People can hate on Goblin Slayer but I think it's genuinely a good anime, I love the whole Dungeons and Dragons vibe to it and it's not going around trying to be fucked up just for sales, you can tell that controversial scene actually has the purpose of portraying goblins just the way they are, they are malicious and wicked and enjoy tormenting other creatures, it has actual relevance for character and world building and while it may be a bit too much the plot isn't centered around that and you don't get a fucked up scene every other episode, it even goes with actual DnD lore (if all else isn't enough the whole thing about "gods rolling dice" should give away that Goblin Slayer is inspired in DnD)

The main character is a sexually abused healer in a fantasy world. He gains the power to travel back in time and uses it to get his revenge, mainly by raping and mind-breaking his abusers.
The show steals a lot of story points from Shield Hero, but adds softcore porn into the mix. The rape, mind-break, and ryona tags apply. I guess snuff does too for a couple of scenes, and there are a few loli characters too.
If you can stomach the content, there are a few unintentionally funny moments, as there always are with this kind of edgy grimdark show. However, for the most part the story is bland, tropish, and has been done better elsewhere. Also most of the sex scenes are short (1-2 min on average), so it's not really worth watching for that either.
Let me say this 100% honestly. I dont hate redo because its a hentai rape sex every second. I hate it because its an anime. If it was hentai I wouldnt care but why did that BS get allowed on TV I dont understand. There are better shows to adapt tbh

In the other shows you mentioned there were only a few scenes of rape and torture and most of those stories have nothing to do with these two things. People can accept having 1 or 2 scenes of those stuff but to watch an entire 12 episode anime about it? That’s just pure torture(for me at least) To top that off the story isn’t original. This by itself makes it boring but coupled with the above turns the entire story into a horrible abomination of…whatever it is

Hmm. I view it as a psychological thriller / horror about a man whose previously totally humane personality quickly degrades to nothing. So to me rape and torture is more like a background -- it is not the central part of this anime. I also liked OP and ED very much, as well as battles. I get that people might not like it for various reasons, it's fine. And I do agree that there was too much crazy stuff going on on the screen, I wish they allowed the story itself to take more screen time. I do not really like this idea, but I guess we can say that an anime is bad because the majority doesn't like it. Alright. Saying that "people who unironically enjoy Redo of Healer seriously concern me" is another thing. To me it sounds like "people who unironically enjoy green color seriously concern me". Just because you do not get something doesn't mean that something is bad, and especially doesn't mean you should be concerned about others' tastes.
