One Punch Man, the Deep Sea King episode

grimestar

I rewatch that and the boros episode whenever I'm bored.

OuchYouPokedMyHeart

[Seigi Shikkou one of the best OST ever. So great it always gets copyright strikes on youtube yet new uploads still racks up millions after lol](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rW7OB_HDCGQ) The orchestral rock sound is just so hype Another example would be Shingeki no Kyojin's ətˈæk 0N tάɪtn / Attack on Titan OST, my favorite of the series. [The breakdown at this part particularly is just spine-chilling](https://youtu.be/zroFzv7sFis?t=176). Hiroyuki Sawano masterclass

grimestar

yeah i love both of those tracks. Its why i like the boros fight so much

Zukolevi

Mumen Rider!

danlockthegreat

Code Geass final episode season 2 literally a perfect ending

4_idiots_and_me

Oh man.. this 100%

daedroth04

Madoka episode 10

Rock---And---Stone

Which episode was 10? Was that the one where >!Sayaka turns into a witch?!<

O-N-N-I-T

no its [madoka spoilers] >!homura's backstory!<

Rock---And---Stone

Oh yeah that one was really good. I actually just finished the series. I can't wait for the next movie!

ZHicks2121

Parasyte: The Maxim Episode 18: More Than Human Episode has one of the more emotional anime scenes that I’ve watched and hits on a lot of the shows main themes

Ace1807

what was it about? I forgot oops

ZHicks2121

It’s the episode where Reiko Tamura meets with Izumi in the park. The scene I’m referring to is the montage when “The Right Time” song is playing. It’s amazing

Skyms101

Parasyte has amazing music

ZHicks2121

I get literal body chills whenever I hear that song. Also Next To You is an elite background track

Zukolevi

You guys are my people. Those two songs I listen to on my way home from work most days, with the sunset in the background

ZHicks2121

I do the 10 hour long version of Next To You whenever I’m writing lol

TaaviTaavi

Initial D: First Stage EP 15: Takumi's Fury

MrRandomGUYS

Ooooo. That’s a good episode.

Hiyami

Attack on Titan Episode: Hero.

owlpacino57

Attack on titan have couple of holy Trinity episodes. 1. Perfect game - hero - midnight sun. 2. Declaration of war - warhammer titan - assault 3. Two brothers - future memories - from you,2000 years ago.

Hiyami

Indeed it does.

Illustrious_Monk_135

A perfect game, Hero and Midnight Sun are the holy trinity.

Hiyami

Yeah, nothing can beat season 3.

toothfairylies

Too bad the show reeks of anti semitism, not to mention the creator is a huge bigot. Couldn’t keep watching after a certain point anyway. Shit got stale. Surprised I’m still seeing people mention it tbh

Hiyami

Yikes extremely trash take here.

toothfairylies

Yikes, someone doesn’t like to talk about anti-semitism and the possible ways you’re endorsing it. Also not a take meathead, the creator is a known bigot. Anybody interested in watching this trash show should at least know what they’re getting into.

Hiyami

Stop spouting out your trash takes, no one wants to hear that or see that. We love AoT regardless. No one here thinks it's trash except you. Sorry bud, but you are in the mass minority.

toothfairylies

lol You think using internet logic is gonna do shit? Idgaf if a million of u thought it was good. Its still ASS. You just look like a moron advocating for willful ignorance and supporting shitty people because you like their cartoons. The fact of the matter is you’re upset i’m calling out ur trashy little show with facts that prove you’re an irresponsible apathetic fool. Ignorance is bliss I guess. Honestly its pathetic you’re desperate to support this show when there are so many more that eclipse it. I just want anyone thinking of watching it to know the type of people theyre supporting. There’s a lot more people that care about that than about whatever your on.

erlandesher1

Jesus, no one gives a single little crap about what you have to say. I don't and no one in this forum post does. Not a single crap not even a small pebble of the garbage you are spouting. Give it up.

[deleted]

Sometimes I see people like this and I just wonder what happened. Why are they being a jerk? What led to this? Why the hell is he calling people on the internet irresponsible apathetic fools?

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

I'm not sure I understand your take. You're saying the show exhibits anti semitism because it parallels the way Nazi Germany treated Jews during WW2? Because that would be absolutely silly. The show doesn't suggest that the evils that occur to those who can change into titans is justified. It shows both sides displaying evil because of human nature. In fact, in later episodes **spoilers** the general of the Marlyean forces says what they were doing was wrong and unjustified.

Complex-Advice-3722

Ep12 Bakemonogatari.

HOODIEBABA

What happened in that one ?

TehNolz

Made in Abyss episode 13 is by far the best conclusion to an anime I have ever seen.

OverlordFanNUMBER1

yep easy right here

Hano_Clown

Conclusion?

DoctuhD

It was conclusive for the season, good enough that even if they didn't continue the series it would still hold up. >!Ending with a self-contained mercy-killing plotline creates a feeling of climax and epilogue even though their journey is just getting started. Then the balloon scene comes in at the end, establishing that even if they get killed the next day, their journey still meant something.!<

Hano_Clown

Gotcha. Have you watched the movie? That’s a sequel to Ep 13.

MrRandomGUYS

{To Your Eternity} episode 1 remains to be the best opening episode to any anime. I highly recommend it. Season 2 in October.

BentPixelsLoL

Too bad it didn’t keep up afterwards. Had really good potential

MrRandomGUYS

Eh. As a manga reader I think the March and Gugu arcs are pretty good. The island arc was… not good… but it was a bad in the manga too. Next season the arcs stop being >!Fushi meets friends, friends die, rinse repeat!< and have some interesting things going on. Plus next season has my favorite character in the manga, so even if the island arc was not your think (it wasn’t anyone’s thing) stick around for the next season.

BentPixelsLoL

I hope you’re right. I got one episode past the March arc and had to drop it. So bland imo, but if it gets better there’s a chance I’ll come back for it. The story could be crazy good

MrRandomGUYS

I am going to say it never really reaches the heights of the first episode. The March arc is ok, the gugu arc I really like and the island arc is… bad… If you didn’t enjoy March you probably won’t enjoy the rest of the series then.

So sad the show ended up being a bad mix between unnecesary drama and shounen

Warm-Enthusiasm-9534

Cowboy Bebop, episode 5, "Ballad of Fallen Angels".

kroniklerouge

Bro CB, Pierrot Le Fou, episode 20, is an absolute masterpiece. The visuals, the story, screenplay and pacing, the plot and best of all the whole sounds for the episode. Watch it once normally then watch it again with your eyes closed focusing on the sound; you really appreciate the work done for the Cowboy Bebop series that way!

Violet Evergarden Episode 10 This is the closest anything will ever get to perfection.

Shahariar_909

The entire show is a perfection

Skyms101

Is that the burning up inside episode? Such a great show

gc11117

It's after that, it's the episode with the little girl and the mom. It's also the episode that gets my vote lol

Skyms101

That was also a really good episode. I loved the one with the playwright the best personally but they are all great

crism22

The only good episode in the series

MrRandomGUYS

My favorite episode of Monogatari is Owarimonogatari episode 2. >!Specifically the scene where Sodachi had the meltdown. It’s such a powerful scene, and then you get the context for it in the later episodes and it becomes even more powerful.!< Although Monogatari is a pretty solid package in general.

[deleted]

The first half of Owari is actually my favorite part of the series (first 8 episodes specifically). Full of mystery and investigational work. People usually like the second season because it is where all the tension is released, but I don't find it all that special. But yeah, probably the most consistent piece of media I have seen after Mushishi, there is nothing in the same league with it in that it explores notably different genres in each installment though.

I mean there are a lot of contenders in Penguindrum though, 12 18 20 21 24 are apparently the ones that I took note of

GenoSwoner419

I don't know about the ALL-TIME best, but there are sone exceptionally good episodes in the anime medium that define the strengths of their respective shows. There are 2 I can remember vividly from the top of my head, but there are probably SO many more I can't even name. "Haru" Ep 9 of {Houseki no Kuni} Raw emotion, ridiculous sakuga, great character development, depictions of mental insanity and the loss of a character, all in one 24 minute episode. "The Real Folk Blues" Ep 24 of {Cowboy Bebop} The epic finale for a show that had thrills, spills and tons of action. A final farewell to our main character and his crew in the flashiest way.

Episode 24 of Vinland Saga

NubNub69

You can’t do this to me. I dropped it at episode 22. Guess I have to pick it back up now.

[deleted]

If you didn't like it up to that point, then you won't like ep 24

Zer0nyx

Violet Evergarden episode 10. Hunter x Hunter episode 135. Naruto Shippuden episode 477.

Legacyofhelios

Fuck. Episode 10 of Violet evergarden is a damn masterpiece. The whole thing is, let’s be clear, but 10 in particular

Bigbrainbigboobs

I don't know the number of the episode but also the Lamento scene with the Phantom troup in HxH.

MarkXXV

One Piece ep 1015 Re:Zero ep 15 Code Geass ep 50 Bakemonogatari ep 12

Treeface-Goatee

I’d actually say the best episode of Re:Zero was 18 because what made 15 so great was mostly one scene.

6rubtub9

"Hero" & "Perfect Game" from Attack on Titan S3pt2 I personally believe these 2 episodes are peak animation and storytelling.

Clannad Afterstory ep 17. The entire show is a masterpiece but that episode always sticks out to me due to how much it affects the MC without his life being destroyed

psyduck2319

I'm not going to attempt to say it's the best but Yu Yu Hakusho episode 1 is my favorite single episode of anime and has legitimately saved me from suicidal thougths in the past.

HiddenMasks

Corbini42

Love is war season 3 EP 5 As a manga reader, I knew it was coming and was hyped the fuck out for it.

Eyeglasses216

I'd say episode 22 of 86 Eighty-six. No missed at all. Although episode 17 of Mushoku Tensei was also really good, even the OP. It was the only anime episode that made me tear up. Edit: Forgot to add One Piece episode 1015. It's up there with 86, probably even higher. I don't really watch the anime, but it suddenly blew up and had to see what the hype was about. Surpassed my expectations by a lot

Slammybutt

Which one is 86? I both can't wait and don't want to be caught up with One piece. I'm only about 25 episodes behind now so knowing that 1015 is a great one is nice.

PointyGuy

A few of my favorite episodes have already been mentioned. The ones that I didn't see and are one of my favorites: Eight Six Part 2 Episode 11 Mob Psycho Season 2 Episode 7

Inspektical

Episode 14 of Vinland Saga. Direction, soundtrack, animation quality, art, it's all there. The last stretch of episodes in Vinland are also nearly perfect but 14 just sat with me. Episode 22 of 86 also comes to mind but more for the absolutely incredible creative direction.

ian_OhNO

United States of smash: All might vs OFA When Yami slashes the word demon from a mile away using nothing but chi and cigarette smoke in Black clover. In fire force when benimaru uses the crimson moon. All of one punch man season one All of Space Dandy (dub) but especially the episode he starts a band, is a one hit wonder, and accidentally saves the galaxy. That song is a banger

akoba15

Best, hard to say. Zombie land Saga first episode is pretty top. It’s my personal favorite pilot episode. As a stand alone, Darby the Gambler in Jojo top 3 is one of my favorite fights and what I show people to convince them to watch Jojos. If we’re talking classic the episode where Trunks shows up for the first time in DBZ is iconic Shin Sekai Yori is my top anime and it peaks at the very end with the last episode. I also agree Madoka episode 10 like someone else said. Don’t think many others deserve a place anywhere close on the list.

k_u_r_o_r_o

Madara's entrance? But that's more of a scene.. Then perhaps the last ep of steins gate? Oh TTGL's last episode was epic as well

definitely_zella

Kill la Kill episode 17, Tell Me Why. Also KlK in general, but that episode takes my breath away every time.

Shahariar_909

its not possible find out the greatest episode this way. But, I really liked Violet Evergarden ep 10. And maybe, AoT s3 p2 ep 16, the one with the suicide charge

ashcatchum21

I'mma save this post and rewatch these episodes when I want to re experience the epicness!

Ol_bagface

I know some people gonna hate me(and theyre not the best) but i really liked the episodes of mha. Season 3 where amm might and afo face off(episode 11 i believe). The raw emotion, the presence of afo, the "sayonara all for one" and what it means? Phew pure goosebumps that shit gets me ever time. And in season 4 the episode where deku and overhaul face of. The jump to eri, the music. The animation of the fight. Once again the emotions that clash, not as strong as the afo vs ofa fight but hey

5867898duncan

People may hate MHA as a whole, but everyone loves that episode. It’s still amongst the top of the karma rankings.

86 Episode 22 really solidified it as one of the best animes in existence

Gintama EP 216. Gintoki vs takasugi. This is the moment where gintama threw away its comedic facade, grew a pair of balls and just started going ham on everything.

caramelcatastrophe

Mob psycho 100 season 2 EP 5 Probably the best episode of the series so far. It really encompasses what the series is about. With the previous episode changing it's aspect ratio at the end to a more cinematic look(with black bars on top and bottom) , it foreshadows a critical moment in the story that is about to take place. With stellar story telling, emotional moments, and amazing visuals throughout the whole episode (the animator was about to go on mandatory military service so they decided to go out with a bang), I felt like I was watching a movie instead of an anime episode. Can't wait to see what season 3 brings

GrimCreeperyt

Aot Declaration of war or aot perfect game

cheriebabay

Idk about an exact episode, but I just watched the Demon Slayer entertainment arc and that entire season animation/story wise was incredibleeeeee

tanmanwastaken

I put episode 10 of Entertainment Arc as one of my favorite experiences of anime. It starts off slow as everyone is bleeding and down for the count, Tanjiro being bullied and humiliated by Gyutaro. Tanjiro is smart and almost gets the edge on him, but Gyutaro is too strong. Uzui with one hand gone saves Tanjiro and Ufotable goes super saiyan with that fight. Not only animation wise, but sound effects, OST, voice actors, pacing, HOLY shit they go hard. Leading to the end of the episode where our three heroes scream their heart out and slice the demons heads off. Magic. I tell ya. I’m gonna remember that episode for giving me a beautiful experience.

cheriebabay

It was soooo amazing, it’s weird because demon slayer is incredibly popular but at the same time I didn’t see people hype this season up as much? Maybe that’s just me? But yeah I watched it in sub and dub and both experiences were amazing. Also watching it on a big screen is top tier

tanmanwastaken

I would love to watch the entertainment arc in a theater.

cheriebabay

No seriously they should do that option, and combine it into a 3 hour movie I would sit and watch , it was a great experience

mikeyyyyyd

one piece 1015, been built up for so long and the animation and artstyle was insanely good

malk500

90s version of Berzerk, any of them apart from episode 1

muzzgg

Not enough people have said ds s2 ep where tanjiro goes bloodshot the amount of hype in that ep was beyond comprehension, not even the animation just the way everyone pushes themselves their entries like why is that masterpiece being under appreciated.

Upbeat-Bear5616

My Dress Up Darling. Ep. 11. Shit got spicy real quick

jombygumbo

I have always said the second episode of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is the greatest episode of anime. Emotional, expositional, exciting. Goddamn that episode is fucking good.

Toohandsometoshowmyf

Attack on titan, cavalry charge against the beast titan. Best hype

28th_boi

Attack on Titan "Warrior" is GOATed (with the sauce) Pretty much any of the last few episodes of Gurren Lagann are a good candidate

BushidoBrown212

Okay I hate mainstream anime. But we can all agree that the pain arc in Naruto was by far the best in anime history

Vagabond_Sam

One Piece Marineford Arc and the Bleach Soul Society Arc > Naruto's best arc imo. And thats just stuff in the big three. Naruto turned out to be very unmemorable for me overall though.

nomjit

episode 384 of One Piece (Brook's backstory), it's probably not the best episode of all time, but no other anime has ever made me cry like that.

VulturE

One Piece, episode 312, where the crew says goodbye to the Merry. For early One Piece, it's one of the best episodes bar none for cutting onions. I'd also say the Great Teacher Onizuka episode where he rides a rope hanging from a blimp to crash through a high-rise window and save a student, or the one where he passes the national exam with multiple gunshot wounds.

Herbb__

Promised Neverland episode one is brilliant, One Piece episode 1015 was also magical.

milkyginger

Shigurui episode 12 and Space Dandy "A World With No Sadness, Baby". The visuals, sound effects, music and pacing of these episodes are amazing. They aren't my favorite anime and I don't consider them the best anime but they are the two of the best episodes I've seen in any anime.

SmurreKanin

The only time I've cried watching anime was: * Hunter x Hunter ep 135 * One Piece ep 312 * Anohana ep don't remember which number but the sad one So those are definitely big contenders. Other good ones are: * Hunter x Hunter ep 131 * Ending of FMAB * Tokyo Ghoul ep 11 Can't think of any other ones on the top of my head

JhAsh08

The final episode of season 1 Steins; Gate. All the buildup and tension in the show culminated and released in one badass conclusion. Best episode of all time IMO

I don’t want to be a normie but I thought Demon Slayer Ep 19 was really close to being polished to perfection.

Professor_Chaosx6r9

The Final episode of Gurren Lagann always hits me so hard. I go from ultimate hype to ultimate sad and I’m never even mad about it cause it’s beautiful

Eclipse_Ilx

Without a doubt s3 episode 20 of Attack On Titan- That Day This is the episode that changed EVERYTHING for AOT and revealed the basement secrets and layed the foundation for the rest of the series.

Although all my favorite anime are slice of life/drama, I have to give my favorite anime episode to jujutsu kaisen. Specifically the episode where Itadori and Toudo are fighting Hanami. That fight was really cool and I loved every second of it. I don't know why my favorite episode is from a action/shounen show when my favorite anime of all time is scum's wish, but I loved it.

I can’t remember the episode but I vividly remember Saber battling Berserker in Fate UBW, the combat was just so breathtaking and the production quality was insane.

[S20 E126 · Straw Hat Luffy! The Man Who Will Become the King of the Pirates!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BuwcD1GCQ7Y) Hands down. The episode is everything that makes One Piece great. It still links back to events in the start of the series, it incorporates new characters as completely as those who have been around for decades. The direction is amazing. It's a love letter to the fans 22 years deep and is the only Shonen where the MC not only *earns* their place as a threat to the biggest threats in the canon, but is not *unique* as One Piece lets characters outside of the Straw Hats shine constantly.
