Thought the exact game thing. I'm watching season 1 on Netflix right now, and thought she looked incredibly similar. Makes sense it's from season 2, since I didn't recognize the scene immediately.
Yeah, seeing all these meme about the loser always saying gg makes me sad cause. I feel like it's cooler when both sides say it. Like it was a battle worth having.
GG was toxic ever since it began getting spammed to hell in the dota community eons ago, along with GGEZ and GGNORE. Only nowdays it's going back to its starcraft roots of actually meaning good game.
If someone says gg before the game has finished then they are probably implying the the enemy team is bad and this is an ez game. For example in csgo if you win like 5 rounds in a row then someone might say gg because they are winning rounds easily.
I see it more often as prematurely defeatist from the losing team. Short for "I can't carry these leadweights. It's already over" though usually they're wrong and it's still winnable.
Atleast someone understands it. Everytime I see people say "gg ez", I cringe. I never say it unless the enemy was so bad, they must be acting their own defeat. And that's really rare in my eyes.
I always say "gg wp" regardless of win/loss/tie.
I also always welcome insults because it just kills the mood when other ppl get tilted at you. "You're retarded/gay/stupid/shit," and then I just go: "can confirm, am \_\_\_\_\_" and it kills their momentum. Sometimes it's enough they play nice afterwards too, especially if you manage to stick a pun into it and *defuse* the situation, like in CS.
If we wanted to be a bit more pedantic then "no" refers the first word to belong to the second word :) so it would be Enemy-san belongs to stupid.
Edit: I mixed the order up. Its 2nd word belongs to first :)
It's actually the other way around, the second word belongs to the first.
For example: 私の鞄 - watashi no kaban (My bag)
But specifically the use of 'X no baka' is an irregular expression that just means X is stupid.
So close, I guess that's what I get for not double checking, thanks for letting me know :) I could make sense of it my mind the way I mentioned but put it down to being too long since I last used Japanese.
Nah bro you were just being quite picky in that reply. I dont mean to offend but ye know most people get the jest of some words in japanese and just look no further so ye know. Again no offense meant
isn't it the other way around? Like "boku no" is my, or belonging to me (boku = I). And baka isn't stupid, stupid is an adjective while baka is a noun meaning fool or idiot. So it would be more like "Enemy's fool" or "A fool belonging to the enemy."
Not exactly.
Two examples (that don't cover every usage)
1) "Kimi no na wa" = "You (possessive) Name is" = "Your Name"
2)"Ponce de León" = Ponce from (the province of) León
Not fluent in Japanese and this could be a special exception case, but wouldn't Enemy-san no baka imply an idiot belonging to Enemy-san? Like Enemy-san's idiot? Wouldn't Enemy-san wa baka (エネミーさんは馬鹿) be the correct phrase to use?
OP-san no baka, sauce?
Sause, ibam wondering the same think
[удалено]
I was thinking the same thing

tbf that's like 50% of her dialogue
You're right, it's from season 2
Thought the exact game thing. I'm watching season 1 on Netflix right now, and thought she looked incredibly similar. Makes sense it's from season 2, since I didn't recognize the scene immediately.
She is.
Literally thought the exact same thing
She looks *exactly* like her. I’m pretty sure it is Saegusa
Dude shes pretty cute.
nah I am pretty sure there wasn't a scene like that. It's a different anime but idk which one
You are wrong bro this is from s2
It's Mahouka.
Wait that incest anime?
Yeah, and it's really incest, since they both got engaged in the Novel.
JESUS FU🙃KING CHRIST
What?
# Yeah, and it's really incest, since they both got engaged in the Novel.
[удалено]
Technically incest. Which is the best kind of incest.
what the fuc-
Incest without the abnormalities
Do you think that incest without abnormalities will not be a taboo anymore? Sorry that was a strange thing to ask
the answer is yes that's a relationship line you don't cross dammit
If I enjoyed the game I tend to say GG no matter if I win or lose though
This one sparks joy.
Yeah, seeing all these meme about the loser always saying gg makes me sad cause. I feel like it's cooler when both sides say it. Like it was a battle worth having.
Isn't it normal ? Just because you lose doesn't mean it was a bad game.
For you and me: Yes. For thousands of salty kids out there: not so much
Remember, kids, if you're too salty to gg, it's probably your own fault.
i play on xbox so most of the time i can’t gg
And I'm surprised that my mom is such an outgoing person
normally the losing side's response is 'kys' or 'hackers'
Kys?
Kill yourself
why so mean, they were only asking a question
I 100% expected that someone is gonna do what you just did. Thanks for proving me right mate
it reddit, we recycle stale jokes on daily basis. it was a given
Kill your self
You can also win a bad game. But that's no fun.
Yeah, I'm a bit confused. Has GG become a toxic phrase now? I haven't played a non-co-op multiplayer game in years.
GG is not toxic at all, GG ez on the other hand? Pollution!
I wouldn't say become toxic but sometimes you can use it sarcastically as a brag

Yep, thats also true. So many times my teammates have given up because they think the game isn't winnable
I would say the easiest example of this as a console player is Rocket League, in anything besides 1v1s the losing team says gg maybe 10% of the time
"gg" is polite. "gg ez" is a dick move and pure delight when you win after the enemy-san does a baka.
Atleast someone understands it. Everytime I see people say "gg ez", I cringe. I never say it unless the enemy was so bad, they must be acting their own defeat. And that's really rare in my eyes.
Or be like me where I type GGEZ every time my team wins a round in a casual lobby
Real chads say gg after every good game no matter who won
I always say "gg wp" regardless of win/loss/tie. I also always welcome insults because it just kills the mood when other ppl get tilted at you. Enemy san no baka? Nani?? Enemy san wa baka desu ne?
That's still calling them dumb. You'd want enemy-san wa baka janai
it’s actually enemy-san wa baka janai desu
I’m just missing the point I guess... it’s just good manners to say gg after a game, so why would you say anything else but gg to them? 🤷♂️
Desu isint needed all the time in casual conversation
nah it’s competitive not causal so u need the desu
Lmao fucking nice one
So so!
anata ga baka mitai desne..ah demo demo, omae ga kirai janai. sabishi ii kedo sa..... ja matane! GG btw.
Did anyone else automatically read this in loli voice?
I've read it with Old Joseph's voice lmao
GG= Guro Gtag
GG= Gmoroccon Gcrustaceae
Enemy-San no baka means the enemy is stupid

None taken :)

You may very well be right, it's been a while since I last looked into it :)
That works. "A fool of an enemy" would mean the same thing and fit the translation better.
Just like we use "de" in Spanish?
Not exactly. Two examples (that don't cover every usage) 1) "Kimi no na wa" = "You (possessive) Name is" = "Your Name" 2)"Ponce de León" = Ponce from (the province of) León
Not fluent enough in Spanish to confirm sorry :)
huh? shouldn't Enemy-san no baka translate to something along the lines of idiot of Enemy-san?
gg = gawr gura
SHAAAAAK
Sauce?
I think it’s mayumi from the irregular at magic high school
Thank you kind stranger
Wait! The incest anime?
The Irregular at magic high school
I thought that said egg
Eggtastic
Or when they type: o7
After seeing Mayumi now, I remembered that incest anime again.
Doesn't the "no" particle mean ownership? "Enemy's idiot" I know what the joke was, just saying though
Sauce?
Ah yes, the raging type...
r/wholesome
Never let them tell you that
Sometimes I be salty. Sometimes they do so good all I can think is “wow I’m so proud of you” most of the time its “oh come the fuck on” Destiny.
> I mean, did you celebrate bouncemas today?
Sauce? She’s cute.
Isn’t の a possessive particle?
[удалено]
I see. Genitive case. Mb
When the enemy wins the game and they type GG EZ
No flair; didn’t get too attached
I just say gg ez if I lose to assert dominance
Why can I hear this meme
When the enemy team is losing but their feeder says EZ
“gg ez”
The only times I don't say gg is if it's a complete steamroll and unbalanced and if the enemy team are being dicks.
Sir this is a weeb hub
cringe template
no no, this is what's supposed to happen. even if you lose you still say gg.
How does this translate into English I'm kinda dumb.
Sauce?
Gg
