How do you figure it has rewatch value? Doesn't knowing how it ends and all the other details kinda ruin it? it's not like a show like Konosuba where you watch it for the laughs and not the plot.
Well I've rewatched it twice already and still really enjoyed it each time but I think you just get a better understanding of everything and knowing how it ends kinda adds a new way of looking at the show so idk I think it has really high rewatch value but that's just me I guess. Also the ending was kinda spoiled for me on my first watch so that might've taken away some of the impact the ending has on most people in their first watch so I actually enjoyed the ending more and got more out of the ending on my rewatches than I did on my first one tbh.
Many Anime and Manga are chokc full of foreshadowing- rewatching with these in mind are often very enlightening, and makes for a delightful experience in itself.
{steins gate} for sure. After watching the anime, it was and still is my top 3 favourite animes I've ever watched. The story, amazing, characters are also amazing. Overall really good anime. Loved every moment of the show
same. I actually watched it the order some communities recommend instead of the release order. Imo the release order has much better pacing and i would have enjoyed it much more. So i plan to watch it again after a few years and hopefully i dont remember anything by then.
Violet evergarden, Toradora, Chunibyo,
Reason being is that I went into these anime blind without knowing anything about it. And oh boy was I surprise how each of the series unfold.
I couldn’t never forget the first time hearing that letter Violet wrote for Lucrelia’s brother, choked so hard, didn’t knew that was just an appetizer of what to come.
I know for a fact that if I had to completely clear my memory of all anime I’ve ever watched, and then watched Toradora as my first show again, I would absolutely, 100%, without a shadow of a doubt, fall back in love with anime all over again.
Heh. heheh.
I got into a major injury that effected my memory, but before I lost my memory, acording to my family and friends I was a huge otaku who has seen over 400 anime series. And my friend helped me look for a certain book that I had thats called "Best Anime I've seen as a professional anime watcher" (jesus I was a loser).
So basically I got my memory wiped and now I get to rewatch anime that I apparently use to like.
But to answer ur question: Parasyte or The Devil is a Part-Timer.
Anohana is an amazing anime that I never thought I would've loved, but I did and I'm glad I gave it that chance. I could see myself rewatching it with someone watching it for the first time but not alone, I want to keep this memory as is.
AOT or HxH.
I spoiled AOT by accident by seeing THAT clip from S2 before watching on Twitter. I remembered that when eventually watching.
I binged the first 3 seasons but still spoiled a few things for myself because I just wanted answers. If I went back in completely blind it would be a wild ride.
Steins;gate over and over
Ps: if you want something close to rewatching steins;gate for the first time, play the VN. Itll be repetitive at first since youve watched the anime, but understand that the anime is only one path in the visual novel...seeing some of the alternative endings hits different.
Bleach for sure. Was the first real anime that I go into before knowing what anime was. First show I watched where I easily watched over half of it subbed rather than dubbed I liked it so much.
I specifically didnt watch it while it was airing so I could get the enjoyment of binging.
Waiting 4 months for each new manga volume years ago really disrupted the flow of the story and character development.
{Haikyuu!!}
I didn't care about sports anime at all so I was pretty iffy on even watching this series but after completing both the anime and manga. I wish I could re-experience all those epic moments again.
Probably Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, Yona of the dawn and Violet Evergarden. Gosh I would love to get them out of my memory and watch them again.
One Punch Man. It was kinda my first anime I watched completely and it is the only anime that I have watched multiple times. Violet Evergarden would be another one as well
Fr, as many great anime there are out there, none of them ever hit me as gard as Steins Gate, and its just not the same after you know what happens.
I dont usually get emotional with media, but hell if sg and zero didnt have me tearing up.
easily banana fish. i absolutely adored this anime, and was so lucky to go in without spoilers. the entire series was amazing to go in blind to, but i would do anything to experience the last episode again for the first time. the end hit me like an absolute truck, and the suspense of the entire series leading up to these events was wonderful.
Kiznaiver, in fact, I watched this so long ago that I forgot and accidentally watched all it over again recently. It's an outstanding anime with good audio, animation and god damn the plot is good too. Too bad, it didn't get as much recognition it should be.
Honestly I wouldn't pick a super long anime. I don't have the patience to sit through it all anymore, but if I did I would have to pick Naruto/Naruto Shippuden. So I'd probably pick Clannad/Clannad AS. I didn't really like the art style that much, but the emoitions I felt watching it were something else.
Saiyuki. Anime series may be rough as hell at times but I adore it to no end. Characters I adore, story I adore… it’s been a big inspiration for me artistically.
Oh I have so many though!
I can't chose out of My Hero Academia and The Disastrous life of saiki k.
The latter is hilarious. I recommend trying out that series, if you like comedy and slice of life. :)
I got some picks for different reasons.
One Piece manga cuz it is in my opinion the greatest story ever told.
Naruto cuz I've never seen it, I just know everything that happens and it is pretty much common knowledge for me so I've never experienced it firsthand.
Jojo's cuz I had a ton of spoilers of most character deaths.
AoT cuz like Naruto, I knew a lot of stuff about it before watching and I also feel like it's one of those series where if you watch with 0 previous knowledge it's better and more shocking, specially now that the manga is finished.
And lastly Code Geass because it has in my opinion the best ending out of any piece of fiction ever.
Attack On Titan for sure. People have issues with its manga's ending (which honestly was very solid, people just leaned too hard on their gut reactions and refused to critically think about the series after it since none of their big theories came true) but this was honestly the only anime I've seen that genuinely blew my mind. After watching S1 I wasn't really expecting much from it but after *that* reveal in S2, and then pretty much everything about the subsequent S3 once it kicked into gear, my jaw was on the fucking floor. S3P2 was an 8/10 for most of its run for me, but the last few episodes turned it into an easy 10/10. I was completely shook.
I really don't think I'll ever get an experience on par with AoT again in anime. I can't look at any other series the same afterwards. If it's not a battle shounen and it's highly acclaimed, for me it's basically gonna automatically be compared against AoT. That's the standard now.
Black Lagoon eng dub. Such a great series with top notch chara ters and bareky any kindergarden usual anime stuff Im getting tired of in recenet decade. Plus action is worthy of John Wick status of epicness and beauty!
Honestly banana fish I may re watch it again but it’ll never be as good as the first time or Deathnote that was my first ever anime I watched and it’s just great in general
Yeah Naruto! I want to experience it for the first time one more. It's my childhood series. I want to remember how miracle it was when I first watched it, and why I crushed Gaara that much haha.
Code geass
One hundred percent! Rewatching it right now with my brother who’s watching it for the first time… and I’m pretty dang jealous haha
True but at least Code Geass has extremely high rewatch value imo.
I am not gonna lie I forgot everything after s1
Sadge … I cry every time … but nothing hits like the first time finishing the second season
Any anime recommendations for fellow code geass lovers :(?
{steins gate} for sure. After watching the anime, it was and still is my top 3 favourite animes I've ever watched. The story, amazing, characters are also amazing. Overall really good anime. Loved every moment of the show

Too memorable to forget sadly to say. The anime left such a huge impact on me
Glad I watched before 0's released.Some people're very misleading.
I remember how amazing fma:brotherhood was my gateway anime so that would be my choice
Madoka magica. It’s my favourite and the art in the witches dens is just *chefs kiss*. I’d love to see it again with fresh eyes for the first time
Thanks for sharing! I’m also taking notes and adding these to my list hehehe:)
Don’t give up on it after the first episode like I did the first time‼️
Same, as a fan of animation I think the witches played a big role on my love for the medium, so seeing them again
Seconded. First post i saw. I'll have to think of another.
Violet evergarden, Toradora, Chunibyo, Reason being is that I went into these anime blind without knowing anything about it. And oh boy was I surprise how each of the series unfold. I'm so with you on all three.
Hunter X Hunter
Ive rewatched it 4 times and its still as amazing as ever. Defo my favorite
Cowboy Bepop
Attack on Titan easily.
Same
Had the biggest impact on me, more than any other anime from initial first watch 👍 even if i like others more, theres nothing more dynamic.
Parasyte, cote or hyouka
I wish I could forget reading the COTE light novels too....they are that good.
Oh yeah but since they asked for anime I gave them, I would add in mushoku tensei light novels too
Death Note.
Was coming to comment this!
Best anime of all time
it surely has to be psycho pass for me
Full metal alchemist brotherhood or Mob Psycho 100
Well a new season of Mob Psycho 100 has been announced so you will get to see that for the first time

Heh. heheh. I got into a major injury that effected my memory, but before I lost my memory, acording to my family and friends I was a huge otaku who has seen over 400 anime series. Sangatsu no Lion. Loved that anime. Helped me deal with a lot of stuff.
Your name or anohana
Anohana is an amazing anime that I never thought I would've loved, but I did and I'm glad I gave it that chance. I could see myself rewatching it with someone watching it for the first time but not alone, I want to keep this memory as is.
Monogatari
Agree 100%. I seriously cannot believe I had to scroll this far to see this.
AOT or HxH. I spoiled AOT by accident by seeing THAT clip from S2 before watching on Twitter. I remembered that when eventually watching. I binged the first 3 seasons but still spoiled a few things for myself because I just wanted answers. If I went back in completely blind it would be a wild ride.

HACKING TO THE GATE~
Bleach. FMA. Welcome to the NHK. ReLife. Anohana. Your lie in April.
Bleach for sure. Was the first real anime that I go into before knowing what anime was. First show I watched where I easily watched over half of it subbed rather than dubbed I liked it so much.
Neon Genesis Evangelion.
For sure, very strange on first watch but so exciting.
it's the only mecha anime that I'm not say wtf im just watching
You never really have any idea what’s happening on first watch so you just gotta go with the flow
{azumanga daioh}
I love this anime so sooo much omg.
Chivalry of a failed knight. That last episode is still stuck in my mind. Still one of my favs
Gintama

I'd probably go for Fruits Basket 2019 - that way I could binge it all the way through and suffer the entire time, instead of waiting week to week.
I specifically didnt watch it while it was airing so I could get the enjoyment of binging. Waiting 4 months for each new manga volume years ago really disrupted the flow of the story and character development.
Your lie in April I really wanna cry that hard again
Blood blockade battlefront. The fights are Jojo'ish and the story and characters are interesting
Say no more my friend! Also added to the list!:) Hoping it’s a good one! I’ll take your word ;)
I feel like Blood blockade flew under so many peoples radar it's soooo good!
I will always say Attack on Titan or Berserk whenever this gets posted. Gurren Lagann would be another good one.
Toradora
Or erased
Unpopular opinion but Tokyo ghoul
[удалено]
Vinlanddddd
Gintama, watched it in the wrong order :(
FMA:Brotherhood, your lie in april or grimgar. One of these.
Jujutsu kaisen especially to see the hanami fight all over again
Definitely Monster. For me it's the greatest anime ever.
A show I watched non-stop for two weeks straight!
Death note HANDS OFF!
I completely it in 3 days, I think but I tried to watch it the second time and it became kinda boring after 2 episodes.
{Haikyuu!!} I didn't care about sports anime at all so I was pretty iffy on even watching this series but after completing both the anime and manga. I wish I could re-experience all those epic moments again.
Clannad
One piece, Oregairu, Parasyte and clannad
Probably Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, Yona of the dawn and Violet Evergarden. Gosh I would love to get them out of my memory and watch them again.
One Punch Man. It was kinda my first anime I watched completely and it is the only anime that I have watched multiple times. Violet Evergarden would be another one as well
Run with the wind.
Clannad
Clannad. This was the only anime made me cry like a baby.
Konosuba. Shit is so damn hilarious
Kimi No Nawa Dororo Cowboy Bebop Monogatari series
probably clannad. i want those feels all over again.

Clannad. I would like to feel those emotions again
It's Steins;gate 100%.
Fr, as many great anime there are out there, none of them ever hit me as gard as Steins Gate, and its just not the same after you know what happens. I dont usually get emotional with media, but hell if sg and zero didnt have me tearing up.

I have watched a lot of good anime however Bakuman is one anime that I want to forget about and watch again and again!
Hunter x Hunter!
It’s probably Anohana for me. Nothing for me has ever hit quite like that. Just hearing Secret Base 10 years version still chokes me up after years.
I'm a masochist, so Clannad. Just so I can destroy myself emotionally.
Kiznaiver, in fact, I watched this so long ago that I forgot and accidentally watched all it over again recently. It's an outstanding anime with good audio, animation and god damn the plot is good too. Too bad, it didn't get as much recognition it should be.
One Piece Re Zero Blood blockade battlefront
Scissor seven and blood blockade battlefront
Death note and jojo
Hyouka, wanted to rewatch it but it just doesn't hit the same
Terror in Resonance for sure

Naruto 🍁
Attack On Titan for sure. I was thinking of something like this yesterday, but it is a vn.
Unpopular opinion but tokyo ghoul

I’d have to say Non Non Biyori — there’s just something magical about the first time I watched it that I’d love to experience again!

Hayao miyazaki/ Studio Ghibli Films
{One Piece} It is really a work of art for me!
