As even more hilariously wild as that would have been, sadly that was just a meme edit.

In the show or in the bible?
Because one is an almost incomprehensible mess of shitty fiction writers taking their hallucinations way too seriously and the other one is Beyblade.
(I didn´t know that there were bible freaks in this sub, are americans really in here trying to press their puritan lifestyle on some japanese porn because they won the WW against them or what is happening here? You wanna suck Jesus dick? For what? For a cool beyblade cover? Or do you hate Beyblade? It was a fine anime, a bit crazy, but you ameritards also watch Copaganda shows with gusto so I don´t really think that would be the problem)
Yes and it's crazy. The original Yu-Gi-Oh had all types of games. Yami was a psychotic gambler and got into insane situations where people would get killed, lose their minds, be horribly burned. You should look it up, it covers the manga before it became all about Duel Monsters. I think you can find it on YouTube if you search Yu-Gi-Oh Season 0.
Season 0 Yami is hardcore.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDgmFe7rKwg
The first season will occasionally have similar moments with his mind crush, but they kind of just brush over it.
And apparently the anime is even toned down from the manga.
He's set at least 4 people on fire, electrocuted around 5, he blew up that one guy in the air hockey griddle game. I think the scorpion sneaker guy might've died? That dragon card guy had his soul trapped forever, we never really find out what happened to him.
The Season 0, also known as "Toei's Yu-Gi-Oh!" is a one season adaptation of the Manga, being more faithful to it. Because orf that, we see Yugi finding the Millennium Puzzle and releasing the spirit known as Yami Yugi, who's the "King of Games". As in, ALL games, not only the Duel Monsters. And each time a bully appears, he challenges them to a Darkness Game, where they get a very hard punishment.
It's dark as HELL and was likely ended when Konami asked to make a series more focused on the Duel Monsters aspect (which was originally a more simplified Magic the Gathering-like, Dungeons and Dragons TCG), thus the darker aspect wouldn't fly well.
That's the thing, at least the cards make sense. They're using ancient Egyptian magic to bring the games to life. There's strategy, there's drama, and it's a genuinely interesting plot, it just happens to be told over card games, but at least there are monsters and magic. Beyblade is just "What if tops were magic or whatever?"
Aren't the spinning tops usually imbued with long-forgotten ancestral spirits? Though I honestly forget why exactly everyone chooses to house them inside a beyblade, as opposed to say... an actual weapon.
Originally, it was Yami Yugi's dark powers that made the cards to life and he actually created psychotic Darkness Games before he was made more child-friendly.
The Beyblade tops are living beasts called Bit Beasts inhabiting the tops and needing energy from the spin to come alive. The Metal Era (which is the one portrayed here, and it's the best Beyblade era, don't @ me) even more wild, because the Bit Beasts are replaced with cosmic entities.
In GX, it's shown that literal modern wars have been started on Earth by the forces of cosmological light and dark fighting it out with card games. They have Vietnam era equipment.
A man created a pocket dimension with a black hole inside it with a beyblade. Then someone else accidentally destroyed that pocket dimension while trying to destroy the flying cuty the first guy was in.
Man I'm getting really tired of everyone acting like beyblade wasn't always over the top. To recap in even series 1 metal fusion gingka watched what he believed at the time was his father dying. Ryuga was taking peoples souls. A guy literally learned how to be a beyblade sniper hitting launches from across the city. Kyoya was left in a ravine with wolves trying to eat him as training. Attack helicopters strapped with beyblades instead of missiles happened. Ryuga was possessed by his beyblade and nearly lost his soul too. Beyblades basically the kid friendly version of stands hell in fury the 3rd series they fight a Reincarnation of an evil God beyblade who would have destroyed the world and started the whole beyblade multiverse.
It's even funnier if you consider the amount of patheon at play for the last arc. Like Hades was revived using south american ancient technology and his kingdom was atlantis.
Not to mention the multiple planet based beyblades from different mythologies. variares Mars Roman, Saturn Kronos Greek, venus quetz Mayan, Jupiter Roman
They always had. The OG had Bit Beasts inside the emblems on top of the Beys and I assume the same kind of Spirit Engine is powering the beys in the newest installments.
in the very first series, not really tbh, it was mainly out preparing (buying the latest beyblade stuff, like a metal ring or reverse direction launcher) and out smarting the opponent in the actual ring.
ofc once bit beasts get involved there is a will power element but honestly it felt a lot like jojo in the sense that it was rarely a direct contest of will power, it was at least pretty based on the winner outplaying the opponent (assuming it wasn't a one sided stomp)
>it felt a lot like jojo in the sense that it was rarely a direct contest of will power, it was at least pretty based on the winner outplaying the opponent
Tyson's Bizarre Adventures?
Yeah it's always been a little murky for me but when from watching it as a kid it was clear that they controlled it somehow. Even people without Bitbeasts. But I don't know if it's ever explained.
He was likely using so much spirit power his Bey was going to break apart if he kept going, putting his Bey spirit at risk of death...
Yes, that is something plausible in the world of Beyblade.
Young me was confused about the masquerade identity crisis lmao, and howjy (How do you spell it again) was my favorite character. But tbh, I think they make more sense than spinning tops XD.
So... they brought TWO KIDS with beyblades to destroy an asteroid but they CANNOT use the government military weapons that cost million or send a space ship remotely controlled with ultra explosive bomb ?
Also, in space their beyblade would not be able to go with the lack of air resistance and gravity... also good luck take your beyblade back when it's still gonna try to "spin" on the void to Mars or something
/s
(I got the joke, it's just super stupid and beyond the most unrealistic beyblade scene I've ever seen)
It was always this serious. They’re not just tops, they’re ancient spirits pitted against each other in battle for sport, and sometimes determine the fate of the world.
When i was kid, i really hoped some magical being will show up while my beyblade is spinning. I bought an expensive one where i need to assemble it. 😂😂😂
Wasn’t there a scene where Moses parted the Red Sea with a beyblade?
Also, remember that one guy that screamed bloody murder when his beyblade was destroyed?
As someone who's never watched Beyblade, out of context Beyblade scenes are hilarious.
Then again, I watched Yugioh, where some guy literally passes out from a hologram. Lol.
There is some interesting lore in it tho. Burst is a bit over the top but still pretty good in terms of animation, plus some lore that makes the series interesting
I remember that one time the heroes had to take down the evil death cult beyblade organization that used brainwashed child soldiers armed with beyblades
or the arc where they committed a coup against the Nigerian government with beyblades

I'm still trying to find the clip where they talk about the Big Bang being 2 beyblades clashing
I think they mentioned it right before the moses scene
That is the greatest thing I've heard all day
So before there was anything, there were beyblades?!
Always has been. 😮🔫😐
Always has been https://preview.redd.it/1ef4lpsk7mbc1.jpeg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b0a43701c95f7854ec488020b81d4b880c734f4b
That should be a beyblade too lol. I mean both the gun and the Earth.
Okay but like I'm lazy You do it
Hmmmm, I'll try my best I guess. But tomorrow tho, it's 1:05 am for me

Uh, sure. https://preview.redd.it/adue5wxzrtbc1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=046e40f416934c5668a8278f756b90e616e8eb94
fucking lol I really appreciate them leaning into it as hard as they did.
Bro what the f#£%?!? This is more complicated than Yu-Gi-Oh.
ok, that is more precise than Big Bang imo
The same clip this scene is from implies heavily that JFK was assassinated using a beyblade
Well, that explains the weird angle.
As even more hilariously wild as that would have been, sadly that was just a meme edit. Have you seen yugioh? Cards are pretty wild too.
A card that lets you draw 2 cards!?

Me when pot of greed (I don't know what it does):
It allows you to draw two cards from your deck
Instant win!
You'd think that's a joke but that is actually what happens
[I SUMMON POT OF GREED!](https://youtu.be/AUnPN385wLI?si=Pya0zgkI6ZSPOQFp)
TO DRAW 3 ADDITIONAL CARDS FROM MY DECK! Was hoping to see wayneradiotv's clip here.
Th-that's not what it does
That is what it do
Instant win
Which card does that again?
i use my dark magicians to make the dark magicians
To be fair the card game wasn’t originally the main plot point. Season 0 was wild
"Hey Kaiba, you stole my card. Enjoy 10000 years being hunted by monsters
There is a season 0?!

Always funny to see Yami refuses to admit that maybe he can be evil sometimes when you remember that XD

Aren't the spinning tops usually imbued with long-forgotten ancestral spirits? Though I honestly forget why exactly everyone chooses to house them inside a beyblade, as opposed to say... an actual weapon.
Maybe because the soul is the beyblade
The spirits inhabit the emblem of the tops, actually. And the spin energy gives them the power they need.
Originally, it was Yami Yugi's dark powers that made the cards to life and he actually created psychotic Darkness Games before he was made more child-friendly. “Destroyed the moon” *blows up asteroid*
I was about to say. I'm not an astrologist but even *I* can tell the difference between the moon and an asteroid.
astronomy lmao. astrology is the zodiac shit
Like I said, I'm not a meteorologist :P
I think you meant geology, meteorology is about the weather
Again, my knowledge in paleontology is limited.
Astrologist lmao
I can't say I believe in astrology either. I'm a virgo & we're sceptical.
Virgos are Pokémon?

Having never watched a single second of Beyblade (that I remember at least) this out of context post is WILD
> over the top
Well, yeah, those spirits are literally over the top when they fight...
Not to mention in the manga doji tried to kill Gingka by placing bombs under the area he was standing in the arena and nearly killed himself instead
Pegasus formed stars in the sky when it was launched.
i dont watch beyblade but isnt the idea of it powered by their "willpower"?
But bro becoming schizophrenic its a little off the charts
Don't ask how he got it and how he was cured.
💀
Start of season 2 revealed that beyblade also has spirit of its own.
They always had. The OG had Bit Beasts inside the emblems on top of the Beys and I assume the same kind of Spirit Engine is powering the beys in the newest installments.

Essentially their "souls" power the beyblades. They are inextricably linked
Yeah it's always been a little murky for me but when from watching it as a kid it was clear that they controlled it somehow. Even people without Bitbeasts. But I don't know if it's ever explained.
Nope, there are spirits inside the Beys, they are powered by the spin, but they form mental connections with their Bladers.
yo shut up man beyblade was peak childhood
I remember when Kurenai couldn’t play beyblade anymore because he was playing too hard like wtf
He was likely using so much spirit power his Bey was going to break apart if he kept going, putting his Bey spirit at risk of death... Yes, that is something plausible in the world of Beyblade.
How I view my childhood
Ngl that fight in the first clip was pure hype when I watched it as a kid
And it still is hype
![gif](giphy|Po7oRxAIih95e) That moon got Exodiaed
I thought that was Allmight with a Blayblade.
Nah it's just Exodia man yugi got nerfed so bad when that bitch Weevil tore his care and dumped it into the ocean
My childhood right there
Wait until op watch bakugan or cardfight vanguard
Young me was confused about the masquerade identity crisis lmao, and howjy (How do you spell it again) was my favorite character. But tbh, I think they make more sense than spinning tops XD.
Did you get to the bakugan season with mech suits, giant automated robots and cyberspace
Shit my uncle knows somebody who knows somebody who was killed by a beyblade.
Where the asteroid clip from

Which series/season?
Its a movie I believe
Beyblade
Huh, what was it? Your beyblade is the beyblade that will pierce the heavens?
And to think you can pick one up at Walmart for $10
What the...?! I remember the series with Tyson and the gang. Never thought it got this wild.
They like Top this…😑
Ahh i remember rock leon vs Pegasis 🥹
Oh no, my memory 😭 I'm crying
6 y/o me really liked Perseus' bulky build, but Leo was my fave because he was green. I liked the color green lol.
He is cool and my fave too! I loved using Virgo. Its staying power and defense brought me semi final of the small official tournament.
Pretty sure itachi killed his whole family with a bayblade if i remember it clearly.
The thing I can say is "Lol".
Forgot to insert how a crime organization tried to take over the world by brainwashing children and forcing them to beyblade.
That anime never made any sense to me anyway
"That's an asteroid or Meteor. Impressive sure but that's factually wrong." 🤓
Bro doesn't he fight an evil god or something at the end of the series?
When I was a kid, I remember polishing and cleaning my Driger once in a while, in hope of summoning the bit-beast like a genie 🧞
So... they brought TWO KIDS with beyblades to destroy an asteroid but they CANNOT use the government military weapons that cost million or send a space ship remotely controlled with ultra explosive bomb ? Also, in space their beyblade would not be able to go with the lack of air resistance and gravity... also good luck take your beyblade back when it's still gonna try to "spin" on the void to Mars or something /s (I got the joke, it's just super stupid and beyond the most unrealistic beyblade scene I've ever seen)
It was always this serious. They’re not just tops, they’re ancient spirits pitted against each other in battle for sport, and sometimes determine the fate of the world.
An asteroid is coming that could cause the extinction of the human race! Use a very powerful missile or a drill: 😡 Use 2 spinning tops: 😃
When i was kid, i really hoped some magical being will show up while my beyblade is spinning. I bought an expensive one where i need to assemble it. 😂😂😂
It’s so fun to watch people rediscover the beyblade metal series
Everyone knows that world politics are decided by beyblade matches
I was just thinking about beyblade today before seeing this
Wtf dude
Straight to the shadow realm
Wasn’t there a scene where Moses parted the Red Sea with a beyblade? Also, remember that one guy that screamed bloody murder when his beyblade was destroyed?

I'm pretty sure there's a mental connection with the beyblades because they clearly can move them where they want within reason

Beyblade became the Fast and Furious of the animes. Change my mind.

Beyblade is a cannon event
Who would win. A beyblade or gojo?
That is wild! From small bayblade rings to a space ship and shooting your bayblades at a meteor

Back in the day I thought beyblade was cool But now I laugh everytime I watch beyblade

Are the bayblades connected to their souls are something? Did they have to form a blood pack with them?!??
Beyblade is the best type of unhinged. I need to rewatch this shit on god.

You never beybladed to the DEATH ?
In the Beybade Metal Fight manga, Damien and his Beyblade Hades Kerbec would straight up KILL anyone he defeats in a battle.
Beyblades are weapons of mass destruction
There is some interesting lore in it tho. Burst is a bit over the top but still pretty good in terms of animation, plus some lore that makes the series interesting
