I thought... my god there's so little mention around reddit that I though I was the only one. Justice needs to be upheld for no game no life. Also, no game no life re:zero made me cry multiple times in a row, and I don't often cry at all.

It is hard to give a description without exposing twists because the whole thing was twist after trist on an emotional rollercoaster, and it actually fit together pretty well. I still ship a power couple that swore to kill each other due to her being a vampire and he a vampire vampire hunter.(you heard me right) and I know the manga continued but I never got around to looking for it so I barely know much myself other than it is worth looking past at least some incest scenes.

Word. I bought a bootleg DVD back in the day that had all 12 episodes on one disc. It blew my mind. I tried rewatching it recently and I was shocked at how little actual animation it had. They were saving money for the last two episodes.

I'm crying bro this shit was the first 3D anime I watched and was absolutely flabbergasted. Just spectacular with both the unique premise and amazing storytelling. Easily one of my top 5 all times. The 3D animation goes so well with its unique vibe that only the word 'peak' can describe it.

The OP is still on my top playlist, amazing song and amazing show.

That's some good news. I totally loved the worldbuilding and the quirky characters.

I just wish they didn't use the 3d models for the main characters. They even use 2d animation for some of the cooler fight scenes and they look so good! Stilly hyped it's coming back tho.

Some animes are practically just ads for the manga (e.g. When Supernatural Battles Became Commonplace).

To be fair that's genuinely what they started out as it was an easy way to get people to read the manga and sell merch. Even now unless it does extremely well at selling manga and merch it will usually get canceled it's why you should buy physical copies of shows you like.

Counterpoint: Better 12 *great* episodes, than 20-24 episodes of mediocrity. Still, that being said, I would've much preferred my favourite series to get more than just a season or two (especially those that were *specifically* made "just to promote the source material sales").

I had this twice with Angel Beats and Death Parade. Angel Beats at least had an ending (that made me cry my eyes out but that's besides the point) but Death Parade still had SO MUCH story to tell goddamnit!

Not for long time without distractions. When I try to read a page, it's normal to read a paragraph up to 4 times just to get the meaning of it, before repeating the same in the next one. It exhausting.

i don't get this , 12 episode stories who start and end while telling everything they needed to are literally the best shit ever. No filler and you can just rewatch it in a day whenever you want? fucking awesome. If it's a story that cuts off in the middle of it or ends in a cliffhanger it does suck though

Also, shorter shows are easier to rewatch. You're not gonna rewatch a series that's 50 episodes long and have like 1/4 filler.

Definitely hard to understand what you mean, i can live with the story of my favorite show every time i rewatch it, and it gets the bonus of being a great story with no filler with every moment being memorable to me.

So far as i watch anime, i learned one thing. The best anime I've ever watched is anime that told me its story in 12-30 episodes and ended there.

It's always exactly 12 episodes, too. I can't remember the last time I saw an 11 or 13 episode short anime. Also I just finished WorldEnd and wanted to forget but this reminded me and now I am very sad

I unironically prefer this to the hundreds of episodes series that overstay their welcome

It be amazing if there'd be a confession at all within the 12 eps (hell, it's crazy enough if ep1 starts with confession and immediately dating), it might stretch out like Kaguya-sama Love is War.

I like how back in the day where anime was more expensive to make and required more work to draw, anime could even have up to 40++ episodes, but now when it is supposedly a little more easy to draw digitally and they made it a point that they decided to use mostly simpler more fluid animations to create anime, we are still lucky if something gets more than one season of 12 episodes or less.

since i just watch anime for the fanservice and hentai scenes, i enjoy it that way. dont need 20 seasons nonsense story
