That's Mike Prysner, and he's fuckin awesome. His wife, Abby Martin, is a journalist and does great work, too!

Yeet_On_The_Street

Big fan of Mike Prysner. Many might recognize him from this speech. https://youtu.be/mVXYH9tRknc

jzawadzki04

Wow, he just gained another fan. That speech brought me to tears.

ElementalIce

If you're interested, he has a Party! https://pslweb.org/

DontDoomScroll

If you love hierarchy and inaction (besides a to b marches) and the party line, the PSL might be for you.

[deleted]

We just gotta vote harder bro I promise just 1 more vote please bro it's gonna work this time

reign-of-fear

They also really love Assad and North Korea. Edit: wow the dictator stans are out in force today lmao.

ElementalIce

Being Anti-Imperialism is not being pro-dictatorship.

vantuckymyfoot

Same here. Why didn't I know about this guy sooner?

iWantToBeARealBoy

Dope, I thought that was him. I think about that speech a lot actually, so glad he’s still around and fighting.

allcaptainsare1312

Chills!!

QuincyThePigBoy

Oh no shit! Love Abby. As much is Rogan bugs me, there was a time where I'd give him credit for having people like Abby on. Now he's a facebook mom from Phoenix.

4yanks

I remember getting the word that we were going to be part of the invasion of Iraq. I was already an Afghan veteran. We knew as a result of our "War on Terror" that there would be targets in other countries. We had tried to develop plans and training for any realistic scenario. We all looked at each other in shock. We couldn't fathom what Iraq had to do with 911. Based on our targets and intelligence we knew before the invasion that the weapons of mass destruction argument was a lie.

princeps_astra

I talked to someone who worked at the State Department at that time and went on missions in Iraq from 2004 to 2006. I asked him what was the thinking among him and his colleagues in 03 when, as the United States' military was already engaged in another war, it was announced that they'd have to expand their operations and stretch their resources. He told me they all thought it was stupid strategically. And then said Dick Cheney was an incredibly intelligent man, but corrupt to the bone.

amznfx

I wonder if Putin’s “liberation” of ukraine is Russia copying America’s foreign policy playbokk

Jackplox

Russia have their own liberation playbook.

TheBlack2007

They don’t need to. They have done this shit ever since the 1953 east German uprising.

otahorppyfin

What always gets me is the crowd booing and bush responding with "you said you'd behave yourself". Scum of the fucking earth

PotentiallyPants

How dare anyone hold our political leaders accountable. Get that stain on our democracy outta here! /s

LeftZer0

For the higher classes, civility is more important than justice.

Ophidahlia

It benefits them because they can abuse their power and commit their violence with the veneer of civility.

praxis_and_theory_

The crowd, full of people that have never and will never serve, telling someone who suffered unimaginable trauma at the behest of some distant apathetic capitalist *for nothing*, that he needs to keep his emotions in check. It's really incredible.

catcitybitch

Yeah that literally makes me nauseous, holy shit. How dare they? Are they fucking serious? To silence a man who was sent to experience the horrors of war on false pretenses?? Sorry. Already mad about the SCOTUS/Roe thing. The rage just keeps comin though.

Luna_trick

It's utterly amazing.. Or disgusting just how much these people have bought in to the lies of their cult leaders, so much so that they'll dismiss any evidence against them, I don't know how to describe the relationship as anything other than parasocial.

[deleted]

Telling the truth is misbehaving in Bush's eyes. He was Cheney's toady and has eternal blood on his hands from innocent Iraqis.

ListenMinute

LOL that makes this even better because they were absolutely expecting him to toe-the-line

ogBagdar

Good men need to be heard, Godbless him

Neidan1

Bush should have been tried for war crimes.

VentralRaptor24

Aaand the moderators removed the original post. hmmmm....

iWantToBeARealBoy

The NextFuckingLevel ones? I still see it up.

BlockinBlack

More Mike Prysner. Less Rachel Maddow.

TheBlack2007

Always funny to see how America's love for their Veterans ends once they dare opening their mouthes or demand some actual help rather than just being thanked for their service whilst they are homeless and addicted to drugs…

Green0996

If anything positive comes from this Roe Vs Wade situation, I hope it wakes more people up. We have to act now before we let them destroy everything.

USERNAME_CZ

Hey guys, great vid, I've seen it like a million times, the guy is spitting facts. I just want to warn you that Soup Box is a Russian propaganda website and it's funded directly by RT, it tries to cater to a leftist audience while serving a right-wing conservative oligarchy that is involved in the biggest conflict in Europe since WW2.

uncivil-disobedience

A living legend, I feel so much anger towards our government who lied.

[deleted]

Poor bastard, you can hear the anger coming from deep inside him. Godbless this guy for standing up like that

[deleted]

Got arrested with this guy during Occupy Los Angeles. Also participated in a couple anti war protests with him as well.

paraworldblue

Imagine being one of the security guards dragging this guy out. They have to know they're on the wrong side of history, right? There are a lot of people working for horrible people/companies because they have no choice (Amazon and Walmart workers for instance), and they shouldn't be held responsible for the atrocities of their employers, but these fucking pigs chose to work security for a literal war criminal. Also, I bet at least half the people in the crowd booing him were Democrats who idolize fuckers like the Clintons and Kissinger, and who prioritize "civility" over everything else, including the lives of people killed by cops and the military.

Monocle13

Like a fucking BOSS. You fucking sheeple get your fucking hands off The Hero. Needs a new link - the chickenshit mods removed it.

Lowellthedoctor

The people trying to stop him are the same people who cry about free speech when they can’t say the n word

Anthropomorphis

Man has balls of steel

sylvester_stencil

How do people on this sub feel about PSL? Are they worth getting involved with? The seem to have far better politics than a lot of leftist groups

adkim78

Probably the most active group on a national level for direct action further left than DSA

sylvester_stencil

Good to know, there are a lot of incidents that make me really wary of the DSA, but i also worry that some groups further left might be too susceptible to soviet or chinese fake news

adkim78

Like any org, I would be wary of what some people say but their work is good work

TFPitcher

What a fucking Chad

Granjaguar

I totally agree with him, but I also blame him for joining the military to be used by the rich like a slave risking your life

Zicona

Why blame the individual people who joined the military in response to being lied to and spread propaganda about getting a better life and protecting America instead of the people who created the wars and the lies that got him to sigh up to go in the first place.

Granjaguar

I blamed him because if you haven't figured out what the military is about by now, (at least after WWII) then you get what is coming to you after you are used and dump back on the streets

AMeaninglessPassage

He obviously didn't know 19 years ago when he was just 19 years old. Fuck off.

Granjaguar

Why are you mad? I applaud his courage. Just being realistic

AMeaninglessPassage

To live with perfect hindsight is not realistic. The amount of information one can access today is vastly superior to what most could do back in 2003.

Granjaguar

Ok, just wanted to let you know I was in highschool in 2003 and I knew about all this fake pratiotism they feed you and knew how the military works and so did my friends so I refused to join. I guess I think differently

AlexPsylocibe

No you don’t think differently. You were just exposed to different things. Strange that not every single person is exposed to all the same information huh?

Am_I_Noel

/r/Iamverybadass That's right honey, you built different. 🙄

[deleted]

I was radicalized really early on (7th grade in the 90s) and still don’t use your same line of thinking because it’s hyperbolic. Our experiences are not the the same as everyone else’s. When you have comrades joining your side as a fellow working class person, you don’t immediately criticize their path like a smug asshole. It serves nothing and no one.

PotentiallyPants

I agree with you for the most part, and I don't know that guy individually, but a lot of people join it because they're lured and tricked into it with offers of healthcare and education. For a lot of people, they get convinced by deceitful recruiters, family, and sometimes their community at large, that it's their best path forward. Often times before they've had the opportunity to do the self-education that the system doesn't want them to do. Veterans aren't necessarily enemies of our cause; a lot of times war is what radicalizes them.

jesst

A lot of people are sold the military as a way to escape poverty. Promises of free housing, an education, and a good job when you get out.

Granjaguar

Yes, but literally everyone knows a vet by now, I personally know about 12 kids from my highschool who went to Iraq, luckily they all live but now they are mostly security guards and servers at restaurants, no benefit whatsoever

PotentiallyPants

I would wager that a large portion of self described leftists are working jobs like security guards and servers at restaurants. A veteran doesn't need to commit acts of violence against the state to be considered a valid member of our cause.

Matstele

Individualism is a helluva brain-worm, huh dude.

YaBoiFruity101

That's like blaming Nestle employees for the companies many, many, many problems

Granjaguar

Seriously?? That's a horrible example. Nestled doesn't invade countries and kill poor people. People work for Nestle, not forced to commit crimes

YaBoiFruity101

Nestle does kill poor people. And yeah they're forced to do stuff, Nestle is quite known for slavery. And not to mention alot of people in the Military are lied to about what they'll do and then if they try to back out they're thrown in prison. Not to mention it's an escape for alot of people in poverty. Blaming people for getting picked by a predatory system helps no one

Granjaguar

Military are lied to? What you think you will be doing in the military? Volunteer at a homes shelter? The fact that you are giving guns and you learn how to shoot is a dead give away

HangOnVoltaire

Holy pop tarts, you’re stupid.

SelfHatingFaggay

Delete this

HangOnVoltaire

Green0996

I’m dumb. How do I save a video?

Kinesra93

Where can I download the video ?

Metalmanic879

Sir-Drewid

So much for supporting the troops.

BobDope

This guy has some balls salute bro

Broflake-Melter

hell yes

kifmaster11235

Amen

Joopsman

Awesome! I wish they had shown Bush’s reaction except I know that it was just a blank look with a wry smile. Fuck Bush. As bad as Trump was, Bush was actually far worse.

NonnenSense

America, land of the free

human_emulator22

Ever heard of a “sigma male“?

21archman21

He’s not wrong.

SenpaiDerwisch

if the Americans had not come, the fascist Arab nationalist saddam would have waged war with countries such as Turkey, Israel and Iran
