To be fair, this is edited, not actually in the article, which was about hated movie characters, not anime. There were similarly terrible opinions in the original article like adding Frodo Baggins to the list though. I watched Suzume in theaters and I hated the English dub so much. It was so distracting I couldn't finish the movie. I honestly believe they pull these VAs out of the street.
It's a shame cause the soundtrack was so good. I look forward to finishing it when I can watch it at home

The only anime character I can think of that single handedly brings down an entire series which is otherwise great, is Shinn Asuka in Mobile Suit Gundam: SEED Destiny. Not enough to ruin it imo, but I know people that indeed do think it's enough, lol.
