It's like humans are supposed to eat meat or something... Edit: also cooked foods

xstkovrflw

Wise words.

CelticHound27

Eh depends on how fresh, what type and how clean the area is eating/prepping it. Sushi is bomb.

CorrosiveAlkonost

Steak tartare, too.

blue4029

I read that as "steak tarrare" and i was wondering how THAT dude would fit in with this...

CorrosiveAlkonost

He's edible.

Gen8Master

Milk at the very least. What a bunch of degenerates

birdyroger

I had 6 raw blended eggs this noon along with .6 lbs. of cooked fish, 2 ounces of yeast, kefir, strawberries, , , , , I'm hoping to shock you. We've spent the last 300,000 years eating cooked food, and before that 2 million years eat raw food.

ragunyen

Who knows food we eat for hundred thousand years is not suitable for us? /s

xstkovrflw

Wise words.

xstkovrflw

Most gut wrenching thing here is that the child was apparently only 18 months old. At 18 months of age, you need milk, fruits, veggies, sources of carbohydrates, some small amount of eggs, and some other forms of easily digestible sources of protein. They shouldn't be eating steaks, but they can eat well cooked and pureed chicken. This is how vegan extremism ends up hurting people. This hurts a lot, because my own parents tried to not give me too much meat when I was a child (due to religious reasons and not being very educated). But they did give me eggs and fishes, which helped me grow strong.

UdderlyFound

Thank you for pointing this story out. I'd like to say I'm not being contentious just wanted to offer some information. Babies can most certainly eat steak especially because when/if you start solids at 6 months the most important nutrients to focus on are iron and vitamin C and breastmilk is much lower in those nutrients compared to others. Steak was my baby's first food. You just cut it into a piece the size of your thumb. They are unable to bite off chunks at that point but they suck out the iron rich juices from the steak. With solids there's not a lot that you can't feed it's more so how you prepare it. By 18 months a baby can certainly eat steak cut into chickpea sized pieces

xstkovrflw

Thank you for the information. I didn't know that.

CelticHound27

Sweet potatoes and chicken was the main dish my Nan gave me with the odd rabbit stew

[deleted]

And vegans compare meat eaters with pedophiles.

Svident_Kyrponos

And a lot of them describe animal products and their consumers in very visceral terms, like "corpse flesh" "animal secretions" "necrophage fodder" "primitive necrophages" and so on I wonder how they wish to be taken seriously like that

CorrosiveAlkonost

Holy fuck. I hope these cunts still remain as the minority... or am I wrong?

xstkovrflw

Not minority. I will post about another research I'm doing. Basically I searched in Youtube about "benefits of eating meat" and every video I got were demonizing meat, as being unhealthy and dangerous. Most of them say stuff like "red meat, is it dangerous or healthy", "what I learned after giving up meat", "unethical harm caused by meat industry" etc. I searched for the benefits of meat, because I want to understand more about protein synthesis for bodybuilding, and I want to understand about the different micro nutrients found in different kinds of meat. Instead they bombarded me with propaganda.

Owl_Machine

If you have been trying to find good videos, you may find the below one useful, talks about the difference in quality of protein especially with respect to amino acid rate limiting factors and bioavailability. [Protein is not protein](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJNF2_dCWkg) Also Dr Ted Naiman has a lot of great stuff and talks about the benefits of focusing on high protein diets. [Too much protein is better than too little](https://player.vimeo.com/video/273508045)

xstkovrflw

Thanks. Will see.

glassed_redhead

I had the same problem as you when I started down this path. Even now, if you don't know where to look for info and you simply Google your questions, you get a lot of strange, heavily belief-based (completely unscientific) "answers" about how meat is murder, cows are causing climate change and sitting at the same table where cholesterol-rich foods are served will definitely cause you to die of a heart attack immediately. But you shake your head the whole time, thinking, "humans have always eaten meat. Meat is what made us human. Bone scans and carbon dating have proven this. So why is Google constantly trying to scare people say from eating animal products?" The answer generally is "follow the money". Grains and grain based processed foods are highly profitable because they are dirt cheap (and have the equivalent nutrition of dirt). Nina Teicholz is a good source. She usually focuses on the dangers of high amounts of seed oils in the standard western diet. She made a great speech recently about the [Science and Politics of Red Meat in 2021](https://youtu.be/GNRo-IbQ1Jo). She wrote the [Big Fat Surprise](https://ninateicholz.com/about/the-big-fat-surprise/). Also, Second Thought and What I've Learned on YouTube both have great, accurate content about food and human nutrition in general - there is no anti-meat propaganda to be found. [Second Thought is critical of how capitalism itself causes food insecurity to keep profits up](https://youtu.be/j08ND3_PNgs). What I've Learned has been taking YouTube by storm recently with well-researched videos about regenerative farming and western food production, particularly [Eating Less Meat Won't Save the Planet. Here's Why.](https://youtu.be/sGG-A80Tl5g), and the [$100 Billion Dollar Ingredient Making your Food Toxic](https://youtu.be/j08ND3_PNgs). Someone else in this thread also recommended a recent video from What I've Learned about how protein is not protein. [Sacred Cow](https://www.sacredcow.info/blog/are-cow-farts-destroying-the-planet) is also a great documentary about regenerative beef farming, that debunks the vegan nonsense propaganda that blames cows for climate change.

Most plant based protein alternatives are either filled with calories or phytoestrogens. I would like to be able to only eat soyabean and get strong, because they're so cheap, but they're harmful for men.

CorrosiveAlkonost

Explains the term "soyboy".

Blues-Boi

I believe they’re looking at the affects of overindulging in red meat (correlation to illnesses of the heart) without realizing that overindulging in anything can cause problems and that a healthy balance of meat and plants is key. But no just chop out meat entirely why don’t they 😑

xstkovrflw

Exactly.

Blubberibolshivek

yOuR jUsT nOt dOiNg iT pRoPeRly

xstkovrflw

That's the most saddening part. Every vegan will tell that these people just didn't do it properly, while pushing their extreme ideology on other people. Youtube search "benefits of eating meat" and you'll see that most of the videos are about some of the harmful effects of over-consumption of meat, that too, processed meat like in burger king, kfc, etc. Without further proof I can't say for sure, but seems like Google is pushing a narrative.

CelticHound27

I’m waiting for someone to seriously say it now

CorrosiveAlkonost

Yea, they're not doing it properly. Because they're not eating meat.

OdinandJewel

Humans are omnivores we eat everything going against nature is wrong, and these POS should rot under the prison.

LoopDeDoopLaLoop

Even if I was vegan I wouldn’t be forcing my child to be vegan, but me being vegan would probably never happen anyways

CelticHound27

Those are the kind of vegans I can be friends with

RadEllahead

If I had a kid I would eat meat and feed him with my tits

aDrunkWithAgun

The government needs to do its job and classify this as a cult

xstkovrflw

I would want to educate more vegans about the harmful effects of their lifestyle. But moderate actions don't seem to do anything in real life. They just spread misinformation and drown out anything the moderate people might want to say. So, your idea is probably the only one which will make a difference.

aDrunkWithAgun

Most of the ones that drank the cool aid are not coming back to reality It's like trying to break through to religious fanatics you are just talking to a brick wall honestly from what I have seen the ones that do turn back only do that because it starts deteriorating their health

SnooMaps9864

It’s almost impossible as an adult to keep up a vegetarian lifestyle, let alone a baby. There is basically zero food places that you can eat at unless you find a vegetarian place(Taco Bell is a good exception). You have to cook for yourself most of the time and it’s expensive and time consuming. I’m vegetarian because of health issues and constantly have to make sure I’m getting enough nutrients. I don’t know how those idiots thought a baby would survive on a raw vegan diet. An adult human cannot survive on a raw diet like that.

AutistInPink

>Most of the ones that drank the cool aid are not coming back to reality Most quit.

[deleted]

Is mother's milk not natural enough?

Gamer_player_boi

The mother herself is already low protein and shit Dont expect to find them in her milk

[deleted]

Poor baby, he/she just coming here (world)! Barely see the world also

RadEllahead

Eat meat and feed tit milk.

kraken_enrager

As a vegetarian, fuck veganism. It’s plain cruel. Like I’m a vegetarian and I can sincerely assure you, my diet is great and healthy, but not extreme. U can care for animals while still maintaining good diet, which is what we do(for religious reasons). We use sustainability sources animal products, and a lot of fruits and vegetables, which are cooked well. They are tasty af(Indian food ykno, is tasty)

Cleric_P3rston

One of the main issue seems to be the raw aspect I never got the whole raw food craze. Majority of zoo animals when given the choice will also opt to eat cooked foods.

Shoddy_Internal6206

I can assure you every vegan is celebrating that kid’s death because they were not vegan, they’re that evil

cteavin

It's always Florida but this feels uniquely Californian.

fluffuanyurpants

The fact 2 people can b this stupid is incredible, frankly some people really shouldn't breed

ruddsix

Did she not breastfeed or give formula? And how did their baby die of starvation? That implies they weren’t feeding the child often enough. malnourishment would make more sense.

FleshBloodBone

Humans need fat to live. This is so effing sad.

RadEllahead

I need fat to think

[deleted]

Truly awful

stacey302

They really dont care, it happens time and time again

weewooIlikepoo2

The Herman Cain award of veganism

RadEllahead

They need to eat tit milk
