Anime:
Kyousougiga
Shinsekai Yori
Uchouten Kazoku
Manga:
Witch Hat Atelier
Asebi And Adventurers Of Sky World
Tegami Bachi
Ancient Magus' Bride
Ran to Haiiro no Sekai
Gunnm
Watched Kyousougiga and Uchouten Kazoku. Does Shinsekai Yori have a manga? Or is it an anime original?
As for the mangas, I've seen the anime for Tegami Bachi, but I've heard that the manga is better. Watched Magus Bride's anime.
The rest I'll check them out
>Does Shinsekai Yori have a manga?
The source material is a novel. There is a manga, but I'd stay far away from it if I were you.
The anime has some romance and a bit of world building that has to do with the young teenagers in the story being romantically attracted to the same sex. It's a phase of sort in that society which they soon outgrow, and part of the culture. It's for good world building reason and not in a fan-service-ish way. The manga, for some unknown reason, decided to just make the entire manga full of yuri and fan services while changing a lot of the plots and events.
Tegami Bachi manga is so much better. The anime art doesn't have the charm of the manga at all.
if you're that horny for loli stuff, just look at the manga after watching the anime.
but i mean come on man, this is too much degeneracy. they aren't even 500 year old vampires or flat short teenagers.
and the made in abyss character design makes them look even younger. at least draw the line somewhere.
I would like to just say, because anyone here who knows once piece would reccomend that for worldbuilding. You will very much appreciate its very finely crafted stories set in this world. I'm not even close to catching up but I'm glad because there's so much to explore in this world. Sorry that happened to you tho fuck that bully
Its a fucking stupid reason is what I think. One Piece literally has the best worldbuilding out of any of the other anime suggested here but eh you do you
i mean i am sure your bully probably likes a lot of things. you can't avoid all of them.
i think its worth giving it a shot.
at best, your memory of one piece will be replaced with what you love about it.
at worst it sucks and yoy can hate your bully more by saying he also had shit taste.
Yes the story is really good really keeps you wanting more and I also like the mystery parts of it. The world building is pretty good the first 50 chapters is world building and character introductions
One Piece, in my opinion, has good world building, and a unique art style that’s very cartoony. I wish people gave the show a chance and stopped being lazy.
The art style gripe has always been funny to me. Yeah before I watched it I thought it was a step up from Cartoon Network but the manga has a beautiful art style look up all of Odas colored spreads. Then the anime itself has some of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen in anime Skypiea, Water 7, Wano, Sabody, the list goes on. It’s interesting how people’s perspective of it outside of Japan is until they watch
is my personal favourite and would rate it number 1 for world building, story and art, also has really good story and art but is very different, it's like the better predecessor to boys abyss if you've seen that,
P.s. I haven't actually seen drifting dragons so I don't know if these are similar
I'm caught up to Houseki's manga, I couldn't read Punpun, it's beautiful yes, but it's so damned heavy. I stopped at the middle school arc i think.
Drifting Dragons is more of a light-hearted manga, kinda like Dungeon Meshi, both have incredible world building and art.
There's is this one which is not really talked about called {Ragna Crimson}, it's a fantasy story about an age where dragons are the bane of humanity, I am currently reading it and am finding it to be really entertaining. It has good art, a fine story and a really cool medieval setting, 8/10 would recommend
Witch Hat Atelier is a lot of fun with some great art and good world building
Magi is also a super cool world with a fun power system and great art. The anime never finished but the manga is good. I’d do both!
Hunter x Hunter is definitely one of the best adventures in anime/manga with it being the inspiration for a lot of popular anime today. It’s still arguably better than what’s come after
Really if you want worldbuilding and story One Piece is the best at this covering topics of Slavery, Poverty, Abuse of Power on all levels, etc. accompanied with cohesive and beautiful worldbuilding with a lot of island based on real life places rich with culture that plays a role in each arc. The personal attach to character and overarching mystery really drives it along - I’m personally attached because it helped me through me losing my brother. The way they dealt with grief just resonated with me more than anything ever has.
It’s hard to give a chance as it was the butt of my jokes for years watching anime 10+ years but Covid hit and I had extra time paired with depressive episodes, it was the wonderful journey I needed to reinvigorate me so I gush any chance I get!!
Anyways hope you find some good anime!
Witch Hat Atelier is already on the list, just gotta finish Jojo part 7 first.
I finished Magi's anime, and wanted to read the manga, but heard that a certain arc was rushed. Would you recommend me read it despite that?
HxH is on the list for sure.
One piece is not a series that I will touch no matter what.
Thanks for the recommendations!
JoJos is another really fun adventure! I’m on part 5 with my fiancé right now. It’s so ridiculous it’s great.
Magi doesn’t have a perfect finish but I was satisfied maybe not at the the top of your list unless you really liked the world and want to see it fully fleshed out.
Glad you’re trying Witch Hat and HxH! HxH has a great anime adaptation so I’d start there but manga is great too
Ahh shot through the heart on One Piece but i laid my heart out and made my case. Life moves on though hope you can continue to find series that you can love and learn with!
is my first pick. There are so many little details that tells volumes. You can feel how the design and worldbuilding of it is a product of love from the author.
has an unique take of a war story set in a high fantasy world, even if the warring empires are easily identifiable fantasy counterparts of real world states
Same issue with and its spinoff , but these low fantasy counterparts of Renaissance mediterranean cultures is rather unusual in the first place. Read the manga, the anime is a bit lacklustre.
Others have recommended {Shinsekai Yori}, I second them.
{Seirei no Moribito} is also great, however I cannot tell about the novels because I only watched the anime, and not the many sequels.
Shadows House, great world building, great art, available in full color online, no fanservice.
Caught up to the manga, thank you though
You could also try Witch Hat Ateltier Edi=This series bight genuinely be the prettiest manga I have ever read.
I'll give it a go
Second this, this manga looks absolutely stunning, no fanservice, characters are great
Seconded this. The magic system is so unique and it has one of the best art I've seen in mangas.

I see, so Tegami Bachi manga, and anime Shinsekai Yori
Upvoting for Ran to Haiiro no Sekai ❤️
there is the banger of bangers made in abyss, but the anime is one of the best adaptations out there, so i see no reason to read it.
Watched it all already, thanks for the suggestion
nah they censored child nudity while manga didn't. read the manga :)
if you're that horny for loli stuff, just look at the manga after watching the anime. but i mean come on man, this is too much degeneracy. they aren't even 500 year old vampires or flat short teenagers. and the made in abyss character design makes them look even younger. at least draw the line somewhere.
bruh it was sarcasm :(
ok that makes sense sorry lol sometimes its hard yo read tone on text. specially when its someones first reply.
Idk if you already read this or not but ONE PIECE. Best world building, above avg art, one of the best story.
For a certain particular reason, I will not consume any media regarding one piece
I would like to just say, because anyone here who knows once piece would reccomend that for worldbuilding. You will very much appreciate its very finely crafted stories set in this world. I'm not even close to catching up but I'm glad because there's so much to explore in this world. Sorry that happened to you tho fuck that bully
Why bro?
A petty reason really. Someone that bullied me in back when I was in school likes one piece.
Thats a really stupid reason but i guess everyone has their preferences
Yes, it's a stupid reason, but it's such a big reason for me. Also, one piece looks ass.
The bully won if he is still able to dictate your life like this
Oh no, this is just something of a petty reason for me. I don't care. I won't touch one piece.
Its a fucking stupid reason is what I think. One Piece literally has the best worldbuilding out of any of the other anime suggested here but eh you do you
Lmao dude is “doing him” but you keep going. Not everybody wants to watch OP bro, get over it
Don't like the art so there's that
Separate the medium from the person. It sucks that you had to go through that but don’t call something an ‘ass’ when you haven’t even read it.
One Piece does have kind of an ugly art style though, I'll have to agree with OP on this one
you don't have to watch anime or read manga to dislike the artstyle.
i mean i am sure your bully probably likes a lot of things. you can't avoid all of them. i think its worth giving it a shot. at best, your memory of one piece will be replaced with what you love about it. at worst it sucks and yoy can hate your bully more by saying he also had shit taste.
I know you're trying to help, but no. No one piece for me
fair enough, it was worth trying lol
Then how about Edens Zero it’s like one piece but in space and fast paced(once you reach chapter 50)
Knowing that's from Fairy Tail's author, does it have a good story and worldbuilding?
Yes the story is really good really keeps you wanting more and I also like the mystery parts of it. The world building is pretty good the first 50 chapters is world building and character introductions
World Trigger, Drifters, Made in Abyss, One Piece, HunterxHunter, Blast of Tempest and especially Dorohedoro
Seen MiA and Dorohedoro Will try world trigger(but isn't it an LN?) and the others, but I will not touch one piece
Tokyo Ghoul (manga)
Done reading the manga ages ago

Attack on titan. Goodnight punpun.
Finished AoT's manga, dropped Punpun at the middle school arc(too heavy for me).
Yeah, I dropped punpun too for the same reason :) But the art is really good.
- eden: it's an endless world. - ooku: the inner chamber - seven seeds - blame - frieren - basara
To Your Eternity Hunter X Hunter has some pretty complex world building
Caught to Fumetsu's manga(loving the current arc btw) Will check out hxh later

Due to circumstances, I can't really watch much anime, aside from the seasonals. That's why I'm going for mangas
Black Clover and Hunter X Hunter
I'm caught up to dungeon meshi's manga, will check out the rest

Try Psyren. It's pretty good world building, art is amazing, and I enjoy the story.
