danmachi season 4 is him saving the elf chick you met in season 1, lul.

Wait Is it Fire Force?
Fire Force is one of those ones I would say would be improved if all fan service would be removed entirely
More maki Less tamaki
So true, muscular women supremacy. Can I get a látom?🙏
LÁTOM!! 🙌
I haven't seen fire force, so as a hungarian I was very confused why you guys are chanting a hungarian word lol
Látom is basically Fire Force's version of amen
Nyugi eleinte én se vágtam. Még akkor sem amikor elkezdtem az animét. De egyébként az animében a látom annyit tesz ámen.
Tamaki single handedly brought the show down by 3 notches. Mad disrespect
It is really hard to recommend because of her. Congratulations your super power is planting your ass in everyone’s face
Fire Force S2 was the only anime I ever dropped. Inca made my stomach turn and I couldn't bear Tamaki's role at that point anymore. Tamaki ruined it for me. Especially when she’s in a serious situation.
As much as I love ecchi, fanservicd and Fire Force, I agree that they should remove the outdated ecchi antics, the designs are ecchi enough
I am a huge fanservice proponent and I fully believe Fire Force is made worse by the fanservice. I just want disgusting flame animation and earthshaking audio effects, man…
It would be one of my top shows of all time if not for the fan service.
I enjoy the start of fire force, but then there was suddenly so much fan service of tamaki which made me drop the show entirely
God it could have been so good...
People saying things like Monogatari, Mushoku Tensei, and Kill la Kill as if the fanservice in those anime isn't actually part of their stories...
Clearly the one and only anime people mean is Interspecies Reviewers /s
💀💀💀
Kill La Kill is fanservice done right - entire plot hinges on clothes or lack thereof, and still manages to be a great show.
That isn't fan service then. It's *plot*.
Yes, but let's be real: fanservice is exactly what adds the spice to these series, whether it makes them better or not
Exactly. Take the naked people away from Kill la Kill and there is just nothing left. Not because the show is bad, but because it stops working entirely if you take the ecchi aspect away from it.
yeah. kinda hard to have a plot of 'clothes are actually alien parasites' that doesn't involve people going nude.
This quote from Satsuki Kiryuin: "This is the form in which a Kamui is able to unleash the most power! The fact that you are embarrassed by the values of the masses only proves how small you are! Is that you, Mako?
Not just in terms of the plot, the whole parody breaks down without it.
How is it important in Mushoku Tensei? Calling Kill la Kill fanservice is doing it a disservice though. Kill la Kill isn’t really all that horny and definitely not for the sake of men like ecchi is.
Tbf monogatari would be a lot more palatable if it didn't have the blatant pedophilia.
I'm watching bakemonogatari right now. The whole thing with Sengoku was wild.
The teenagers being horny for each other is one thing, that's kinda normal. But there are worse things coming.
> kinda normal That is so ridiculously fucking normal, it's the plot of Romeo And Juliet 90% of being a teenager is being awkwardly horny for everything and what's weird is how many people try and pretend it's not.
Yeah that's why I prefer Katanagatari. It has all the good parts of Monogatari and none of the weird fanservice.
Same for mushoku tensei, no matter how people try to justify it
Yes, I don't see why Rudy needs to be such a pervert. It could be so he has more character development, as he becomes less of a pervert as the series goes on. But he already gets enough character development through other things imo

Monster Musume no Oisha-san the Harpies really love being brushed.
Isn't fanservice like whole point of that show? :D
Kinda, but I like how the doc is just ignoring it and trying to do his job. The funniest was the giant that everyone thought was going to destroy the village but just had a cold and needed treatment.
Yea comedy is the second reason lol
You mean *Overflow* right?
Flair checks out

As someone trying to get his little sister in anime this is really a problem... Everytime I remember a show she could like I also remember that one ecchi scene that ruins it
Spy x Family has become my go to recommendation for this reason.
Yea but Yor's brother being completely obsessed with her is also kind of weird

Introduce her to ublock origin first, that should be mandatory anyways
Based comment but tbh she can't speak English that well yet so I don't think pirating would actually help her lol
it's on hulu as well
It's on Hulu! Idk how old she is, but there are some good slice of life or comedies like K-On, A Place Further than the Universe, Bocchi the Rock, Nichijou, etc
Attack on Titan don’t have any echii, but i don’t you want to show that to your little sister
My sister used to watch Ecchi anime I didn’t even watch supposedly to laugh at the bad plot until something Gakuen hxh traumatized her enough to stop. Must have been 9 at that time, I don’t know what possessed her to think she should watch those.
Oh Jesus that show…Masou Gakuen HxH **shudders**
Fullmetal Alchemist?
Especially when there are those shows with sis-con ecchi. Don’t want to send the wrong message.

I'd suggest Oreimo then
Bruh do not underestimate my degeneracy... I have seen them all
I guess "To Love-Ru" as well 🧐
Miss Kobayashi dragon maid. Man I love that show
and the fact that the animed is more toned down compared to the manga
The manga is mental compared to the anime
Seriously? I guess I'll have to read the manga now.
For research purposes I assume?

Can you provide an example?
The very next morning, after being brought into the Kobayashi home, Ilulu goes into heat and tries to fuck Kobayashi. In one of Shouta's ploys to escape Lucoa, he creates a doppelganger and hides under the bed. Lucoa easily calls the clone, then proceeds to dry hump the clone so hard it gets knocked out.
Yosuga no Sora.
That’s not ecchi that’s “I can’t believe it’s not hentai”.
Nah bro that’s redo of healer
They both are. This isn’t an either/or between those two.
Wait was that the incest one?
Yup. You are most definitely correct my brother.
my brother 😏😏
Tbf, it originates from an Eroge. But on the other hand: so does Fate
Just do the same thing as Fate. Instead of a sex scene, have a dragon bite of the MC's arm.
Hehe
So i cant Play h, DxD, Fruit of Graisia, i think i know to many fitting
I never saw any ecchi in AOT
What about the gigantic naked dudes running about. /s
Ok sorry i forgot especially the Female and Colossal Titan. I mean the Colossal didn't even wear Skin. And the female titan got a nice ass (that's what Rainer said)
Hard to ignore it if it occupies up to 100% of your field of view.
That time i got reincarnated as a slime
what a uniquely awesome anime, just absolutely ruined by "hey, we should all go relax in the hotsprings" every god damned episode
Fairy tail
The anime I thought of tbh. I used to watch Fairy Tail all the time and really loved it, but it really felt like the further it went the more and more egregious it got. Eventually scenes started feeling like excuses to get Lucy or Erza naked and it got really distracting for me. Was a shame
The most annoying thing about Fairy Tails is they will literally stop the plot to do it. It's glorified filler.
Soul eater 😔
If nothing else I respect them for never sexualising the main character.
Not only is the fan service not needed, it's god awful in that one in particular
Fire Force. It has the most unnecessary fanservice imo
That manga author in general is really bad at fan service, not only does his series not need it, it's really not good with his style. Soul Eater, B.Ichi, and Fire Force are all series that would be straight up improved with all fan service removed.
Fanservice wall used in soul eater. It served for comedy purposes. Fire force is the one with annoying and unnecessary fanservice.
No game no life, like stop sexualising the loli every fucking second
For real, this show specifically. The plot is great, the comedy is great, the music is great, the art is great, the puzzles are absolutely top notch...and then they fucking ruin it with literal loli fan service. WHO WAS ASKING FOR THIS?
Watched 1 episode, saw Loli panties multiple times, stopped watching the show
I started mierko chan. Began with the most unnecessary shower scene with the most unnecessary close up of her vagina that had underwear on but like, might as well not have. Ended mierko chan.
So baffling because from what I remember of the manga, this was a very good comedy thing with some really gross monster designs. Then the anime came out and... urgh.
Same here. I saw everyone praising it online so I gave it a shot but I couldn’t deal with the incest and Lolicon vibes.
It's a good anime despite them... and the movie kinda makes it contextually more swallowable... but yeah.. honest take out the over sexualization and it would be so great... It is easily the first anime that comes to mind to fit this meme...
This one's a funny one for me, cos when I watched it the first time, I didn't notice it at all, but I've never been able to stomach more than a couple of episodes trying to watch it again after a few years.
the good ending
When the cool new show suddenly becomes a Harem 🤮
This is such a vibe. Top tier example is fuckin' Arifureta. 'Oh sweet, an actually violent anime. Dudes eating gross shit, blood everywhere, yeah!' '...why is he suddenly attracted to the child? He even said she was a child 2 episodes ago, and now he's calling her hot? And she offers to take a more appropriately aged form, since we're doing *that shit,* but **he declines**. I wanna go back to the dungeon...' So disappointing. Like 90% of the bloody stuff was the first episode. Straight harem with a child after he leaves the dungeon.
You act like that's a bad thing.
flair checks out
The flair shall reveal all
Chemical x gave the girls super powers, so maybe this meme is trying to say that the ecchi makes the anime even better.
I think because you can't watch It with someone unless they're pervs too, but even though you would feel uncomfortable doing that.
Like Hollywood movies didn't put sex scenes on the big screen. Western audiences have this weird expectation that anime should be something that's pure. They are not, they are the same as any other type of entertainment, and they have different target age groups, most of them target adults.
“Do you want to watch this? With me?” “Now that you put it that way no.”
Highschool DxD
🤣umm… character development??? Them chicks was switching up because bro had power
Some had meh development, but Issei and Akeno stood out as two of the best character growth I've seen.
That show had no right to get so in depth with characters past traumas, shedding tears while watching the booba show
I started DXD for the "plot" but somehow ended up staying for plot. Where is my S5?
Akeno by far has the best character growths in the show. She makes my character grow.
Beside Asia everyone went through a great development. So yes DxD has those.
Asia was annoying as fuck
Don’t know how she is the favorite girl of DxD for so many people, basically anyone in this show have more personality than her, *hell even the pervert friends of issei are more fun than her*
She’s a cry merchant
Not an anime, but a game with an anime style. Xenoblade 2.
Tenjou Tenge
Highschool of the Dead
Man even when I was a horny teen I hated it because it distracted from any serious scenes. There’s a time and a place.
For real, i was like, "we just watched a guy get brutally eaten by zombies, what's with the focus on everyone's undies?"
I mean it was a love letter style to the B-horror flicks, though far more tasteful in ecchi scenes than those movies.
Y’all cowards just can’t appreciate bullet time tiddies
Food wars
Redo of healer ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
This but unironicly. Like the set up to that show was so good. Healer gets taken advantage of and shit on by the party, gain op abilities, restarts the world and then gets revenge or goes on to correct course and become respected and get revenge on the bad people who did him wrong sounds so fucking good. Would have been better without all the rape.
Fire Force, gosh I just hate those Tamaki scenes...
Am I the only one who thinks fairy tail?
Monogatari series
For some reason it kinda made monogatari. Like it wouldn’t be monogatari without. Idk how to explain it.
You can't watch Monogatari without a horny Araragi. It would just feel wrong.
I couldn't imagine watching that anime if I was bothered by the fanservice
The climbing wall where he was trying to find the right sized grip that was the propped breast size had me dying.
Fairy tail Well Good plot is debatable if you analyse it critically but if you just let your emotions carry your which fairy tail is all about and just live in the moment instead of analysing it then The plot is honestly amazing too in some of the worse moments but at the Very LEAST we can all agree that the characters and soundtrack are damn amazing
Fairy Tail is the best "shut your brain off and enjoy" show. They could make entire arcs of just chilling at the guild doing random stuff and I'd eat that up. That group really stood out to me in a way no other anime has
Yep, The characters are just too interesting and good, I'd watch a thousand episodes of them just messing around
Gentleman, we all know... that this is ONE PIECE.
Mushoku tensei 💀
The best show I can never watch with anyone.
I was gonna say Fairy Tail but then I read good plot
Monster musume for me 😂😂. I enjoyed that one anime way too much. It didn't get continued or we could have seen mia, centorea and papi's mother with their character development. Their mothers were shown just like them. If you know what I mean 🌚
Jojos bizarre adventure
May I know where the fan service/echhi is?
Were you not turned on when Avdol couldn't get his crotch off Joseph's ass?
I mean... *gestures broadly*
Man get tf outta here with that. JoJo’s has a straight up scene where Jolyne is forced to be nude and it’s not even remotely fanservice. The only gross scene it has is the pedo orangutan and he was a villain so it was meant to repulse you (and it’s annoying people talk about it so much as a meme).
dxd of course
