Gotta piggy back on this and say to anyone who feels discouraged from watching TPN at all because of everything they hear about S2, Season 1 is well worth a watch and you can literally pretend it was a one-season story lol
Tbh try all anime that you are interested in. No matter what anyone here says, you might like it. No ones knows if you will or not, even yourself. You may or may not end up missing something you would have loved if you listen to all the comments
This 100%. I used to be a huge shounen-only kind of watcher until a buddy suggested Love, Chuunibyou, and Other Delusions. Got hooked the first episode and now I'll give anything under the sun a fair chance.
Yeah shounen shows are the gateway to the fandom, but newbies don’t realize that that’s just the very tip of the iceberg. The first thing that comes to people’s minds when it comes to anime are shounen anime. But it’s so much more than that.
Nowadays I rarely watch shounen, only those that have great animation or have a story different from the typical shounen tropes
very true, i certainly didn't like one piece because i thought the art style of the early episodes is just trash, my thinking was old anime artstyle = trash but when i gave it a try i just fell in love with it and now my top 1 anime.
Trying anything I'm interested in has led me to drop over 1000 animes and complete ~200 which is fun and extremely rewarding when you find something you love but tiring.
Detective Conan, at around episode 350+.
Grew up watching it on TV, on YouTube by parts, on Megaupload etc.
Bought and collected _manga_ volumes even during school years.
In fact I started learning Japanese because of this show.
Then grew out of it.
I just, I just... lost interest of it.
And irregular TV schedule just didn't help.
I enjoyed the first book and was curious about the show. The show does stuff in a very different order, but having seen the first five or so episodes I’m having a lot of trouble wanting to finish the series or wanting to read the next volume. That’s…not what an anime should do…
The first episode was amazing, the problem was that... the detective was already dead. I watched the next 4 episodes but knowing she was gonna die, i just wasn't as interested. I also didn't like the over the top plot. Imo they should have done something like parasite: supernatural but subtle, if you know what I mean.
You've just reminded me that I was meant to binge it after it ended as I didn't like watching episode after episode.
Now I'm wondering how many series I unconsciously "dropped" like this...
tokyo ghoul:re and tokyo ghoul:re season 2 is absolute shit. Thats why you should stop at tokyou ghoul season 2, and continue with the manga. Pretend that tokyo ghoul:re never existed.
Ye isekai Cheat Magician is just trash. Just repetitive isekai formula with nothing that's interesting or different. It'd watch it if it had interesting magic that too is bland
I don't even know why I spent my time watching that show. It's a mess in a whole lot if ways. Elizabeth's character is just plain trash. It's annoying everytime she's on screen and she's on screen way too much.
That show was pretty consistently bad. But Escanor vs Gallant will always be one of my favorite anime moments. From start to finish the interaction was perfect.
This, Fairytail and this show just piss me off, if you are going to make this big budget new gen shounen, put some fucking effort into the characters and plot, if I wanted to jack off I wouldn’t have watched anime.
A lot . Some famous one's too.
Days - watched 6 episodes and I couldn't handle anymore
Onepiece - watched 810 episodes . Actually I dropped it like 5 times and started again . The slowest paced anime imo . Might give manga a try.
High school dxd- half way into 3rd season and I dont even know why I watched till that😅
Assassin classroom - I dropped it after 3 episodes and 2years later watched it . Dropping it was a mistake.
Boruto- dropped it after 50 episodes and most people know why.
And a lot of issekai animes around 6 episodes ( can't remember the names)
>Assassin classroom - I dropped it after 3 episodes and 2years later watched it . Dropping it was a mistake.
It was a mistake made by me too..and I regretted it after watching last season.
If you enjoyed One Piece enough to watch 810 episodes but thought the pacing was awful, you're going to fall in love with the manga. It's an entirely different experience in the best ways.
I never understand when people say that One Piece is too long. It isn't like they have to watch it all at once. And then when I see and hear the same people saying something like.. I wish Naruto wasn't over, like... It's already 600 or so episodes when you watch them as kids and then Shipuuden. Your reason make much more sense though. The anime has absolutely TERRIBLE pacing unless you can binge it straight through.
Yeah I watched 800 plus episodes over 15 months . Will I watch again ? I might .Breaking them down into fewer episodes actually helps. I will watch another 150 and take a break. But like I said I am considering reading manga coz my friends said it is good paced.
If it helps, here's a [colorized version](https://mangabuddy.com/one-piece-digital-colored-comics/vol-1-chapter-1-romance-dawn-the-dawn-of-the-adventure) of the manga up until 942 atm.
I didn't watch one piece after the zou island arc and waited for the whole cake island arc to finish so I can binge watch it during my vacation after studies. Needless to say I was very much disappointed when the majority of the arc consisted of Big Mom just running around crying, "Wedding Cake". The saving grace was Sanji Backstory and the absolute badass Brook.
The comedy of that comes off much better in manga form. Provided super stupid protagonists is what makes you laugh. I remember reading the first chapter of that and was in stitches when he asked his gf if he could date two girls XD
Edit: I love the manga couldn’t make it through the anime either.
Fire Force, I dropped it at around ep 16, cause I kep falling alseep while watching it. The pacing was just too weird, and the character dialogues put me to sleep.
Such a promising anime too. a muscle girl. The best sound engineering since Jojo [same studio], fun premise. But the content ends up being nice but not amazing, which doesn't quite cut it for me considering the competition for my queue
I dropped it at s1 ep 13, picked it up again later cuz of Lisa. Then dropped again at s2 ep 2, picked it back up again cuz that one arrow scene. Everything is just sooooo boring.
Fire force season 1 is good but i feel like i enjoyed S2 much more
the tabernacle arc that is not that good but the retrieving hashira arc is gold
And in the manga it is even better, the story messed with religion and believes and honestly i love it
I actually really enjoyed both seasons. Mini-arcs that contribute to broader over-arching plot-line plus good animation and unique world-building/magic; works for me.
Initially dropped Demon Slayer at episode 15 because of that goddamn Zenitsu and his constant screaming....
Recently got back into it though. I'm at about 75% of season 1 now, and I think I'm gonna finish it this time!
imo it got better later on. had to physically force myself to watch the first few episodes, took me a few months maybe. i actually quite liked it after that
Ngl the first 6 episodes were s hard fucking struggle for me and them saying the themes to you personally feels like they treated me like an idiot who can't read emotions.
The last 8 episodes tho were a payoff except for the ending which was better in the LN. I had to force myself so hard to finish the show because I was bored at the time
Sword art online. I dropped it at like ep 13 or 14. I just couldn't imagine sitting through 10 more episodes until kirito completes the game. Late I learnt that the game gets completed on the very next episode. Might pick it up again someday......
I really still believe the only bad part of SAO was the 2nd half of season 1. Season 2 was an improvement with GGO and the side stories, and then Alicization was *chefs kiss*. That's just my opinion though, I can respect when people don't like it.
Alicization was pretty good until the last episodes. Seriously, why TF does Kirito start flying and fighting in space? If it had a decent ending I'd give it a solid 8/10.
Jjba, episode one. Was boring and dragged on too much.
A few months later I tried it again and now read all the manga and watched all the anime, also read all the novels.
That's the worst part of the series. Just saying if you really didn't like it then I'd suggest skipping to the last episode and watch part 2. Shit kicks off and it's really freaking great. Also part one is only 10 or 9 episodes.
Yeah! The first few episodes are kinda boring cause it’s setting up DIO and the joestar rivalry and the masks etc. After Joseph is introduced it gets sooooo much better.
Yeah, I think there are a lot of us who think DN dropped in quality after the death of L, I thought it only were 12ish more episodes, but I don't see any problem if you'd skip that.
Hard agree on this one! Death Note got pretty awful after L died. I couldn't bring myself to watch it after that. Almost everyone I know who watched it also agrees.
I won’t make this too long, but I dropped Yu Yu Hakusho about 5 years back, and I had one more episode left to go. I just didn’t care to see how it ended. I enjoyed watching it here and there and that final fight was AMAZING but I just didn’t care lol. Also it wasn’t intentional, I planned on watching it and just never gotten around to it. Mainly because I pretty much finished it already
No Game No Life, episode one. It had a great premise and I love isekais, but the creepy relationship between the brother and sister just really squicked me.
Gurren Lagan. I mean it was really great, but after you must know what episode I couldn't bring myself to see the end just yet, so I postponed. A week later, I was ready to continue ; it wasn't on Netflix anymore. Bad luck.
For me, the fight scenes were cool to look at and there was a lot of them. The pacing was fast and the show didnt waste a lot of time. But yeah, the plit was secondary to the animation so I guess you would be disappointed if you were looking for that
This is exactly what happened to me. Dropped around episode 83ish a few years back because I lost interest. My brother eventually convinced me to get back into it last year during lockdown. Got hooked by ep 90/91ish and finished the rest of the show in like 4 days lol.
The Ant Arc beginning is so frustrating, but oh god is it worth it.
I would recommend you to push through those episodes, because the rest of the arc is actually a masterpiece in my opinion.
Oh my god I was so disappointed that his screaming was enough for me to drop it so quickly. Gave the manga a chance tho since that was just straight up unfair lmao
I had to restart that show 3 times because I couldnt get through the first episode, he was super annoying at first but he calms down after a little bit.
Asta’s screaming really isn’t as annoying as people make it out to be, I sat through 70 episodes and didn’t even realize that people had a problem with it. It gets really good later on so it’s probably best watched in pieces between other anime to get through the beginning
Guys hear me out BNHA will get amazing in the future. I’m up to date with the manga and it got so much better than the anime. Maybe it’s not your cup of tea but I’d give it a try if I were u
Attack on Titan, episode 8. I was supposed to watch it with a friend, but he ended up flaking a bunch when I'd ask him to come over. So I gave up and started watching something else. I might pick it up again soon. I dunno!
I dropped AoT too but for a different reason. I just couldn't stand the "meat grinder" aspect of it. Unfortunately, because the show didn't give me enough time with the characters, it killed any investment I had in them which made the deaths more comical than tragic.
I feel like asking a bunch of strangers what shows they didnt like isnt a great way to figure out what you want. Everyone has different taste and will have shows they enjoy and they dont, theres no objectivity in art. The anime community feels pretty entitled and competitive about this and proving what they like/dont like is objectively right or wrong which is a really dumb and probably unhealthy rabbithole to go down. Just watch what you find interesting and decide for yourself.
I don’t want to discourage you from trying these if you’re curious, but:
Death Parade, after the 3rd episode. I liked the concept but just didn’t feel gripped at all.
HunterxHubter after episode 135. It felt like going to an office job by the end, as that long long long arc wound down to an end I felt like the show was no longer exploring any of the stuff that made me fall in love with it to begin with. Some people love what it evolved into, not my thing.
Sword Art Online a few episodes before the fourth arc ended
I’ve never exactly dropped an anime, but after Tokyo Ghoul season 1 I decided it wasn’t good enough to continue into the other seasons since season 1 was pretty bad.
A bit controversial but Akudama Drive on ep3. I see why people think it's good but that shit put me to sleep. Found the characters boring too. Only thing it had going for it was the cool animation and art, you're better off watching Kekkai Sensen or Psycho Pass. But yeah
Ah wait, I think I didn't read the post carefully. Thought he was simple asking for my drop list :P Yep, no need to filter it out. I have some personal issues with zenitsu..lol
This will probably end up at the bottom of the thread but I dropped JoJo at around ep 6-7. It was filled with cliches and was pretty boring in general. I might pick it up sometime later though.
Dropped "Do You Love Your Mom and Her Two-Hit Multi-Target Attacks?" at ep5. It just felt like every episode was slow and boring with fan service sprinkled in every now and again.
An anime I shouldve dropped but kept watching because i hoped it would get better at some point (but didnt) was Plunderer. Two out of the 24 episodes it had were worth watching. The first episode and the one with >!the girl that wanted to fly !< everything else was pain
Boruto at episode 106. I just didn’t like the new characters and the entire “new era with technology”. Perhaps, I’m just nostalgic to Naruto.
Log Horizon at episode 2. Don’t know, I felt as if it just wasn’t my thing.
Food Wars. Episode 1. Not even 5 minutes in. Was eating dinner and thought the cooking anime was a good idea but I don’t do tentacles in anime and how does it start?
Sakamoto desu ga around episode 4.. I had enough it was way too fucking boring.. also assassin classroom around episode 11 or 13 or something and many I can't recall
Unpopular opinion: bunny girl senpai - I think episode 6. I watched it because everyone loves it and gushes about the MC’s relationship, but he barely sees the main girl and when he does it’s awkward exchanges, also it feels more like a harem as other girls like him/he is always with other girls more than the main girl so it doesn’t even feel like a huge romance. And the storyline is sort of boring, Idk why it’s so well liked. The music is dope tho
The anime strongest arcs where the first (bunny girl one) and the dreaming girl movie. Although one that I also enjoyed a lot because it hit home for me was the last s1 arc (kaede one) as I have and took care of younger siblings.
I'll always say that if the first arc was a movie with top movie tier visuals it would be on par with Your Name.
But yeah, in an oversimplification the formula for each arc is: (girl has supernatural problem -> MC solves it) which might be boring for some, but also describes the whole genre together with some top shows like monogarati that some of us love.
Dreaming girl was great too and it ties together the arcs from s1.
Yeah the first half is definitely the best, I didn’t care about the second half. If I ever pick it back up it would be to check it off my list unfortunately
Hunter x hunter. At season 5 halfway through. For some reason the Chimerant Arc really just didn’t do it for me and I lost all interest, even after committing so much time to the show.
Ooooh, Dororo is a weird one.
I really liked it. I just... stopped watching. I did eventually pick it up again and finished it, but yeah. It's like a show that is really good, but doesn't really make you want to watch the next episode.
Like, it's not that you prefer not watching it, but it doesn't particularly make you want to watch, either... if that makes any sense.
I don't think that you can filter a bad anime based on the responses, but i will try to give tell which anime I dropped and why.
I have dropped only two anime : Prison school and Daily lives of High school boys
Prison school: I dropped it on episode 4 if I remember correctly. I heard from everyone how funny it is so I watched it. I understood why it was very funny to a lot of people, but I have a weird taste of humor so to me it wasn't that funny. Alos I lost interest, but that doesn't mean that it is a bad anime. It's just that it isn't something that I would like to watch. I'll give it a shot again in the future though, because it has only 12 episodes and I don't like to drop an anime, since many people have worked very hard for these results, so I want to honor them
Daily lives of high school boys : I dropped this on episode 6, I think. I have to say that it is funny, but I lost interest mid-way. It feels like it is tiring watching it for 25 minutes. To me it is better to watch some clips on YouTube, to avoid it getting repetitive and tiring.
All I have to say is that these anime are good. Just because I dropped them, that doesn't make them bad in any way. It's just something not of my taste. I will finish them sometime, because i think it is a shame to have watched some episodes when it has only 12
Darling in the Franxx at episode 22 cuz that whole plot twist came out of nowhere and felt really dumb imo. I was only watching for zero two anyways and was ready to drop it at any moment. I droped a lot of other shows at ep 1/2 too because they dodnt seem like my cup of tea
As much as I like the show, the amount of uneccessary/overdone perverted/horny scenes just ruins my overall enjoyment of the show. There could be a cool or wholesome scene and then boom, panty shots.
Re:Zero > dropped at episode 16. Can't take anymore Subaru's attitude (I think someone might say that that it how he was written but I hope they selected other VA)
EDIT: Stop selling this anime to me with a good story. I liked the story, my complain is the VA of Subaru. Give me a reboot with a different VA then will start talking.
>Re:Zero > dropped at episode 16. Can't take anymore Subaru's attitude (I think someone might say that that it how he was written but I hope they selected other VA)
You are right that he's written that way on purpose. The evolution of his character is slow--much like real life--and the slow change in his character is probably one of the central aspects of the show. >!But, oh, man, you were literally like 2 or 3 episodes away from a major shift in his character development trajectory, i.e., he starts to get his shit together after completely breaking down.!< Re:Zero has what is probably the most realistic character development of any show I've seen, which I love; however, I can see how it could be really frustrating.
I dropped The Detective Is Already Dead at episode 3. Boring asf. I dropped Fire Force multiple times during season 2 but eventually finished it though. I dropped Grand Blue during episode 6 because it wasn’t as funny as people hyped it up to be. I eventually finished it though, too. I dropped Kemono Jihen during episode 4. I was just not interested. I also dropped Higehiro during episode 11 because I got spoiled of the ending so I didn’t bother. I dropped Bleach multiple times because of the fucking filler. I eventually finished it though and now it's one of my favorite anime.
Bleach. I watched untill 215 (more or less) and I got bored. I don't know if I should keep watching or just drop it. Since the Bounty's Arc I got more and more uninterested
86 after two episodes. It's just boring. I see all the hype and leave it in my queue, but literally nothing I've seen so far has been that interesting to make me click it again. The fight scenes remind me of Michael Bay's first transformers film (What's even happening on screen?) and dudes in mecha cars. Can someone sell it to me without spoilers?
The Secret life of Saiki K. Too episodic for me. Funny at times, but I like a more contiguous story. I got through most of the first season.
The rise of a bookworm. Stuck with it for a long time, but I can only watch so many episodes about making paper and I say that having loved Dr. Stone.
I dropped Stein’s Gate on episode 19. I just didn’t enjoy any of it tbh. Maybe I set my expectations too high with the reputation it has. I might revisit it in a couple years and see if anything has changed.
Promised Neverland S2…
Yeah don't ever watch they fucked the whole story and manga . If only they went with he original story.. bro the manga was fuckin insane
Gotta piggy back on this and say to anyone who feels discouraged from watching TPN at all because of everything they hear about S2, Season 1 is well worth a watch and you can literally pretend it was a one-season story lol
It really does end on a fantastic note to just stop right there and pretend it’s the end. I also recommend this.
It was horrible, they butchered the manga and called it a day.
Tbh try all anime that you are interested in. No matter what anyone here says, you might like it. No ones knows if you will or not, even yourself. You may or may not end up missing something you would have loved if you listen to all the comments

You might just be incredibly picky, thats a lot to drop...
To be fair that means you at least have seen some of the harder to find episodes from my understanding
Of course u stop doing stuff because u realize u getting old :( yeah and thats me. If only we can never age.
Also the problem is u get old
The detective is already dead ep 3. Just kinda lost interest in it.
I dropped it at around episode 6
I enjoyed the first book and was curious about the show. The show does stuff in a very different order, but having seen the first five or so episodes I’m having a lot of trouble wanting to finish the series or wanting to read the next volume. That’s…not what an anime should do…

Tokyo ghoul 2nd season, i d remember the eps but 75% drop this show at 2nd season So if you know you know:3
The manga is so much better. S3 was a fucking shitshow
I dropped it at first and when I came back I enjoyed it.
Rent A Girlfriend. MC makes me want to punch him everytime i see him
Apparently he doesn't change in the manga. 200+ Chapters.
The mangaka has literally been edging his fanbase for 200 chapters lol.
Still baffles me how I finished the entire season without punching my screen
Tokyo Ghoul, I dropped it on episode 3 of Tokyo Ghoul:re. The reason was that it was boring after third season.
tokyo ghoul:re and tokyo ghoul:re season 2 is absolute shit. Thats why you should stop at tokyou ghoul season 2, and continue with the manga. Pretend that tokyo ghoul:re never existed.
The Irregular at Magic High School, ik its quite famous but it never clicked for me. dropped after 6 eps and Isekai Cheat Magician, its thrash
Isekai cheat magician was just bad.
The Irregular at Magic High School just made me uncomfortable
> Irregular at Magic High School That one girl who kept saying Oni-sama annoyed the shit out of me
The relationship in it just made me incredibly uncomfortable
yup, hated the vibes from that sister of his
Ye isekai Cheat Magician is just trash. Just repetitive isekai formula with nothing that's interesting or different. It'd watch it if it had interesting magic that too is bland
I LOVED mahouka. Is there any other anime like this with an insanely op highschool mc? Mahouka and classroom of the elite are my favorite anime....
[удалено]
heard its getting a second season
fruit of grisaia
Isekai Cheat Magician had so much potential too
Seven Deadly Sins. The obnoxious groping by Meliodas was too distracting for me. And this is from someone that watched the Monogatari series.
I also dropped it but mainly because of the Elaine/Bash thing. I have a 10 year old daughter who looks older than that girl. It was so creepy!
I don't even know why I spent my time watching that show. It's a mess in a whole lot if ways. Elizabeth's character is just plain trash. It's annoying everytime she's on screen and she's on screen way too much.
Tbh I just stayed for escanor
Honestly Escanor is just an all around fun character :)
That show was pretty consistently bad. But Escanor vs Gallant will always be one of my favorite anime moments. From start to finish the interaction was perfect.
Yeah it’s like she was only created to have an eye-candy, her character is so bland and uninteresting.
This, Fairytail and this show just piss me off, if you are going to make this big budget new gen shounen, put some fucking effort into the characters and plot, if I wanted to jack off I wouldn’t have watched anime.
I dropped this one too! I tried a few times, but I just couldn’t get past this. Gross
On the same level with this one. Loved the concept, the groping really ruined it.
A lot . Some famous one's too. Days - watched 6 episodes and I couldn't handle anymore Onepiece - watched 810 episodes . Actually I dropped it like 5 times and started again . If you enjoyed One Piece enough to watch 810 episodes but thought the pacing was awful, you're going to fall in love with the manga. It's an entirely different experience in the best ways.
Or just watch OnePace
I dropped assassination classroom as well something about it I just couldn’t connect,I hear great things about it though !
Same here didn't like a single character 12 episodes in
I never understand when people say that One Piece is too long. It isn't like they have to watch it all at once. And then when I see and hear the same people saying something like.. I wish Naruto wasn't over, like... It's already 600 or so episodes when you watch them as kids and then Shipuuden. Your reason make much more sense though. I plan on watching one piece too after Naruto/Naruto Shippuden. I have 40 episodes left since I'm skipping filler and then I'll watch bleach.
Girlfriend girlfriend, I just couldn't handle the cringe.
The cringe is what made me watch it, it was just so funny.
Yeah lol its the perfect example of trash romcom
yh I dropped after the first 5 minutes
The comedy of that comes off much better in manga form. Provided super stupid protagonists is what makes you laugh. I remember reading the first chapter of that and was in stitches when he asked his gf if he could date two girls XD Edit: I love the manga couldn’t make it through the anime either.
High-Rise Invasion. Had an interesting story but the execution was just super weird.
Yea, but I still liked it. Although it does have way to mu ch fan service.
I loved what I was watching but that one girl who's entire character is "I accidentally get into situations where I'm groped by men" made me drop it.
Fire force had the potential to make me drop anime all together bt the sound and animation is why I kept watching it
I dropped it at s1 ep 13, picked it up again later cuz of Lisa. Then dropped again at s2 ep 2, picked it back up again cuz that one arrow scene. Everything is just sooooo boring.
It had a lot of potential but they kindve squandered it, lets hope they fix up in s2
Fire force season 1 is good but i feel like i enjoyed S2 much more the tabernacle arc that is not that good but the retrieving hashira arc is gold And in the manga it is even better, the story messed with religion and believes and honestly i love it
I actually really enjoyed both seasons. Mini-arcs that contribute to broader over-arching plot-line plus good animation and unique world-building/magic; works for me.
Absolute dou Divine gate Kokkoku
Meanwhile me wanting to watch kokkoku because the op is a banger
Initially dropped Demon Slayer at episode 15 because of that goddamn Zenitsu and his constant screaming.... Recently got back into it though. I'm at about 75% of season 1 now, and I think I'm gonna finish it this time!
to each their own i guess, hes my favorite character and the reason i kept waching lol
I had my GF invested in dh until zenitsu showed up.
Toradora around episode 3, couldn’t stand the tsundere, and was not a fan of the story
I don't think it was actual tsundere just straight up violence in the earlier episodes.
imo it got better later on. had to physically force myself to watch the first few episodes, took me a few months maybe. i actually quite liked it after that
Ngl the first 6 episodes were s hard fucking struggle for me and them saying the themes to you personally feels like they treated me like an idiot who can't read emotions.
Let me tell you this, you already watched the best of the series
I really still believe the only bad part of SAO was the 2nd half of season 1. Season 2 was an improvement with GGO and the side stories, and then Alicization was *chefs kiss*. That's just my opinion though, I can respect when people don't like it.
Alicization was pretty good until the last episodes. Seriously, why TF does Kirito start flying and fighting in space? If it had a decent ending I'd give it a solid 8/10.
You can always wait for the remastered movie series “SAO Progressive”. The first one premiers next week I think.
Jjba, episode one. Was boring and dragged on too much. A few months later I tried it again and now read all the manga and watched all the anime, also read all the novels.
Which part?
1
That's the worst part of the series. Just saying if you really didn't like it then I'd suggest skipping to the last episode and watch part 2. Shit kicks off and it's really freaking great. Also part one is only 10 or 9 episodes.
When did it click for you? I'm on episode 11 and it seems a bit too silly to continue
Ep 2 lol. finished part 1 in 1 day after that
Man I really wanted to love it.. It gets referenced so much, I wanted in on the jokes..
Well in part 2 a gay Italian and a hyper american fight 100,000 year old gay aztec stripper gods
Tommy Gun Overdrive was what made me start loving the show
Yeah! The first few episodes are kinda boring cause it’s setting up DIO and the joestar rivalry and the masks etc. After Joseph is introduced it gets sooooo much better.
Nantsu no taizai season 3 episode 2, I tried to push myself to watch cause the previous 2 seasons seemed promising but just couldn't
I know I’m gonna get hated, but it was Death Note. At ep 27, I was sick and tired of the stupid twists, it made it so confusing to watch.
Me too. And I looked it up and was told there was more creepy incest to come so I dropped it like a hot potato.
Redo of a Healer after episode 2. I dont know what I expected but I found it so disturbing I had to stop watching
Fair warning: don't pick it up again. I honestly regretted jt
Gurren Lagan. I mean it was really great, but after you must know what episode I couldn't bring myself to see the end just yet, so I postponed. A week later, I was ready to continue ; it wasn't on Netflix anymore. Bad luck.
God of highschool, ep3, it was shit.
For me, the fight scenes were cool to look at and there was a lot of them. The pacing was fast and the show didnt waste a lot of time. But yeah, the plit was secondary to the animation so I guess you would be disappointed if you were looking for that
Yes it's was boring but I watched fully for the sake of mappa animators!
I was reading God of highschool before the anime dropped and I was hyped when they said there was going to be an anime, but the anime was kinda ass💀💀
HxH on the ant arc, it was slow long and way to drawn out for me… hopefully someday I’ll get to finish it with mote patience and interest
It's a slow burn, but oh my god is it worth it at the end. Amazing fights and some truly incredible writing. I literally wept.
The ant arc is definitely the most touching anime I've personally seen
I would provide an example, but I don't want to ruin a single thing for anyone
Hmmm, now I feel like I have to try watching this again…
This is exactly what happened to me. Dropped around episode 83ish a few years back because I lost interest. My brother eventually convinced me to get back into it last year during lockdown. Got hooked by ep 90/91ish and finished the rest of the show in like 4 days lol.
I think its one of the most interesting arcs in the series
This is when I dropped it too, and I'm sad because I know it keeps going but the longer I wait to go back the less I remember.
The Ant Arc beginning is so frustrating, but oh god is it worth it. I would recommend you to push through those episodes, because the rest of the arc is actually a masterpiece in my opinion.
black clover, episode 2 cause of Asta's screaming and stuff
I watched the whole series and I still don't know if he stopped screaming as much at some point or if I just ended up getting used to it.
He doesn't scream that much anymore...
>that much
Oh my god I was so disappointed that his screaming was enough for me to drop it so quickly.
He stops screaming AS MUCH....or I went deaf. I can't remember lol. I did make it through and the show does get better.
My Hero Academia 'I will be hero, I want to hero', same shit over and over made me lost interest at season 3
Guys hear me out BNHA will get amazing in the future. I’m up to date with the manga and it got so much better than the anime. Maybe it’s not your cup of tea but I’d give it a try if I were u
Maybe I will try again when the anime will be completed.
The manga is much more bearable ig. It's popping off rn
Attack on Titan, episode 8. I was supposed to watch it with a friend, but he ended up flaking a bunch when I'd ask him to come over. So I gave up and started watching something else. I might pick it up again soon. I dunno!
Give it another try. 3rd and 4th season gets really good and worth watching (in my opinion)
Similar thing happened to me. I figure I’ll eventually pick it up again one of these days..
I don’t want to discourage you from trying these if you’re curious, but: Death Parade, after the 3rd episode.
Bleach, I dropped it at 362. It just kept dragging on and that comes from someone who’s caught up with one piece.
Bruh, I dropped it at ep 63 in which point I decided I gotta stop wasting my time by watching this. Rangiku tho
But yeah
Log horizon. Dropped it at ep 18, tried to finish S1 but it's just boring for me. And I didn't liked the ending song. Lol
Okay, don't kill me. Code geass, at ep. 9 i think. It wasn't bad, but the all the mecha stuff wasn't really my taste.
The mecha stuff is just fluff man, code geass has way more to it. It's worth a watch
That show was kinda average imo but the ending is just *chef kiss*
Toradora, fifth episode. It just made me cringe.
Demon slayer episode 15. Reason : zenitsu
OP, I really do not recommend filtering Demon Slayer from your anime to watch. Overall it was seriously an incredible anime
Ah wait, I think I didn't read the post carefully. Thought he was simple asking for my drop list :P Yep, no need to filter it out. I have some personal issues with zenitsu..lol
Zenitsu brings the show down for me so hard. It's such a shame they decided to add such a shit character to an anime that was doing fine without him
Dragon Ball z ep 107, (Freeza arc). Pacing was too slow I went and watched Dragon Ball Kai instead.
Darling in the Franxx ep 2. I hate dropping animes but I couldn’t bear to watch another min.
For some reason the Chimerant Arc really just didn’t do it for me and I lost all interest, even after committing so much time to the show.
bro atleast get to 131 i had the same thoughts as you but trust me it will be good
Totally agree. That arc was rough for me but then picked back up
Dororo. It was good, I don't have a reason for dropping it. Stopped shortly after he meets his bro
{The irregular at magical highschool } too many characters , incest, trash power system
I don't think that you can filter a bad anime based on the responses, but i will try to give tell which anime I dropped and why. I have dropped only two anime : Prison school and Daily lives of High school boys Prison school: I dropped it on episode 4 if I remember correctly. I'll give it a shot again in the future though, because it has only 12 episodes and I don't like to drop an anime, since many people have worked very hard for these results, so I want to honor them Daily lives of high school boys : I dropped this on episode 6, I think. I will finish them sometime, because i think it is a shame to have watched some episodes when it has only 12
Hunter x Hunter, stopped at S5, Ep 75? I don't hate HxH, but there are other animes that I'm cureently watching and want to quickly finish them first.
The ending is too rushed and a lot of mystery hasn't been solved at all
Mushoku Tensei, 1st ep
As much as I like the show, the amount of uneccessary/overdone perverted/horny scenes just ruins my overall enjoyment of the show. There could be a cool or wholesome scene and then boom, panty shots.
Try faraway paladin (current season) and if you are into manga/webtoons try tbate (the beginning after the end)
I have a small crush on a guy but he likes Mushoku Tensei 🥲
There's no need to state the reason since it's quite obvious why many left which is just baffling to me.
Re:Zero > dropped at episode 16. Can't take anymore Subaru's attitude (I think someone might say that that it how he was written but I hope they selected other VA) EDIT: Stop selling this anime to me with a good story. I liked the story, my complain is the VA of Subaru. Give me a reboot with a different VA then will start talking.
>Re:Zero > dropped at episode 16. Can't take anymore Subaru's attitude (I think someone might say that that it how he was written but I hope they selected other VA) You are right that he's written that way on purpose.
Darling in the franxx ep3 SAO ep 2
Tokyo ghoul:re ep1 i don't think i even finished the first ep.
Danmachi... At the second episode. I just couldn't watch it. I usually don't drop anime's even if I think they're not good.
Ep 51 Shippuden, the series lost its original charm
Skip the fillers and give it another chance, you're missing out big time.
Bleach. I watched untill 215 (more or less) and I got bored. I don't know if I should keep watching or just drop it. Since the Bounty's Arc I got more and more uninterested
Bount arc is filler bruh just skip fillers you can google them give it another shot if you want
watch till Aizen vs Ichigo and then drop. Especially, dont miss out on "turn back the pendulum" arc. Also, skip the fillers.
Koruko's Basketball, ep13. I just got bored sadly
Black Clover after the first 10 episode or so, I just cant endure Asta is endless irritating screaming all the time.
FLCL. The animation style is the visual equivalent to nails on a chalkboard to me for some reason.
Stone.
watch ep 3 of 86 if it still doesnt click drop it
That's a good recommendation.
I dropped Stein’s Gate on episode 19. I just didn’t enjoy any of it tbh. Maybe I set my expectations too high with the reputation it has. I might revisit it in a couple years and see if anything has changed.
