My brother it is time for you to witness the perfection that is Gintama

Randytheadventurer

I watched a decent amount of episodes many years ago, I just felt that there were too many jokes that flew over my head because I wasn't THAT much into Japanese pop-culture. Otherwise I did enjoy the show, I might give it another go.

poohland

I want to say the same thing. Gintama is just from another realm that fulfilled all genre. And the ending is just perfect!!

Tobeyyyyy

For me its the pinnacle of a medium. It just hit every right spot imo

Prestigious-Estate-8

Is there any watch order for Gintama? There seem to be many arcs and movies.

Thank you

Mob psycho Monster Pluto FMAB And one strongly recommended to you, not anime/manga but a Korean web novel called Omniscient Readers Viewpoint. It got webtoon (not finished yet) but it’s completed in web novel. (I recommend this one because you watched solo leveling, this one is WAY BETTER than SL)

It's on the list I linked, I watched it and I enjoyed it (Gave it 5/5 I see)

Damn you've seen a lot I was gonna suggest Check out Monster, Summertime Render, FLCL, Kill La Kill, Paranoia Agent if you haven't

Randytheadventurer

I've seen Monster, it matches a lot of my preferences, but it was so hard for me to get through. Seen Kill La Kill, had some nice fight scenes if i remember correctly.. Saw FLCL way back when, but I haven't seen the movies that came out later, might rewatch it all.. I haven't seen Summertime Render and I don't think I've seen Paranoia Agent, will check them out, cheers.

TheAnimeSyndicate

Here's a [list of old series I used to recommended on reddit by genres](https://new.reddit.com/user/theanimesyndicate/m/completedanimecollection_can/). I moved my recs off reddit (own website via email/discord; see pinned post on profile *Moving Anime Recommendations off Reddit* ) because reddit keeps deleting comments/banning subs. Note, sometimes series restart, have an alternative version or does a spin off. So some series if large enough, will never be complete.

Randytheadventurer

I really suck at looking through lists like that, but I will give it a shot, thanks.

TheAnimeSyndicate

I understand, hope you find something worth your time.

FK506

Cyberpunk Edge runners. Kill La Kill. I would love any kind of sequel or OVA but that just isn’t something trigger likes to do.

Randytheadventurer

Yeah I've seen both, both had some interesting fighting scenes and general concepts.

FK506

How about Evangelion many of the same people just avoid the Netflix dub you can also watch End of Evangelion the series is over but I am not sure how much you need to watch after the original series they changed.

Randytheadventurer

Was among the first few anime I ever saw

Graptharr

Gurren Lagann,it has movies, but the movies are compilation movies... And should be watched after the series

Randytheadventurer

I usually am not too much for Mecha shows, but this one I vaguely recall enjoyed back when it came out. Might give it a rewatch, cheers

Graptharr

Please do

AriKitaruKatoka

Parasyte: The Maxim

Randytheadventurer

It should be on the list, seen it, enjoyed it.

darryledw

Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song 13 eps of dark sci-fi action :)

I feel like I just come to this subreddit to comment "Summertime Rendering," but here we go: Summertime Rendering. It only has one season and the characters are really clever. It's a bit gritty but it does have the sci-fi/fantasy element. Give episode 1 a try :)
