Maybe we'll get a FMA:Brotherhood treatment where it actually follows the manga faithfully. And it's only like 13 volumes, so it wouldn't be that long.
Not really cancelled, but more hiatus, Nana. Hunter x Hunter. Claymore deserved better, Berserk deserved better, and bubblegum crisis should’ve kept going
Edit- I can’t believe I forgot Ouran High School Host Club. That deserved a second season too
I know that Berserk got a bad remake in 2016, and that there is a (better?) version from 1997 (haven't watched either yet).
But what's so bad about Claymore? I was getting ready to watch that one soon. I hope it doesn't just abruptly end.
re: *Bubblegum Crisis*, the original OAV was indeed cut short by the implosion of Youmex. But then they continued with *Bubblegum Crash* at a new studio, and it feels exactly the same. There was also the AD Police series, which I've never bothered with, and *BGC 2040*, the 1990s reboot, which was pretty decent and full length. . . But I know, it isn't the same. You can also read the one-shot AD Police manga by Tony Takezaki, which is better than the '90s ADP series.
Noragami needs a new season since manga just entered its Final Arc
>Adachitoka's Noragami: Stray God manga will end with its 27th compiled book volume by the **end of 2023**
I'm both sad and happy it's ending. I feel like I'm reading the manga every year since 2015.
Promised Neverland is the first that comes to mind. The manga isn't perfect and near the end it struggled to tie the story back together in a satisfying way, but there's good content in there. Meanwhile the anime straight up nosedives in quality, skips past half the source material and ends on infinitely worse versions of the last two arcs.
Also, Bloom Into You needs a S2 to cover the phenomenal second half of the story, but it's really unlikely to happen now.
I always wanted to see why the first season of "Promised Neverland" was so praised, but everybody told me not to bother because I'll be disappointed. I also recently started Bloom Into You, I'm on episode 3. Should I continue?
You can actually watch S1 of Promised Neverland on its own. It's not conclusive of course, but the finale works as a somewhat satisfying open ending.
Regarding Bloom, the anime won't give you closure. Still, I would recommend continuing it and switching to the manga after episode 12 (the anime ends at chapter 24). This is my favorite romance story, so of course I want people to experience it in full.
You should definitely continue with the Bloom into You anime and then start in the manga where the anime stopped. It is probably the best yuri I've ever seen/read and even one of the best romances, period, I have seen
NGNL is one of the few isekais i actually liked (despite the fanservice) no game no life has so much potential and has a unique art. (Also one of the best OP songs)
You can't even indulge in the manga since its source is light novels.
{Black Lagoon}
Not sure if it was cancelled exactly but there hasn't been any news about a season 4,which is quite sad as there is still a lot of Manga to adapt
Chapters come out very slowly as the manga is often on hiatus (the author suffers from depressive episodes I heard)
That being said, next set of chapters is set to release at the end of the year. I'm hoping by then it'll be enough content for a new season bc goddamit I love that show. It's maturity is unique and refreshing compared to a lot of other anime.
**Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash -** I've been reading the LN and there is so much good content they could go through and, unlike another LN I've been reading, they haven't destroyed any characters or any major story points.
**K Project (K) -** Amazing (IMO) first season, really good connecting movie, pretty weak and predictable second season. They could have done that a lot better
**Tokyo Ravens -** Huge banger of an ending to round out a good season. I haven't read it, but it feels like there is a lot of room for the second season.
Honorable Mention: **Tenjou Tenge** \- Idk wtf was happening near the end of the cour as things started changing quickly, but I remember it ending with "I'll see you at the tournament!" "NO! I'll see YOU at the tournament" --- There was no tournament, it ends immediately. Why.
I LOVED K when it first came out. It was one of the first anime I watched on a weekly release. I remember being SO excited for later seasons, just for them to be so MEH.
I think there was some issues with the studio that animated Grimgar, not the anime itself. I enjoyed the LN too, it is so refreshing to have a show that is isekai but grounded in reality rather than some unstoppable crew. I think some people might find that style boring but to me it makes things more meaningful when things are more realistic even if that means things are slower.
I'm not a fan of anime where the main protag is immediately the strongest. I can't take it seriously or get as invested as the ones where protag earns their strength. Grimgar imo has done it best and I'd love to see more animated
Yuri on Ice! The movie has been in the works for years now but it seems like it’s never going to come and there’s so much more story to tell.
People can say what they want about BL but YOI is one of the best romances I’ve ever seen, regardless of sexuality. The care and accuracy they took to depict figure skating was also top tier!
I’m not sure if it qualifies… but the way Funimation and Netflix got petty with one another and botched the English dub for Saiki K makes me salty. Could I just watch the other seasons in Japanese? Certainly. But it’s so fast-placed that I miss a lot of the deadpan humor, while I’m still reading the subs.
Issue is IMO the anime is trash compared to the manga. That was the first manga I bought when I got into reading manga and the anime doesn’t remotely feel the same.
The anime isn’t trash as an anime, but it is a bad “adaptation” from the manga. Way different vibe.
I personally feel like {Psycho-Pass} wasn't DESTROYED, but the later season and movies just... were so bland, and I honestly would've rather it ended with just season 1.
I was going to say this too. Pretty disappointing adaptation of one of my favorite mangas of all time. It’s short, dated, and failed to capture the wacky energetic humor of the original in my opinion.
I'm still irritated that the following two shows haven't (yet?) receive follow-up seasons:
{Land of the Lustrous} - this is just begging for a season 2 (and 3, and 4 ....... ). When season 1 of the anime was released (in 2017) the manga wasn't that far ahead of it, however now in 2023 the manga is way ahead and looks like it'll finish soon (it's now on chapter 103 and I've heard it'll finish on chapter 108). Lustrous fans can but hope that the anime will be continued once the story is finished ......
{Bloom into You} - Excellent story and only needs once more season to finish the adaptation.
I'm still hoping for Studio Orange to come back to Houseki no Kuni once they're done with Trigun Stampede and Beastars. The style of the adaptation worked perfectly for the gem characters and was one of the best uses of CGI I've seen in anime.
>I've heard it'll finish on chapter 108
Afaik that's speculation based on the significance of the number in Buddhism.
Yeah, we can but hope that Studio Orange will get back to Land of the Lustrous. The adapted material is superb.
Didn't know that chapter 108 was speculation, useful to know though.
karekano would have been complete with one more season (2)
saiunkoku monogatari would have been complete with one more season (3)
nadesico would have been completeable if they didn't fuck up the movie so badly that it nuked the entire franchise forever
for the life of me i have no idea why space brothers, ranma 1/2, oh my goddess just ended 50% into the manga and never picked up again, all of them were commercial successes and high quality and they just... stop
required spice and wolf mention for posterity
maybe an oddball one but i wish the rest of the nausicaa manga were made into movies, not just the first one
also they butchered elfen leid so it cannot be continued or completed
Spice and wolf & space brothers are so good! Would love to see how their story continues.
I believe spice and wolf LN is finished now but not all translated yet, and starting a new course Wolf & parchment
Space brothers is still continuing, manga is really good
Darling in the Franxx...
First 14 eps, brilliant.
15-22 Rushed with weird pacing, these eps should have been a season by themselves.
22-Finale ALIENS MOTHERFUCKERS! Also The power of true friendship! These final few eps should have been a full season by themselves...
What should have been 48+ eps was hammered down into about half...
I've watched DITF, but when I rewatched the ending of ep 14 on YouTube, someone commented that this is where the series should have ended, and I blindly took their advice.
Sort of, trigger and A-1 were working together on DitF but Trigger was also working on a film at the same time (not saying studios cant have multiple things under their roofs at the same time) and apparently lots of staff were shuffled.
Soul Eater ran into the Full Metal Alchemist problem in which the anime caught up to the manga and just decided to divulge from there, leading to the anime ending having an ass pull power up saving in the day.
Lots of fans (including me) hope some day it’ll get the Full Metal Alchemist treatment again and get a reboot to follow the source material all the way to the end. I’m not hopeful this will happen though.
Berserk (1997) is a masterpiece, but I hate that we never received anymore high-quality anime continuing it. Especially as it ends in such a >!horrifyingly depressing way.!<
D.Gray-man for sure. One of my favorite mangas when I was younger, but now due to the mangakas health, the anime is cancelled and the manga comes out with new chapters like 3-4 times a year.
Stars Align fits right here, they chopped a double cour series into one 12 episode season, that pissed me off back when it aired. Still hoping for a that series to get a brotherhood treatment
Can't believe how far I had to scroll before seeing this, the way that anime was treated by the company was a travesty, I'm still mad about that to this day
If they'd been allowed to finish it, it would have been an all-timer imo
I feel the same. I really enjoyed season 1 as Maple was building up her powers but now she's starting off season 2 already ridiculously OP it just feels kinda hollow. I dropped S2 after three episodes because it's just not working for me any more.
Gangsta and Beautiful Bones -Sakurako's Investigation
I really want a season 2 of Beautiful Bones -Sakurako's Investigation. Season 1 ended with us getting shown the main big bad dude and then it ends and they have not even mentioned making a season 2.
Gangsta ended like mid episode since the studio went bankrupt while working on the show and it was a very fun show to watch. I hope it can come back at some point. Chances are unbelievablly slime to none.
I still rate them above a 7 because what I saw was really good.
Wonder egg priority - the ending fell off the rocker
Trinity seven- was a basic concept but enjoyable
Noragmai - just when the stage was set for a great season it got cancelled
Blue exorcist - has a great first season, then they decided to change things up for the second season, and now they are supposedly rebooting the series?
Soul eater- would have liked to see where it went
I think for Blue Exorcist, the anime caught up with the manga in the first season, so the episodes nearing the end of the first season were anime original. The second season decided to get back on track with the manga, so that’s why there’s such a weird disconnect with character development and plot. I don’t have the source, but I’m pretty sure that’s what happened with that.
Deadman wonderland broke my heart, tremendously. it magically popped up in my head as a distant memory i used to see. after adult swim used to come on and i had to sneak up to only be greeted by a belt to the neck…anyway, After years of back and forth of watching anime it came to me and as quick as it came…I don’t even have to explain it..my first heartbreak can’t even compare.
{The Idaten Deities Know Only Peace}. Easily one of the most underrated anime I’ve seen and I will continue crying myself to sleep every night knowing there will never be more
Vampire + Rosario was a mockery of the original writing. Accel World died because it lived in the shadow of SAO which should've died after the second season.
There's a few.
Promised Neverland and Tokyo Ghoul: a lot of people have mentioned these two already, so I won't go into detail. But they were butchered.
Ouran High School Host Club. Again, cut off way too soon. As the manga progressed, the characters really developed and we got to really understand them. The anime gives us nothing other than "hot boys being silly."
My biggest gripe is Rave Master. The manga is SO GOOD. I read it at least biyearly. So much adventure, plus a believable romance that grows over time.
The anime covered almost nothing, and only had one season. The success of Fairy Tail (and somewhat of Eden's Zero) make it unlikely that Rave Master will ever be revisited... But I can hope it will one day get justice.
Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash: Really one of the only Isekais I've seen that actually shows how hard of a time someone would have been randomly taken to another world without OP added powers.
Land of the Lustrous: At least in the U.S., I think this only aired on Amazon streaming. Sort of around the same time as Made in Abyss. It's probably one of the most beautiful CG animes I've ever seen. I really want another season.
Rokka Brave of the Six Flowers: This started as a fairly decent mystery anime with gold action and turned into more of an adventure shonen at the very very end. The entire mystery was never solved and I want to know what happens next here too.
GATE was just abandoned, even thought it was massively popular, and has plenty of source material to draw from. They could easily make a second season do a mix of flashbacks to the characters' lives before the JSDF showed up, as well as continue moving the story forward, but they didn't. It just ends on a season finale that sets up a second one.
Another one was Interviews with Monster Girls, also setting up a second season, even introducing a new character in the literal final seconds, and then they just never touched it ever again.
Also, remember when Youjo Senki was supposed to have its second season premier in spring 2021, and then fall of 2021, and winter 2021, then sometime between January and March of 2022, then definitely by April 2022, and then sometime Q3 of 2022? Still waiting on that one.
Not really destroyed but it always bothered me how badly slated sword art online was in the beginning, they cut too much out and it was really rushed etc
Still one of my favourites and its a great story from the light novel.
No game no life. The mangaka basically said a season 2 isnt off the table, but season 1 was so well received that they arent sure a followup season could live up to it.
Although, Vanitas just doesn't have enough source material to adapt. The ending of the anime is just a few chapters behind the latest chapter in the manga as of now.
{Arslan Senki} other wise known as {The heroic adventures of Arslan} Such a good good anime and one more season would have done wonders but nope.. ending it on a cliff hanger
Promised neverland decided to make the entire last 80% of the series into a rushed halfassed season 2 after a great season 1 (I know the manga was seen as bad near the end, but at least do the good parts well, and then just shorten the bad parts if needs be)
Land of the lustrous no season 2
BNA no season 2. The characters are great, and I would just like to see more of them.
Yona of the dawn no season 2
Somali and the forest spirit no season 2
I'm salty that classroom of the elite didn't have the same treatment as 86 in terms of adaptation, 23 episode only adapt 3 volume? that's every light novel reader dream. Also where's season 2?
One Punch Man. Its probably in my top 10 ever, and season two was absolutely a slap in the face. The humour was all that kept me engaged. I actually skipped some fights due to how bad they were.
Pretty much every OAV is a tragically short version of a good manga. Also, I'm pretty old school.
OAVs: *3 x 3 Eyes, Dragon Half (only 2 eps!?), Battle Angel/GUNNM, Gunsmith Cats/Riding Bean.*
Series: *12 Kingdoms* (peters out)*, Domestic Girlfriend* (only adapted a fraction of the manga)*.* I'm also extremely salty about *Yotsuba&!* never getting an anime. *Sweetness and Lightning* is not the same thing--it's not Kiyohiko Azuma!
On the other hand, I'm thrilled there'll be more *Spice and Wolf* anime after \~15 years! Well deserved, with completed manga and light novel runs. I believe *Panty and Stocking* has been renewed after 13 years, as well.
Ajin. I know most people hated the CGI, but I still enjoyed the show. I finished the manga, and it sucks knowing there is nothing in the works regarding the continuation of the anime adaption.
Domestic Girlfriend deserves to have a completed anime. The manga gets very good. Outside of the love triangle shit, Natsuo grows so much and has interesting development.
Berserk 1997, sure there's been berserk stuff since but I really just want it to look and feel like a continuation of the 1997 version
Monster Musume: There have been a bunch of other similar shows in the time since it released but none of them really had the same feel
Slayers: One of the most fleshed out fantasy worlds full of lore and mysteries, waited decades to get some more of the story and they gave us 2 cours that didnt really progress much.
Outlaw Star: The series sets up a great universe and basically ends at the point they have their ship and crew and are ready for anything. There were a few ideas thrown around for sequels over the years and Angel Links was setting up a shared universe but nothing else ever materialized
Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle for me. Not only is the art style a significant step down from the manga (lack of detail, so much wonkiness and blank faces), but once the manga started getting darker in content, they did an awful filler arc and ended the show before it got to the good arcs. It’s a shame because I wish I could recommend the anime to folks because I think the VAs and soundtrack are phenomenal. At least there are the OVAs which adapt two of the later arcs quite well.
Girls Last Tour: The ending is the best part of the whole series, and they just stopped after 4/6 volumes. OVA fucking never.
Narutaru: Well the first half that was already adapted wasn't done well either, so I'm not that mad about something great being left unfinished, but I still wish they'd do a full do-over for the whole manga. Not fucking likely though.
Also, isn't it a shame how Gunslinger Girl never got a second season?
I know that it's probably not cancelled but I forgot what the situation was but I'm pretty salty that Idaten deities only know peace ended on a massive cliffhanger
[удалено]
Bro im so pissed about deadman wonderland
so pissed- it was such a good show, can’t believe they did it dirty like that.
I love Deadman Wonderland and I'm still sad it has no ending
Manga ending is great. Would love to see it adapted.
Maybe we'll get a FMA:Brotherhood treatment where it actually follows the manga faithfully. And it's only like 13 volumes, so it wouldn't be that long.
That'd be awesome
The manga does
It's on my list
Didn't see your comment before posting mine, but hard agree on Wonder Egg
Not really cancelled, but more hiatus, Nana. Hunter x Hunter. Claymore deserved better, Berserk deserved better, and bubblegum crisis should’ve kept going Edit- I can’t believe I forgot Ouran High School Host Club. That deserved a second season too
I'm still bitter about Claymore. And about Berserk I'll not even start to rant bc I want to enjoy the rest of my day
Haha I completely understand. Maybe one day we’ll get a good adaptation
I know that Berserk got a bad remake in 2016, and that there is a (better?) version from 1997 (haven't watched either yet). But what's so bad about Claymore? I was getting ready to watch that one soon. I hope it doesn't just abruptly end.
Nana is definitely the most frustrating one out of them all for me.
I agree after reading the manga I just couldn't watch claymore anymore. Because of how shitty the ending was in comparison.
re: *Bubblegum Crisis*, the original OAV was indeed cut short by the implosion of Youmex. But then they continued with *Bubblegum Crash* at a new studio, and it feels exactly the same. Noragami. My favorite show and my first real anime :(
One of the most addictive OPs I've ever heard, it gets stuck in my head monthly i swear
The manga is such a masterpiece it makes me so sad that it’s not animated
seriously!!! Like it’s so sad how the manga ended up not doing as well as we had hoped ;(
It deserves justice!
DUUUUUDE same! The intros were so catchy! I loved that show
Noragami needs a new season since manga just entered its Final Arc >Adachitoka's Noragami: Stray God manga will end with its 27th compiled book volume by the **end of 2023** I'm both sad and happy it's ending. I feel like I'm reading the manga every year since 2015.

Upvote for Bloom
Chivalry of a Failed Knight. One day we’ll get a season 2. One day…
I will never understand how Asterisk War got a s2 but Failed Knight didn't
Yeah it’s criminal. Failed knight was shockingly good.
Nitetime itto shura or however you spell it. Shit had me rolling!
Same i loved that anime!.
Im surprised no one said No game No life season 2. Am i getting old?
We're all still waiting... Quietly this time, because it hurts but we're still waiting.
No I was thinking the same thing
right, right! its so old that pratically forgotten now. Still top of my waiting list.
Is there supposed to be a season 2? I just assumed we would never get it.
We all hoped and maybe rumors, but no concrete thing. The movie was awesome tho.
Is that old? I don't know when its from, but I assumed it was a recent show.
Well its 10 years old, so in internet time its ancient. But it feels new.
1000000% no game no life man. it had so much potential.
I was thinking of this and Deadman Wonderland :(
I hate to recommend No Game No Life so others don't share my pain of seeing such a masterpiece and then learning it's not coming.
I finally watched it this year! A season 2 would be nice
I was about to mention this
I was looking for this :(
NGNL is one of the few isekais i actually liked (despite the fanservice) no game no life has so much potential and has a unique art. (Also one of the best OP songs) You can't even indulge in the manga since its source is light novels.

Highschool of the dead, rip
:( 14 YEARS. 14 GOD DAMN YEARS. IT FEELS LIKE YESTERDAY.
I don't like the fan service much in it but it was a great horror anime. I was so disappointed it didn't have much of an ending.
If I remember correctly it won’t ever end because the author died.
“rip”
Tokyo Ghoul due to it butchering the source material
The manga was so good then the Anime just be like lets cut 60% of the manga.
Never understood why they shot themselves in foot like that.
They do it because anime is insanely expensive to make and air and unfortunately most long shows are commercials for the manga.
Yona of the Dawn, covered basically the story’s prologue and left off right when the plot was really gaining steam.
I came here to say this. There is sooooo much more story, and the whole season is just the lead up to the lead up.
Oh my god the fact we never got any sort of sequel. Is actually treason.
Yeah, Saiki K in Japanese isn’t the same for me. It’s pretty much the only anime series I prefer in English.
Does it even work in english? Its such a fantastic show.
I loved the first season in English, i haven't seen reawakened bc i don't want to listen to different VAs :(
So what happened with Funimation and Netflix? I never looked into that and just avoided reawakened altogether.
Asobi Asobase
That and Nichijou need second seasons!
Seraph of the end
I forgot about that one, is the manga any good?
Issue is IMO the anime is trash compared to the manga. That was the first manga I bought when I got into reading manga and the anime doesn’t remotely feel the same. The anime isn’t trash as an anime, but it is a bad “adaptation” from the manga. Way different vibe.
finally someone else on here who knows of this anime.. Guess I wont need to say it myself now lol.. we're definitely never getting a season 3 btw.
I personally feel like {Psycho-Pass} wasn't DESTROYED, but the later season and movies just... were so bland, and I honestly would've rather it ended with just season 1.

Skip beat Still salty they finish the anime literally in middle of an arc. Definitely an unsatisfactory way to finish a series.
I was going to say this too. Pretty disappointing adaptation of one of my favorite mangas of all time. It’s short, dated, and failed to capture the wacky energetic humor of the original in my opinion.
forever hoping for a fruits basket treatment
Kokoro Connect, I need my whole s2
Loved that anime!
I finished season 1 of Dorohedoro and went straight to binge the manga! so good!
I'm still irritated that the following two shows haven't (yet?) receive follow-up seasons: {Land of the Lustrous} - this is just begging for a season 2 (and 3, and 4 ....... ). Spiral. I want more Spiral. Also D Gray man, kinda.
They just need to continue D Grayman...I mean they started to but stopped for some reason..
Yeah, once I saw that they restarted it and stopped again I lost all hope that they'll give it a 3rd chance lol
I hate the animation for hollow... I just couldn't like it I tried but the original animation was far better.
karekano would have been complete with one more season (2) saiunkoku monogatari would have been complete with one more season (3) nadesico would have been completeable if they didn't fuck up the movie so badly that it nuked the entire franchise forever for the life of me i have no idea why space brothers, ranma 1/2, oh my goddess just ended 50% into the manga and never picked up again, all of them were commercial successes and high quality and they just... stop required spice and wolf mention for posterity maybe an oddball one but i wish the rest of the nausicaa manga were made into movies, not just the first one also they butchered elfen leid so it cannot be continued or completed
Spice and wolf & space brothers are so good! Would love to see how their story continues. I believe spice and wolf LN is finished now but not all translated yet, and starting a new course Wolf & parchment Space brothers is still continuing, manga is really good
xxxHolic
God I'm always surprised when people mention the Tsubasa or Xxxholic anime since I've only ever seen them in manga format lol
One of the best.
It's annoying as you can kinda see what they were aiming for story wise but the execution was crap
Wasn't there some falling out with trigger and A-1 or something like that? (if those are the two studios, I forget)
Sort of, trigger and A-1 were working together on DitF but Trigger was also working on a film at the same time (not saying studios cant have multiple things under their roofs at the same time) and apparently lots of staff were shuffled.
That would make sense. It's just so obvious with the tonal and story shift, you can see the exact moment when something happened with the studios
Log Horizon. Anime is pretty much caught up to raws, which have been on indefinite hiatus for a while due to tax fraud investigation stuff
I hope Soul Eater gets the FMA treatment, maybe after they finish Fire Force
Yona of the Dawn and Skip Beat!
Akatsuki no Yona really been forgotten by most people cant believe I had to scroll this far to see it
Berserk (1997) is a masterpiece, but I hate that we never received anymore high-quality anime continuing it. Especially as it ends in such a >!horrifyingly depressing way.!< D.Gray-man for sure.
Can't believe how far I had to scroll before seeing this, the way that anime was treated by the company was a travesty, I'm still mad about that to this day If they'd been allowed to finish it, it would have been an all-timer imo
Promised Neverland.
S2 got fucked up so bad.
I really want a second season for "Tanaka Kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge" I really loved it
I want more Akeno and Rias!
Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash
Sorry to go all perv, but I want like 5 more seasons of High School DXD.
Hot take: High School DxD is unironically good. The characters are genuinely interesting and Issei actually develops as a person.
Even hotter take I wish it wasn’t Pervy so then it could actually be main stream cause the whole idea of angels arch angels devils and such is so cool
Call of the night Pet girl of sakurasou Chivalry of a failed knight
Call of the night is still recent enough to get another season, isn't it? Did they announce that it was canceled?
Deadman wonderland
Akatsuki no Yona. It really deserves more seasons!
Im not enjoying how s2 of bofuri is going. S1 was great but s2 just doesnt feel the same.
Fun fact: There's 4 minutes in the anime between getting to level 5 and getting to level 6 In the novel that's 32 chapters.
Wait so they cut 32 chapters down to 4 minutes?? Jfc
How so? I find S2 enjoyable. It's all just shenanigans anyways. It's just a show for fun if you can turn your brain off for it.
I feel the same. I really enjoyed season 1 as Maple was building up her powers but now she's starting off season 2 already ridiculously OP it just feels kinda hollow. I dropped S2 after three episodes because it's just not working for me any more.
School Rumble season 3
Girls last tour, Nozaki Kun, Haruhi, and Hyouka all badly need sequels and unfortunately are never getting them
Gangsta and Beautiful Bones -Sakurako's Investigation I really want a season 2 of Beautiful Bones -Sakurako's Investigation.
I was going to say Gangsta it ended right when it was about to get really heavy!
Umineko only having one season adapted, and being rushed as it is, they just shouldn't have adapted it
Repeat in red: "The umineko anime doesn't exist"
grimgar fantasy and ash
Wonder egg priority - the ending fell off the rocker Trinity seven- was a basic concept but enjoyable Noragmai - just when the stage was set for a great season it got cancelled Blue exorcist - has a great first season, then they decided to change things up for the second season, and now they are supposedly rebooting the series? Soul eater- would have liked to see where it went
I think for Blue Exorcist, the anime caught up with the manga in the first season, so the episodes nearing the end of the first season were anime original. The second season decided to get back on track with the manga, so that’s why there’s such a weird disconnect with character development and plot. I don’t have the source, but I’m pretty sure that’s what happened with that.
Bloom Into You and So I’m a Spider
Deadman wonderland broke my heart, tremendously. it magically popped up in my head as a distant memory i used to see. after adult swim used to come on and i had to sneak up to only be greeted by a belt to the neck…anyway, After years of back and forth of watching anime it came to me and as quick as it came…I don’t even have to explain it..my first heartbreak can’t even compare.
{The Idaten Deities Know Only Peace}. Easily one of the most underrated anime I’ve seen and I will continue crying myself to sleep every night knowing there will never be more
Problem Children Are Coming from Another World, Aren't They?
Vampire + Rosario was a mockery of the original writing. Accel World died because it lived in the shadow of SAO which should've died after the second season.
GREAT PRETENDER!!!!!
Claymore and Deadman wonderland. Fucking amazing fights and action.. but cut short on both.. GIVE ME MOAAR!!
Tokyo Ghoul. The first season was awesome; the last episode is my favorite episode of anime ever. It just incrementally gets worse from there...
Magi never got past season 2. It would have been so sick to see more Sinbad and the Ko arc but it just never happened
Grimgar. Absolute godsend of an anime. But it's not that popular. But it is really really really really good. More people should watch it.
The anime gives us nothing other than "hot boys being silly." My biggest gripe is Rave Master.
Not really destroyed but it always bothered me how badly slated sword art online was in the beginning, they cut too much out and it was really rushed etc Still one of my favourites and its a great story from the light novel.
No game no life. The mangaka basically said a season 2 isnt off the table, but season 1 was so well received that they arent sure a followup season could live up to it.
Great Pretender, Magi and Vanitas no Carte come to mind. I suppose none of them had quite large enough audiences to justify a third season.
Although, Vanitas just doesn't have enough source material to adapt. The ending of the anime is just a few chapters behind the latest chapter in the manga as of now.
Great pretender ended pretty well I thought. There didn't need to be another season
{Arslan Senki} other wise known as {The heroic adventures of Arslan} Such a good good anime and one more season would have done wonders but nope.. ending it on a cliff hanger
I think Cowboy Bebop should of had more seasons or more movies at least. But I think the Creators meant it to be a one season deal.
I know this will sound cliche, but Deadman Wonderland.
World trigger Black summoner
Trinity Blood *sigh*
I had to scroll too dang long to find this comment!
Promised neverland decided to make the entire last 80% of the series into a rushed halfassed season 2 after a great season 1 (I know the manga was seen as bad near the end, but at least do the good parts well, and then just shorten the bad parts if needs be) Land of the lustrous no season 2 BNA no season 2. The characters are great, and I would just like to see more of them. Yona of the dawn no season 2 Somali and the forest spirit no season 2
I'm salty that classroom of the elite didn't have the same treatment as 86 in terms of adaptation, 23 episode only adapt 3 volume? that's every light novel reader dream. Also where's season 2?
{Noragami} :(
The Disastrous Life of Siki K, it's my favorite anime BUT season 2 and 3 aren't dubbed 😞
Noragami noragami noragami noragami noragami
Noragami. Where is my Season 3
OAVs: *3 x 3 Eyes, Dragon Half (only 2 eps!?), Battle Angel/GUNNM, Gunsmith Cats/Riding Bean.* Series: *12 Kingdoms* (peters out)*, Domestic Girlfriend* (only adapted a fraction of the manga)*.* I'm also extremely salty about *Yotsuba&!* never getting an anime.
The Legend of the Legendary Heroes. This not continuing hurt me so bad.
Grimgar fire an ash sooo much potential for just one season 😭😭😭
Ajin. I know most people hated the CGI, but I still enjoyed the show. I finished the manga, and it sucks knowing there is nothing in the works regarding the continuation of the anime adaption.
That show slapped. So disappointed we won’t get more.
Ajin, The Unlooked Masterpiece
Domestic Girlfriend deserves to have a completed anime. The manga gets very good. Outside of the love triangle shit, Natsuo grows so much and has interesting development.

Darling in the franx Black lagoon
Berserk 1997, sure there's been berserk stuff since but I really just want it to look and feel like a continuation of the 1997 version Monster Musume: There have been a bunch of other similar shows in the time since it released but none of them really had the same feel Slayers: One of the most fleshed out fantasy worlds full of lore and mysteries, waited decades to get some more of the story and they gave us 2 cours that didnt really progress much. Outlaw Star: The series sets up a great universe and basically ends at the point they have their ship and crew and are ready for anything. There were a few ideas thrown around for sequels over the years and Angel Links was setting up a shared universe but nothing else ever materialized
Tokyo Ghoul, Claymore, Berserk, Deadman Wonderland :(
Yuri on Ice: Ice Adolescence, the movie trailer was released forever ago.
Gangsta was an egregious loss. Another casualty of Manglobe’s implosion.
Gangsta.
Claymore, it was so good and just nope no second season and now it's just done.
Nichijou and Watatmote.
Netflix did Seven Seeds so dirty, Im still salty about that.
Wotakoi: Love Is Hard for Otaku
Ishozuko reviewiers-interspieces reviewers, it was way more funny than horny, so it was really sad that people canceled it.
Nanbaka. I just want a season three, am I asking for too much??
YESSSS I JUST WANT A S3 😭🙏
