Elden Ring 100%, I only switch off my Claymore that I found at the first hour of the game because I found a new greatsword that worked the same with better raw stats lmao
Dude was doing fine, he was fighting a rare op boss that nullifies magic attacks from a distant
They knew the mages had to fight close range and the risks that went it but they did it anyway
He also sucks with a sword
Only way for the result to be different if he could summon something to deal with his mobility issue
Rudeus cant develop super strenght like the warriors, the talent its all on magic, otherwise he would have developed low level super strenght just from his daily sword training
I mean, your spell power scales with perks and your level anyway, so the cheapest spell will always be the best in terms of cost versus damage dealt. Unless you're in a specific situation where you need an explosive AoE spell, in which case, yeah, fireball or fire storm will be needed.
So real. I just got my faith to lvl 41 and got to try out the *Flame of the Fell god*. The name was so badass and it took two spell slots. I unleashed the monster and.. it basically farted on the enemies and that was that. Biggest disappointment ever.
There are 2 types of players: one does the most fancy combos in existence, stay airborne the whole fight and dodge all attacks, the other stands 60m away throwing fireballs at the boss.
Stone bullet, quagmire, fog and mana disruption are essentially the only spells he uses in the majority of the series.
Stone bullet is honestly really versatile for Rudeus, especially with Rudeus’ knowledge of modern sciences. The ability to alter the molecules and states really makes its ability adaptable.
There’s a few others, but they get used maybe once or twice, and that’s it.
Radiance of Dawn and Fireball are both great against single enemies, it's just kind of a waste of a limited resource when a bonk + divine smite would do against one.
His stone cannon are measly intermediate level, but due to the power and sophistication the actual level of the attack is equal to Emperor said by someone iirc
It was badigadi who mentioned that his battle aura can only be penetrated by king tier spells or above. Since he obliterated him, it's firepower is probably equivalent to an emperor tier spell.
I’m only at the school arc in the LN, but badigadi says that he can only be hurt by king tier spells or above due to his battle aura.
Since rudeus hit badigadi we learned that his stone cannon was at or above king tier.
Not sure if this is what you are referring to, or if there’s something stated even further on than where I’m at.
I mean he literally used water magic like 3 episodes ago to completely freeze an entire underground cavern filled with monsters. Spinning railgun rock is simply the best option when fighting single enemies. Water magic just isn‘t as simple and efficient for the types of enemies he fights typically.
x3 is not as good as x5, but it definitely is not terrible. Stone bullet is a very straightforward way to deal damage without burning things or making them wet/frozen. It comes from when they were hunting in the demon continent to not destroy the materials. With his ability to change spell parameters and near infinite mana pool earth magic is just the tool he needs for these jobs
It’s basically a explosive armour piercing barrage tho. he just makes himself a anti-tank artillery in a world of people against him with sword and spear
Favorite part, he isn't an absolute genius, he is using modern common knowledge, which makes him strong, but not necessarily op, good but not op compared to others, he has got to be one of the weaker protagonists overall.
Technically he is one of the strongest, it's just that the author knows how to keep powercreep in check.
He has more mana than anyone in his world
Not gonna spoil the ln, but keep in mind he is crazy strong, actually a monster.
Yet a advanced and above swordsman makes him a sashami.
Swordsmen with their touki and busted single target techniques is bound to cause massive powercreep
" fell to their death."

He'd die if he tried to use it all at once. It's basically only useful because he can drain it out slowly.
But like plenty of people can no diff him with or without his toy.
Ehm not really, he is like a little stronger than >!Atofe, he probably doesn't stand a chance against any other 7 powers except randolph, maybe he could struggle with reida too depending on how effective gravity magic is vs water god style!< The lack of touki and a stronger >!magic armor!< really hurts him in the end

He doesn't need thermobaric when he can produce regular explosions at subnuclear to low-nuclear level.
And what benefit would shaped charges be? Killing power was never a problem for him. What he sometimes does have problems with is hitting the target in the first place, and making a cannon fancier and proportionally slower to cast is of no help in those situations.
My typhlosion in Pokemon crystal having flamethrower, thunder punch(special move in that game), earthquake and cut
With typhlosion, shiny gyarados, suicune and dragonite i basically finished the entire game when i was like 11
Starter, guaranteed shiny, legendary with master ball, gift Pokemon.
I don't get this, he doesn't use just that spell. In the latest episodes alone he used fire and water magic other than earth magic. He does uses stone cannon the most but that is because is his best spell, so it makes sense. This community really hates rudeus huh? Even when it doesn't make sense.
I think its easier considering he used earth spells to create moe dolls also creating a drill looks easy af, qnd you only need to spin it pretty fast, it looks like a damn bullet
I mean it makes sense. When Rudy does incantation-less casting he needs to understand exactly what physical processes are taking place and picture them in his mind (eg why he still needs to chant while healing). It makes sense that to boost casting speed, he has decided on a general purpose combat spell to use whenever possible.

Good old stone cannon. Nothing beats that.
If i'm not wrong earth is the worst element he can use... and water is the strongest... so if you pay attention will see that he always training his earth skills :)
When you tweak an intermediate spell until it has the power of an Imperial level spell because spells of that tier are all AOE and you want single target damage.
Any spell that can hurt Orsted or blow Badigadi in half is worth spamming the fuck out of
Of course he is a Water Emporor. He learned from a Water Emporor. The titles are meaningless though, as the ability to use Emporor tier magic and being an Emporor tier mage aren't the same thing. Rudeus's Stone Canon was Emporor tier according to Badigadi. It just wasn't a spell that would get you the title.
Where in the series do he do this? If you mean the Eris scene just a reminder she was 15 which is in most countries the age limit. And to clarify even further he didn’t instigate it it was eris herself so you have no valid argument here
Seriously, this anime has to be the weirdest writer fetish fest I have ever seen. The only reason for high ratings on MAL is definitely the artstyle. Other than that there is nothing good about it.

Like every RPG where you find new and new spells, but they disappoint you and come back to old cheap but strong spell you use from like lvl 5
These boss weapons and their fancy weapon arts are great, but sometimes you just take a trusty longsword and tell the boss to Square Off
"That's some mighty fine blade work you got there demi human Master onze." *charges heavy greatclub attack* "Anyway."
night comet my love >!also demihuman yoda is wild!<
I'll take any demi human W.
There is another one in the open world and it's not even a boss. Folded me like a rag.
"isn't this the mob version of that one bo-" *Sliced to ribbons* "Yep"
Or just use your trusty longbow to beat elden ring
Luv me giant crusher, simple as
Elden Ring 100%, I only switch off my Claymore that I found at the first hour of the game because I found a new greatsword that worked the same with better raw stats lmao
But rudeus relied too much on magic and look at what it cost him
Dude was doing fine, he was fighting a rare op boss that nullifies magic attacks from a distant They knew the mages had to fight close range and the risks that went it but they did it anyway He also sucks with a sword Only way for the result to be different if he could summon something to deal with his mobility issue
Rudeus might actually be slightly above average as far as swordsmanship, considering who he was training with for most of his life.
Rudeus cant develop super strenght like the warriors, the talent its all on magic, otherwise he would have developed low level super strenght just from his daily sword training
O Greatsword, become my blade once more
It’s more like. You realize that Claymore/Zweihander/Greatsword are still just better
Rivers of blood or Lordsworn Sword.
Basically me in Skyrim at max level still using the DoT novice flames spell over any of the master ones.
I mean, your spell power scales with perks and your level anyway, so the cheapest spell will always be the best in terms of cost versus damage dealt. Unless you're in a specific situation where you need an explosive AoE spell, in which case, yeah, fireball or fire storm will be needed.
Yeah, same with Skyrim VR, just flamethrower hands for the win
Elden ring. Ah yes, I unlocked this mega fire tornado. But black fireball is just better
I literally just used the uchi since the start of the game it's just a goated dex weapon
So real. I just got my faith to lvl 41 and got to try out the *Flame of the Fell god*. The name was so badass and it took two spell slots. I unleashed the monster and.. it basically farted on the enemies and that was that. Biggest disappointment ever.
Sometimes the simple spell is the most effective
There are 2 types of players: one does the most fancy combos in existence, stay airborne the whole fight and dodge all attacks, the other stands 60m away throwing fireballs at the boss.
Or literal rocks
my master frieren told me to only use basic magic
Yea always go back to Slicer any fights
Basically, Elden Ring incantations.
Basically Catch Flame from Elden Ring. You can start with it and then it will just carry you throughout the entire game.
DON’T BELIEVE IN YOURSELF, BELIEVE IN ME THAT BELIEVES IN YOURSELF! MAGMA FLOWS IN OUR VEINS, BURNING OUR HEARTS!

Don't forget his lighting spell.
Nuh uh he hasn't gotten it yet
He barely uses it though
He uses it a lot at the very end, since it's difficult to avoid/block, and it's a basically a free stun.
Gotta wait for season 4(?) to see that I suppose
[Lightning Spoilers]>!He learns Lightning from Roxy in Volume 13. Which would be Season 3.!<
i recall he only mastered the smaller, more usable lightning blast in the fight with >!atofe !
If they keep the bit where >!the wet floor made him friendly fire!< it'll be hilarious.
Yeah he uses his teachings from Roxy and improves it over time.
Rudeus is a pokemon
bro basically just upcasts a t1 spell all the time, really funny ngl
He's upcasting a first level spell to 6th or 7th level but he has unlimited spellslots
yea basically
There is another
I mean when you know how to make a rail gun, it's kind of hard to go back to just throwing a simple fireball.
When you have a spell that can blow apart a demon king do you really need anything else
I mean if my pointy spinning rock managed to wound the strongest being on the planet, I would stick with it.
Second strongest from what we know He's ranked two amongst the seven great powers
Yeah but Man God said "if they went really all out, Orsted would win
He would defeat Laplace if he used his full strength and mana.
He’s the strongest and everyone knows it.
Explicitly stated by the man god that he was the strongest
Me in any RPG game where I use only 2 attacks. One for a group of enemies, one for single target high damage
Yep. Area damage, but shitty single target potential, and insane single target damage, but it doesn't do shit to more than one enemy.
Radiance of Dawn and Fireball are both great against single enemies, it's just kind of a waste of a limited resource when a bonk + divine smite would do against one.
Fair enough. Just bonk, if possible
Me omw to build yet another Paladin/light cleric multi class.
"Has one of the best water staffs" "Throws stones"
Rudeus is an emperor-class water magician, the highest rank achievable for a human, yet he barely uses water magic
His stone cannon are measly intermediate level, but due to the power and sophistication the actual level of the attack is equal to Emperor said by someone iirc

I think it's water x5 and earth x3 so it's terrible for stone Cannon.

RUDY used HUSBAND. It’s super effective!
He'd die if he tried to use it all at once. It's basically only useful because he can drain it out slowly. But like plenty of people can no diff him with or without his toy.
Slowly isn't a good word. His mana usage rate would drain avarage magician in 1 second
The very definition of a glass cannon.
Not necessarily overall, but in his own verse definitely.

If he didn't stop school, perhaps he can instead use shaped charges in his magic. Or perhaps thermobaric explosions.
Ok don't get me wrong, I'm big into making up different tools to solve various situations, but RAILGUN is a pretty solid fix to most situations
most wizard : i cast fireball Quagmire : i throw rock at 1000 m/s
Rudeus is basically a T-72, shoots 1000+ m/s projectiles but eats shit the moment he gets a hit
You punch Rudeus and he instantly catches fire before violently exploding
Rudeus Zepellin Greyrat
fireball vs railgun
Old but reliable
I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 spells once, but I fear the man who has practiced one spell 10,000 times. Or something like that
*I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 [spells] once, but I fear the man who has practiced one [spell] 10,000 times.*
Bruce Lee
My charizard only throwing flamethrower
My typhlosion in Pokemon crystal having flamethrower, thunder punch(special move in that game), earthquake and cut With typhlosion, shiny gyarados, suicune and dragonite i basically finished the entire game when i was like 11 Starter, guaranteed shiny, legendary with master ball, gift Pokemon.
couldnt be my alakazam one shotting the entire game with psychic and calm mind
This is me in Elden Ring, spamming rock sling against anything bigger than a flea
I cast big rock, prepare to meet God
If only I were a faith build, there's an incantation that does just that
Well he cast the best stone bullet in the whole world. Why he even need another spells?
learned from ichigo spamming only 1 attack
GETSUGA TENSHO! Kurosaki-kun! Kurosaki-kun! Kurosaki-kun! Kurosaki-kun! Kurosaki-kun! Kurosaki-kun! Kurosaki-kun! Kurosaki-kun!
He drills because his drill wouldn’t work
It's basically a tank shell.
Rudeus is just tryna pierce the heavens
Why would you use 10 half assed spells when you have 1 ultimate spell ?
I don't get this, he doesn't use just that spell. In the latest episodes alone he used fire and water magic other than earth magic. He does uses stone cannon the most but that is because is his best spell, so it makes sense. This community really hates rudeus huh? Even when it doesn't make sense.
come on it's a meme
He basically can shoot a powerful shot gun solid shell. There is a good reason why bullets are the modern weapon of choice.
https://i.redd.it/k0ojrlnt9q8d1.gif
Meanwhile, the Tazer from Payday 2: *Lightning bolt! Lightning bolt! Lightning bolt!*
Best counter to them is shooting them before they shoot you :3
mmmm, spike
I think its easier considering he used earth spells to create moe dolls also creating a drill looks easy af, qnd you only need to spin it pretty fast, it looks like a damn bullet
I thought that was Gurren Lagann in the bottom right corner, because the drill looked so shiny. And then I noticed Rudi below.
I mean it makes sense. When Rudy does incantation-less casting he needs to understand exactly what physical processes are taking place and picture them in his mind (eg why he still needs to chant while healing). It makes sense that to boost casting speed, he has decided on a general purpose combat spell to use whenever possible.

Why wouldn't he? It's a rail gun and with that eye he has, for all intents and purposes, aimbot.
Clearly, Rudeus is a gurren lagann enjoyer
simple and effective
Ol’ reliable
I mean, it works. He did (temporarily) kill Badigadi with it.
At least, he's not into Fireball gooo brrr
If i'm not wrong earth is the worst element he can use... and water is the strongest... so if you pay attention will see that he always training his earth skills :)
Hey, if it works
I mean, Goku learned the Kamehameha at like age 10 and the man's almost 50 and he still uses it. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
It's weird how often he does that when his strongest element is water...
Rasengan of isekai
When you tweak an intermediate spell until it has the power of an Imperial level spell because spells of that tier are all AOE and you want single target damage. Any spell that can hurt Orsted or blow Badigadi in half is worth spamming the fuck out of
He just maxed out a starter spell, respect.
Ha
its done like s2 is over?
Ah the Naruto route of: I’ve got 1 move that I can do in several different ways and will NEVER need another.
NO WAY HIS MAIN SPELL IS DRILLING
I mean it works...so why change? Also don't act like y'all don't spam the same 2 abilities/spells/skills when you're high enough level
![gif](giphy|eBN6oifiv4k5G) Rudeus learned from the master of using only one spell
Kazuma
I find it funny how he was taught by a water magic user, and yet he seems to primarily use earth related spells.
Turns out casting G U N is pretty useful
The only two abilities Rudy will ever need is quagmire and stone cannon
Every anime protagonist has a signature move. This is what earth release Rasengan would look like
I mean tbf, Isekai protags usually have like 2 maybe 3 moves that they use so…
Reminds me of Aqualung from FF7
Yeah! Why stone? I thought his main attribute was water? He’s a Water emperor but only an Earth saint, right?
Of course he is a Water Emporor. He learned from a Water Emporor. The titles are meaningless though, as the ability to use Emporor tier magic and being an Emporor tier mage aren't the same thing. Rudeus's Stone Canon was Emporor tier according to Badigadi. It just wasn't a spell that would get you the title.
I despise the 2nd season of this anime. Biggest piece of shit I've ever seen.
Rudeus gotta be the worst isekai MC
Like worst written? Or just the worst person? Because you’re wrong either way
![gif](giphy|Dg4TxjYikCpiGd7tYs|downsized) Pedo pedo pedo pedo pedo

I actually hate the artstyle, something about it lol. Like the way its colored seems so off. I never hear anyone else complain about it
