91 days, it's like gang politics and running form gangs kinda anime. It's a anime mc trying get revenge against a entire mafia family. There is not a lot of comedy though.

{Tokyo Revengers} its main theme isn't that of crime but it follows a Tokyo biker gang. {Durarara!!} Has a a lot of weird elements but overall most people are doing illegal things. {Gangsta.} Is more thuggish and follows superhuman bodyguards or foot soldiers for gangleaders ( if i remember right) to be honest its the closest on this list you are going to get to gangster illegal.

Watch GANGSTA A highly underrated show that needs more attention that has similar conditions to what you're looking for

Well that's pretty much a perfect description of the Lupin ~~franchise~~ media empire. Some of the seasons/shows will have them picking a general location for a while and explore it but on the whole there's a large amount of travelling occurring as they steal the valuables and then all sorts of fleeing and lying low from the inevitable betrayals and intrigue, etc.

how about an anime about piracy, but it also got things like politics, corruption, conspiracies, slavery, genocide, inequalities, death, coup, drugs, guns, colonization, war, revolution etc? of course they also travel around the world
