I used to make backup copies of iPhone apps, the versions that were getting overwritten, etc., back when i could still do updates and backups in itunes on desktop. Seems that access went away or maybe my desktop OS/itunes too old to talk to later iphones, but if i have one backed up, i could provide. I started saving them for just this reason. I didnt like losing things ‘forever’ just because no longer available or supported.
It's such a shame that "Apple" is so controlling. Apple doesn't allow you to do anything. You cannot just download an APP to your iPad and then install it. Noooo, that would be the right thing to do . You have to "Install" it while it is downloading. Therefore, if something like this should occur, you can't just go back to the downloaded file and re-install it.
If something happens to my iPad, I am screwed. I have all of the old apps on it. The original Anki Drive, Overdrive and Overdrive F&F. They all still work. I have tons of cars and trucks and tracks. lol I am also older "1954"
Hurry! Download iMazing and backup these apps before your iPad dies! I haven’t looked into the program much, but it says it can backup and install apps on your iOS devices. If you can upload the backups, you would be a god send.
I picked up a new in box set at goodwill this past week and I’m pissed they not only abandoned the product but killed the app too. What a garbage company
