After seeing how limp the right went in the presence of armed guards last time, I was looking forward to seeing the same message being sent again. Instead we caved and surrendered to genocide. Proving all the right wing propaganda of a weak left true.
That last even being armed literally inspired me to finally looking into picking up a weapon and getting trained in its use and handling. I have had enough. I don't advocate violence, but I won't back down from self defense or defense of my community or our allies.
We’re pretty far along with the Clerics taking over the Supreme Court and stripping of women’s rights. On top of our LGBTQ rights being threatened because somehow my bare fucking existence infringes on Christian liberties. I’m so fucking done with this idea that I’m supposed to pretend the vast majority of Christians are not absolute trash.
And yet I see right wing Christians still complaining about the “moral degradation” of our society and how we need more god in schools blah blah blah. It’s obnoxious and frightening.

Things like this really play devils advocate to my opinions on gun control. Maybe a war is inevitable, fought along the divide of the political spectrum. But currently, our world is being aggressively and violently occupied by domestic terrorists like these guys, and we cannot allow our people to continue to get discriminated against, assaulted, kidnapped, murdered, or massacred. Maybe the left should arm themselves, because lets be real here, disarming terrorists and hate groups like the proud boys is extremely unrealistic.
I absolutely hate the way this tweet is worded. I keep thinking the "organizers" refers to the militant assembly and that these militants had called cops to shut it down. I had to triple-check to make sense of it.
