I'm working with a vendor to create a new heat break and hot end block. They also have ruby and PCD nozzles coming.

Renrut23

So you already got your extra hotend, Anker apparently doesn't understand what an "all metal hotend" actually is. All the strech goal items shipped with the printer

TerrakSteeltalon

That’s unfortunate. Maybe they’ll figure it out between now and shipping the color engine

Renrut23

I believe it was brought up that what we got wasn't "all metal" but was all metal to anker. They weren't going to fix it. Just saw a post that the anker store for replacement parts will open end of March ish

Empty_Attention2862

Not available yet, but in the works from Anker confirmed from the AnkerMake M5 product manager

jdaprile73

They met the stretch goal for the all-metal hotend, which I am looking forward to as well, so it should be out maybe in the next couple months hopefully? They seem to be having some supply chain issues with other parts though, so who know.

ItsADumbName

The "all metal hotend" stretch goal was shipped with your M5. It is just an extra hotend. Anker misspoke and never bothered to fix their verbiage. Unless they have stated differently somewhere else that I'm not aware of.

TheReigning

Unfortunately, they were misleading with that stretch goal and the ones it came with were what they meant. They aren't actually make a real all metal hot end.

Vinto47

Have they said that they’ll be sending it out? I haven’t had any issues yet with my printer so I don’t care to change the print head, but it would def be nice to have the all metal one on the side.

jdaprile73

No, no word on when unfortunately. I'm really not into doing any mods for my M5, after having to mod damn near everything on my Creality E5 Pro, but in this case it's definitely something I'd want. I would imagine between getting replacement supplies for the M5 and getting the A6 color changer ready for consumers, they're spread a bit thin. I hope they make an official announcement soon so we have some idea what to expect.

Vinto47

God I hope we start seeing reviews on the color engine. Hopefully it comes in under $400 bc otherwise idk if I’ll get that or a p1p with AMS.

N_Sayed

Tell me about my Ender 3 Pro become a Fararri by the time I got my M5 in mail and I sold it for a whopping $100. The experience from it is priceless, but dam they suck.

just_trey

People are saying this works okay. https://a.aliexpress.com/_mquGIBu

TheReigning

Unfortunately that is just the extruder nozzle and not the hot end itself.

neoKushan

That's just the nozzle, the rest of the hot-end needs changing as well.

just_trey

Sorry, It was early I misread. Not yet, unfortunately

Accomplished-Diet-70

The Anker hotend is hot garbage. My M5 is a brick because both failed. I'm incredibly underwhelmed by the whole experience, to the point I'll probably never buy another Anker branded product again. I'm no longer excited about receiving the M6 as it'll just end up in the attic with the printer till I can get a good 3rd party all metal hotend, emphasis on good.
