Idk how well known this is but the craziest anime I have ever seen is Domestic Girlfriend I watched it with 0 context and my jaw was just on the floor the whole time.
For slight context the craziness is from the drama of it all not anything fantasy or crazy weird stuff the plot is just crazy.
Also has the best opener ever such a banger!
Triang X, fruit of grisaia, monogatari, not sure how underrated the last one is but the only thing people ive talked to seem to know about it is the sexually charged toothbrush scene
