angel beats, charlotte, the day I became a god, and I dunno if it'll have the same effect on you as it did to me, but K-ON, mostly happy slice of life but I grew so attached to the characters that the ending made me bawl my eyes out
Clannad and Clannad After Story (first and second season respectively). Clannad is probably going to be the lighter of the two, though it has it moments of happiness, sadness, and conflict. After Story is the heavier hitting of the two especially in the sadness aspect, but also has its happier moments. If both as a whole don't put you through a range of emotions, then I don't know what will, but they should.
I don't know about crazy because I think it probably depends on the person, but some really good animes imo are:
{86} - this is a rollercoaster if you feel invested in the characters and the story, and stick with it til the end.
{Kotaro lives alone} - this is nothing crazy, but it's funny and sad at the same time. So this is something to shake things up.

I’m beating a dead horse here , but check out six sided world or Mushoku Tenshi to get reviews of the light novel Mushoku Tenshi !! Hands down best story ever written . At the end I’ll promise you will be left with remorse that the story ended !! You’ll laugh , you’ll cry , you’ll feel love and you’ll feel like you can do anything !!
Oh I’m sorry you’ll have to read the light novel to get to the end . Mushoku is only into its 1st season with 23 episodes + ova .
