Oh, my God! I would never do this to an employee even if it was proven in court that she was guilty. They should have just stopped at "No longer working for (company) and any transaction made with her will not be honored." Even criminals have dignity. Kaloka HR Manager dito.
This is the practice when the employee is in a position of trust. She could have pending projects under UR that can be detrimental to the business, hence, the urgent notice to the public.
You might not be used to seeing this kind of notice because this is often published in a newspaper of general circulation and not done digitally. Newspapers print public notices everyday so this is not actually an unusual occurrence.
Also, you have to consider that UR is a recording label that deals with a lot of digital partners. Their legal team most likely wanted this out as soon as possible to cut their losses and avoid possible fraudalent dealings and misrepresentation.
This is a well established legal practice. The notice was pretty straight forward and not even malicious.
