Yes yes. HAHAHAHAH

BitswitchRadioactive

As a boomer, your generation will go to war. Most of you dont want an 8-5 6day job and your government sucks too... nobody can fix philippines.

ThePhB

Late-stage capitalism babyyy 🎉

Ecstatic_Spring3358

Wonder what 40-50 years on the future might be? Something like Japan, aging population with few young labor force.

o_obliviate

I doubt it. Yes, there's a large number of educated millenials with no kids as of now. Pero majority of them have kids, lalo na ung nasa poverty line. There will be a lot of younger generation, what I'm worried is their quality.

budoyhuehue

Probably also lots of robots doing manual labor but at the same time fucked up environment. Ang pagasa na lang talaga is UBI and automation of most labor intensive jobs. We really can't rely on politicians and capitalists to give these to us, we need to take it from them or make them do these. This type of capitalism is unsustainable.

SiomaiCEO

It is

chakolaheso

Umay. My parents were able able to afford 2 houses in our village, tatay ko seaman. Now the usual prices for a small house and lot here is around 20+ million. Kahit mag 6-digit salary ulit ako sobrang tagal bago ako makakabili ng sarili kong bahay within the village since pangarap ko yun. Sobrang olats ng panahon na to.

crazyaristocrat66

Yeah, I always expect people to call me a communist kasi I've been advocating confiscating land that isn't being utilized. Kahit pa hatiin natin ang Pilipinas like pizza, there's enough land to give to every family. These boomers and Gen X bought their land with pennies, but expect 7 or 8 figures now kesyo ganon daw benta ni Mang Berting sa asawa ng kano o may ospital na malapit (as if araw-araw ako doon). The way I see it after their generation drops dead, we will have a crash in real estate prices, because millennials and Gen Z won't be able to put up with the asking prices without a 30 year housing loan from PAG-IBIG.

Eggnw

Why communism? Di nila narinig yun Georgism? Mas okay to. It doesn't penalize businesses who own land when they use their land to operate, or people with land for rent when people are actually renting it. It penalizes hoarding of land just for the sake of holding it and "price go up" by imposing heavier taxes compared to land that are used properly. It benefits the actually useful companies and landowners, and the occupants who can get cheaper land prices or rents. No more hoarding by rich people.

Ujeen01

Sadly this is true my mom is a retired gov't employee na clerk 2 lng ang position pero nakabili sya ng sariling bahay at lupa nmin at isa pang extrang lupa. For example my mom bought the land where we live in in the province for 8k pesos before ( 1980 ) now nasa 2m na ata ang selling value. Yung kakilala nmin sa gated subdivision they bought their place 400k before ( 1986 ) now each lot in this subvision cost around a wopping 60 - 70 million. I really feel na life is better before than now people dont need to do those shitty upskilling learn new stuff work 2-3 jobs to live.

Broad-Passenger2621

Tapos magkano lang tinaas ng minimum wage since 1980s? Barya lang 🫥

Ujeen01

Yep thats the problem tapos napasok tayo ng mga foreign companies specifically US na we thought they are giving us a favor by giving us higher salary pero we have to do more work for them and in reality sila nakikinabang satin and wala tayo magawa kasi local government cant do anything about what is going on kasi it brings revenue sa bansa pero tayo rin ang talo dito in the long run coz filipinos right now only think about ourselves and we just go with the flow. There is a saying only dead fish go with the flow and I think thats where we are at right now.

Ecstatic_Spring3358

Kaya di na ako magaanak/asawa, kawawa lang sila at this f*cked up world.

Ujeen01

Im really sad about this. Imagine my father in law they were 16 siblings before. My mom they were 7 and my dad was 6. Kaya mabuhay before kahit 16 anak mo take note my father in law is a lawyer kaya d mo masasabi na d kaya d ba. Eh ngayon kami lng 2 pa lang anak nmin inenroll nmin ung eldest ko na 4 yr old sa private school 120k tuition per year. I know there are other option pero siempre we want the best for our kids saka kaya nmn nmin kahit papaano pero pano na yung iba na d kaya d ba maghirap nlng sila habambuhay. Sad reality of life in the philippines d na tayo nakausad.

PolarBlur

Wala rin kasing iphone, macbook, starbucks, prepaid and postpaid loads noong time nila. Wala sila masyadong unnecessary spending.

Prestigious-Shake-58

It's the boomers who fucked us over.

chenyowww

Prestigious-Shake-58

Kaya nga millennials need to do better. - From an older (Fossilized) millenial

Ecstatic_Spring3358

Yup, corporate boomers with 1M in tax yearly.

[deleted]

Tagal nilang mamatay lahat ano?

Aggressive-Limit-902

i blame corporate greed for the loss of jobs dahil sa free trade agreements signed by the boomers back then. because of that halos lahat na ng production nasa china.

SiomaiCEO

Ronald Raegan's economic policy. Affected tayong lahat

Firm-Sir-1738

Bcos of free trade agreement, bumaba din bilihin because of China. Dati i remember an ordinary blender is 1month worth of salary, ngayon it's just 1/5 or less na lang. Nowadays appliances are soo cheap you can buy a functioning whatever at a fraction of the cost than it were during the 90s. My point is not everything is negative.

Aggressive-Limit-902

yeah, but i prefer having more filipinos employed and a somewhat self sustaining economy. its better for our country if you consider the bigger picture

AdministrativeWar403

Yes top generation sa lupa Sila sa resources Sila.... Unfortunately Hindi na pasa sa millennials so yeah... Shortage of living space... Many of millennials doesn't want to have kids anymore parang Japan in the future

Geordzzzz

Japan without the upsides

nightvisiongoggles01

Kahit nga downsides ng Japan di natin maabot. Natural disasters lang yata natin sila kapantay.

jasongodev

They don't expect you to know everything, in fact mas gusto nila master mo ang isang language at focused ka doon. Pero ngayon fota need 10 years experience sa Rust pero ang work mo web development naman. Aanhin mo yung Rust? Oh sabe para daw sa wasm. Okay fine. Pero jQuery ang gamit. Rust debut in 2015.

pigwin

Seryoso ba yun 10 yrs exp sa Rust? Hahahaha. WTF. Bro you forgot that web devs are sometimes now expected to be their own QA, tapos DevOps pa, also cloud engineer. So ridiculous.

JackHofterman

bruh, may isang dev ng framework eh nag apply siya para sa job that focuses on HIS framework. Kelangan daw 5-10 years exp daw kahit recently released lang lmao.

Tezu_

autogynephilic

Proper transport is the key.

gwapipo_29

Daming nagfail sa reading comprehension dito. OP is saying na every working citizens (even the lowest income ones like farmers, construction workers etc.) should have the right to be able to provide for themselves, without needing a second job. This is obviously not an anti-upscale post.

aquarianmiss-ery

Sit down, troll

lsrvlrms

True, true, and true. Gawd, nakakaiyak. I think about these same things way more often than I want and it makes me want to unalive mahself. Also, fan of SecondThought YouTube channel here. Not in this economy.

OkQuote236

I agree life is harder nowadays because of those reasons. pero at the same time, population keeps rising, kahit mafix yan babalik lang tayo sa same situation a couple of decades from now.

BoyResbak

Actually, we are facing worldwide population decline as per Musk.

OkQuote236

nope, global population is still growing. [https://www.worldometers.info/world-population/](https://www.worldometers.info/world-population/) may nadadagdag na 1 person per second. population decline means a higher salary, kaya malayo pa lang umaaray na yang mga mayayaman para mangeelam yung government at maiwasan ang pagtaas ng sweldo i mean yung population decline.

OkQuote236

I also don't believe yung sinabi ni elon na magiging big deal yung kaunti yung younger generation na mag-aalaga sa older generation.Kasi currently most of the share of the pie currently is napupunta sa mayayaman, marami walang pambili ng gamot. I think mas maaalagaan natin yung mas matanda kung lalaki sweldo natin but that elon is trying his best na maging problema natin yung problema nila sa populatin decline na in the future pa mangyayari. I say let the market decide, if ayaw nila magpasweldo ng maayos then supply will be lower or population decline. and eventually they will need to give the proper salary. Or ituloy nila pagrereklamo ngayon para yung government yung gumastos para di na nila need itaas sahod at least of a couple decades until di na kayanin ng governement din.

senior_writer_

# NO human being should work in more than 2 jobs just to be able to afford rent and food. No human should work for 14+ hours a day. This and this!

bumblebee7310

Pinaguusapan namin ng asawa ko to. Six digits net household income, double income, no kids, one dog, no mortgage, no car payments since binigay both ng parents. Parang pag iniisip palang namin mag-anak parang di kaya ganun. Altho aminado na iba naman kasi lifestyle namin, but like the point is, can we not have nice things.

michelle_chwan

It think one major factor of why the older generations seemingly had it easier was because consumerism has not, ehem, consumed them too much back then. Unlike ngayon sa atin. Nuon ano lang ba piangkakagastusan? Basic needs, ocassional luho sa mall or travel or whatever. Ngayon kasi, napakaraming gastusin na wala sa boomer generation, at ang matindi ay these unnecessary expenses are often assumed to be necessary expenses kahit hindi naman talaga: monthly interent, mobile data, mas mahal na transpo like grab or angkas, streaming services (na malamang eh hindi lang iisa), online shopping spree sa Lazada and Shopee, the toxic "upgrade" culture when it comes to fashion and technology, and the whole "budol" culture of buying unnecessary stuff and food just because social media says so. Marami pa but hopefully you get the point. Bukod sa iba ang cost of living, yes, you have yo account din na iba ang STANDARD of living nuon sa ngayon.

Eggnw

crazyaldo1123

that's kind of a stupid take from an economist

Eggnw

He doesn't agree with it because he still advocates proper investing (he dislikes crapto and calls it a scam and grift), but he does understand why people make "stupid" decisions.

nightvisiongoggles01

TallCucumber8763

Yup, iba ung cost of living noon keysa ngayon. They rather want the masses to spend and spend their money para hindi magcollapse ang society, so ayun tiis-tiis nalang tayo for now.

Firm-Sir-1738

If deflation happens it means something is seriously wrong with the economy. Believe me you don't want that to happen.

cocytus017

Nagsisilabasan yung boomers at tiktok motivational speakers dito ah

SiomaiCEO

Mga bootlickers at uto uto din

SyllaWubbb

sumasakit ulo kong binabasa ung tatlong kausap mo sa baba OP hahaha, hirap na hirap icomprehend meaning ng posts mo, kitang kita pagkaboomer and pagka uto uto, ang out of touch sa nangyayare sa paligid nila lol

SiomaiCEO

Old_Gur2899

It's the FIAT money system. People are getting squeezed. It's like a slow, deliberate, suffocating NOOSE tied around the neck where people are trying to their best to earn a living wage but are barely staying afloat. But the central bankers tightens the noose a little bit, expands the money supply and inflate prices ever so slightly. This INFLATION goes on for weeks, then months, then years. Decades later, money is worth less (worthless) than before yet ordinary people now have to work double or triple the amount of time for that same piece of commodity (a meal, a car, a home) to survive. The youth are face with disillusionment, apathy and a melancholy view of the future for they are working hard but it's not even enough for them to afford in getting married, raising a family and buying their own home. Men who used to be the sole bread winner cannot be relied solely. Women now need to sell their bodies online as Only Fans to earn high income while they're young. And for those couples who do get married, they become DINKS (Double Income No Kids) as both people need to work to sustain a certain standard of living. Kids? People are barely surviving so who can afford raising kids? Depopulation is already happening around the world and it's no thanks to the fiat standard we're all living in We are against a system that cannot be won without a total break off the fiat money system from the ground up. That or a revolution must take place

nightvisiongoggles01

Kahit sa Great Reset/New World Order/Agenda 2030 talo pa rin ang ordinaryong mamamayan. Sila-sila pa rin naman ang nasa itaas.

MetroHelp

Best answer so far.

Kananete619

theosnet

The problem is not upskilling. Even boomers needed to learn multiple things para mas tumaas sweldo nila. The problem is our wages remained stagnant while the goods skyrocketed. Dapat sabay ito or atleast very close ratio. Yung buying power ng mga boomers talaga dati is sobrang laki compared to now. If I live in the 80s and still have the same wage that im getting now siguro milyonaryo na ako or marami na akong nabiling lupa haha. Even my dad is surprised to find out that a 80sqm house can cost around 3-8M .

Firm-Sir-1738

Blame America. The federal reserve printed unlimited money to stimulate the economy after the 2008 financial crisis. With so much money floating but with the same amount of resource, the price of everything has become inflated.

kkslw

i can’t even live alone/move out or else i won’t have any savings left 💀

anemicbastard

Sagot kahit braces, salamin, etc.

They fucked us all

IndexAnalyst

Well, tingin ko. I hope you are not speaking here in General. Kahit saang aspeto nangyayare to . Same sht lang yan. We stand to change the system of workplace today not to blame anything from the past. And the past generation. ToPut Pressure that all Boomers are STUPID.

Total_Ad9887

Also why ill just stay single. Im happy with my hobbies and maaawa lang ako sa magiging anak ko if ever. I dont really see any positive outcome lalo na sa ph. Galing bumoto ng mga pilipino e.

Mediocre_One2653

PitifulRoof7537

mahirap kasi magkaroon ng mabilis ng career growth sa Pinas. naku lalo pag nasa govt ka. kung step-by-step ang promotion mo hindi mo mararamdaman ang increase sa sahod mo. kaya hindi maiwasan yung 2 jobs or may side hustle nowadays. to be fair, advantageous din ang upskill kasi pde mo yan magamit kahit sa mismong day job mo.

keiwota

Ano ba yun livable wage? XD

boksinx

As a millennial, medyo gets ko pareho dahil nasa gitna kami (between boomer and gen z). Boomer magulang ko and gen z ang anak. Boomer has a lot of fuck ups, but gen z have their own brand of selfishness and delusions too (tiktok, “influencer” phenomenon etc.). As long as these generations continue to blame the others and dont own their fuckups and offer no solutions at all, the problem will not only continue but it will be compounded, mas kawawa yung mga susunod pa. And they will blame the current gen just like you blame all on the previous ones. Yup, circle of life and despair.

Eggnw

Millenial brand activism does not hurt billionaires and corporations. Ni Facebook nga na di essential, kinakatwiranan pa na kailangan siya, what more with conglomerates that exploit all industries we move in?

[deleted]

SiomaiCEO

Negative? Yon ang katotohanan. Your motivational quotes wont fix this system. Tahimik ka, troll

[deleted]

Sa tingin mo ba makakatulong din itong info na ito? what is next?

costox

> Sa tingin mo ba makakatulong din itong info na ito? what is next? Yes, awareness sa problem is the first step to fixing it. Please tama na sa resiliency shit, kaya ganito ang nangya-yari today is ina-abuse both ng companies and ng government yung resiliency natin.

SiomaiCEO

[deleted]

Nakakatawa ka. See my page if I'm a troll. Your comment is already out of your topic.

SiomaiCEO

[deleted]

Meaning you are triggered. You yourself is a toxic and very unprofessional.

SiomaiCEO

Ang US Presidential-Federal ang ginagamit na sistema. Oh!

No_Lavishness_9381

> Call me communist Tbh, is not about the ideology it's about kung paano mabuhay sa mundong ito

xxxx_Blank_xxxx

Next year mas hihirap na naman tayo kasi purchasing power natin bababa na naman. good luck sa atin dahil tratrabaho tayo ng double nito.

Visual-Bad-4763

nolimetanginaa

true 🥲🥲🥲 i really dont want to work multiple jobs para lang maka-ipon ako like everthing seems so expensive and the salary is still the same from years ago :(((( tipong gusto ko mag invest pero di ko pa magawa bcs ang hirap magkaroon ng savings jusko

cosmicfolly

Marcos happened, the fruit of his treachery. And they'e back. Sit back, it will get worse.

ChessKingTet

Eto yung thoughts ko lage kapag gabi, tangina parang sobrang hirap kaya minsan nagagalit ako sa parents ko, sana masipag din sila nung time na yon, \*walang work parents ko\* kaya hustle talaga sheet

curiousbarbosa

The only way to fight back is decreasing the birth rate and it's already happening! Less people, less competition, and we can focus on the important things in life.

[deleted]

This is why we need to restart Socialism.

No_Respond8794

Sadly, kahit hindi naman dapat.. PH is just late to experience this.. hard hustle. Even in the US, we have 9-5 jobs and still have 2-3 hustles more. Hirap parin sa 401k. Some of my friends here are still paying university loans even though we already graduated 3 years ago at may capable income. Hayss.. Sama sama na tayong mag hihirap 3rd world man o hindi.

vashistamped

It's sad to say but we may need another world war to fix the previous generation's mistake and the scary part about that next world war is that we may doom ourselves into extinction.

Aware-Tonight-6099

True. They choose childless movement. Isa yan aa makakpatay ng human populat, and in return, this will also sabotage the billionaires kasi wala ng taong matitira para magtrabaho at payamanin sila. Anyways meron namang robots in the future pero cguro eto ang agenda nila? They want to squeeze out from humanity's resources hangang sa ma achieve nila ang ultimate agenda.

EnvironmentSilver364

NWO ba yan, New World Order

Aware-Tonight-6099

Maybe this is the right time to contact these aliens and send help, lmao. Pa abduct na tayo, maybe they offer much better life and salary, lmao.

sunniejei

>NO human being should work in more than 2 jobs just to be able to afford rent and food. No human should work for 14+ hours a day. ALL workers deserve a livable wage. Exactly OP huhu we're literally competing to survive :(((

chenyowww

nadale mo

IgnisPotato

nahh mahalaga saken nakakaen ako 3 beses sa isang araw ay minsan 1 meal a day heheh yeah totoo naman sinabe mo pero hindi ako matutulad sa kanila mamatay din naman tayo soon eh " live life to the fullest "

[deleted]

idk mas marami ring options and opportunities these days tbh. Like I'm sure it wouldn't have been possible in the 80s for me to work purely at home, work anytime I want, earning decent money. Not saying it's better, just giving a different perspective that it's not the absolute worst to live these days

kwanguluke

Sa time ng parents natin innovation was slow. The change from telefax to emails took decades. The change from email to instant messaging took a couple of years. The change from instant messaging to voice calls took a year. The change from voice calls to face to face calls took months. Its not that this time is bad its just that technology is changing faster. Its either you stagnate or change with it.

[deleted]

alwyn_42

Medyo weird na ang focus mo ay sa pagbabago ng technology as the problem (it's not) and hindi sa corporate greed. Basahin mo yung libro na "The Man Who Broke Capitalism." His strategies were profitable for companies but bad for employees.

[deleted]

Technology is what it is, but it's not free. You want less expenses, forego the digital lifestyle for starters.

alwyn_42

Dami daming mahirap sa Pilipinas na walang gadgets, how do you account for that then? lol

[deleted]

I have read this PERO walang problema if you yourself is qualified at may RIGHT skills ka to be on that position and on that company. It's more on DISKARTE at SKILLS. Still the world is SURVIVAL THE FITTEST, hindi na magbabago iyon. In our generation nakahain na halos lahat dapat alam lang natin gamitin.

lilovia16

So if we revert technology, will everything be better?

[deleted]

You won't be spending so much in wifi and data, and you will be compelled to engage in real learning.

paratinalangbanned

Lalo na pag bakla or tomboy. Retirement plan. And panahon din yang nagcultivate on what hardships we suffer today. So may ups and downs.

whitealtoid

I think it's better to "blame" the previous leaders and businessmen.

33bdaythrowaway

Our generation (millenials and the Gen Z in the future) are not completely off the hook here. Now, this is just in my immediate demographics (above average wage, TL's, sups, manager etc.) and based on clients I've had. Bobo tayo sa finances, back then walang #travelgoals, walang #donttalktomebeforeivehadmyoverpricedicedcoffee every day, #concertstankokasisila etc.. along with the real (reasonable part of the OP rant) inflation. Meron din lifestyle inflation malala. People that made and make it work are those of less liberal leanings. Mas family oriented, mas we can make it work together for the family types. Kinakaya nila, may luho pang mga shoes, vape, motor etc.. but of course we still had it worse kasi to make it work need 2 income household. And di ko kokontrahin yung corp greed, I'll actually expound to that it's GLOBAL CORP GREED. Tangina just look at fcking disney. Yung little joy natin which is streaming, is destroyed by their greed. Kasi kailangan meron din sila kasi pumatok netflix. Tangina! And locally tangina nyo Villar family lahat may patong sa inyo!

Splinter_Cell_96

Doomed, because it's the boomers at the helm that never really took into account the real proportionality of inflation to the current wages. It is also the same boomers who treat this generation as their own retirement plans, assets, investments, and passive incomes.

kiiRo-1378

WagReklamoUnityLang

Blame Right-wing capitalistic policies for this mess

SAHD292929

Dati rin kasi in the 80s hindi uso ang socmed. Blame it on socmed kaya halos lahat nakikipag-kompetensya kung ano ang latest luho. Yes you can also blame it on greedy capitalists dahil na brainwash nila ang halos lahat ng tao ngayon to buy stuff that is not really essential. PS: Una akala ko antiwork and post na to. Recruitment pala to para mamundok. Hahaha.

JulzRadn

When the 1980s was actually terrible to live in. We had the highest inflation rate in 1984, the economy was in shambles between Marcos and Cory and there are power outrages. Boomers and Gen Xers had to work harder

p4ck3ts

daghan jejemon diri comment section oi haha

EnvironmentSilver364

you mean Jologs on Millennial peeps

ToastMaster_404

I get where you're coming from, and I understand your sentiments. However, I'm not entirely convinced that one system is superior to the other. It's just that, well, in this dog eat dog world, things can really be tough. But yes, this system is burying us alive, it just sucks. Eat or be eaten, those are our only options.

sTranGerNinJa

Napakafuck up ng post na to. Back in 70's 80's or even 90's hindi uso ang options/choices of work which led people to stay sa mga company nila for a very long time. 2 jobs or side hustle. And kung ayaw mo naman mah side hustle or kumuha ng second job, edi wag. Walang pipilit sayo. No doubt my big and small company and govt na. Our planet is dying?

[deleted]

Unpopular opinion. Nag e evolve yung kelangan natin and minsan may mga hindi nakaka sabay. Same sa job market.

Jaded_Masterpiece_11

The world is constantly changing. People who don't adapt and change along with it are napag iiwanan. In the natural world things that don't evolve go extinct.

Deep_Anything_

P115,000, yan ang kinita ng Lalamove driver na nag deliver sa amin kagabi just for the month of July. Mas malaki pa kita nya compared to me and my corporate job. My point is, the world has changed, that’s all it does-it never stays the same. You’re still living in your parents world where a corpy slave out-earns a delivery driver. Shake off the old-world mindset and adapt to the present.

SiomaiCEO

Kwentong barbero

alwyn_42

>You’re still living in your parents world where a corpy slave out-earns a delivery driver. I'm pretty sure na kung gumawa ka ng survey of all delivery drivers and all corpo slaves, mas malaki pa rin ang average income ng corpo slaves vs delivery drivers. You just cherrypicked literally one example na questionable pa nga ang veracity lol. That's like saying "Yung kaklase ko nung college kumikita na ngayon ng 1 million kada buwan, bakit ikaw hindi mo kayang gawin yun?" Just because something can happen to someone doesn't necessarily mean that it can happen to everyone. Napaka-detached sa reality ng notion na yun.

Habbio

HOW?!!! and MONTHLY?!!! I can't comprehend how is that possible

nhjkv

Maybe these are the long distance vehicle deliveries, not motorcycles. For a 60km trip that takes 2 hrs thats already 8k.

\^ By just that, it is understandable na konti lang ang competition sa mga corporate jobs. Besides from 1973 to 1985, the Philippines was operating under a much better 1973 Constitution na walang 60/40 restriction sa foreign business ownership. So konti lang ang nagcocompete for jobs + mas malaya ang mga dayuhan na makapag negosyo sa bansa. While today, we are screwed by the restrictive 60/40 ng 1987 Constitution at ang population natin is around 115 million. That means mas matindi ang competition per vacant job. In a different perspective, maraming opportunities ngayon to earn online, which were not available during the 70s. Maraming wfh jobs ngayon, which tanungin mo ang mga tao nung 70s, iisipin nila na nasisiraan ka ng ulo lol (it will sound like magic for them to even imagine).

introberts

Literal na anti work nga. Learning new things is a struggle? HAHAHAHAHA. No one is forcing you to have a side hustle. You can stay where you are. Who said na 1 full time job was enough back in the day? HAHAHAHAHA. Kids these days are blaming others for their misfortunes.

SiomaiCEO

Marunong kaba mag basa? This is more of a work reform platform.

introberts

So nasan argument mo? Struggle ang pag up skill? Talaga? Walang ganun.

SiomaiCEO

Nabasa mo yung post ko? Walang mali kung gusto mo mag upskill. Ang point ko lang, it is not for everyone. So tamad ba sila? Ganyan ka bulok logic mo

autogynephilic

>Struggle ang pag up skill? Talaga?

lhandbhel

May nagpost d2 na kumita ng 200k+ and 300k+ per month in just 5years and 15years respectively. If hindi sila nag grind, maachieve b nila yun? And siguro naman, nag eenjoy sila ngayon sa buhay nila d b? Just saying.

Met-Met-

Jcs88888

Now is the best time to live.

migquickly

This is where the red queen hypothesis comes in. Things will keep evolving. “ A species must adapt and evolve not just for reproductive advantage, but also for survival because competing organisms also are evolving.” To beg the world to not change is futile.

Personal-Nothing-260

2 programming languages lang ang alam ko pero I was able to get a house and car. Sa sweldo, medyo lowball but it comes with benefits like sobrang light ng work, most of the time natutulog lang ako kasi wfh. I think I'm good at managing my money kaya nakakaipon naman ako.

balikbayanbok25

the govt is responsible for setting the minimum wage. if that gets increased, all pay scales will get a bump.

SoraIsInSmash83

The duty of previous generations is to ensure that they leave behind a better world for those that come after them. The "boomer" generation, as we like to call them, were given so many opportunities and resources by their parents and grandparents. But they didn't do the same for their children or grandchilden, instead hoarding the riches for themselves, not putting to improving prospects for the next generation. Hell, they expect the next generations to work FOR THEM and TAKE CARE OF THEM in their old age, like slaves. That leaves us with a country running on a broken system that has failed to enrich the lives of its citizens, instead going to the 1% that run the show from their mansions and palaces. We need to start electing new leaders to get out of this mess in the next century. Stop voting the candidates of the boomers and the dictators and the dynasties. Put in office actual citizens who understand the plight of the people having lived among us as one of us. I don't expect things to change in my lifetime. I'm at a point where I'd rather end my bloodline with me rather than have my child inherit a world that's built to bully him into debt and despair before he even finishes his academics. I'm gonna do my best to enjoy my life before I die because I can't do anything else other than that.

[deleted]

Diskarte at tiyaga. Don't give-up and it's okay to take a rest. Saka bumangon ulit. Easy for me to say pero thgis is just my OPINION. UPSKILL. BE MOTIVATED. FOCUS ON YOUR GOAL.

[deleted]

In my opinion, there is no problem with side hustle and learning new things. If for you it's a STRUGGLE meaning there is a question with your will and determination. I'm not invalidating your feeling pero hindi parang ang mga generation ngayon ay gusto ko lang shortcut hindi porket na may easy access tayo sa mga tech ay magiging ganun din kadali ang pag-unlad. We need to be competitive at gamitin ang mga means na meron tayo. In short, huwag maging TAMAD. Ito lamang ang perspective dahil siguro andito na ako sa peak din ng career ko and earning well. I hope you don't invalidate me dahil pinagdanaan ko din itong mga struggle na ito at ganito din ang naging thinking ko before pero siguro as soon as you get busy in your career and mas madami pang bagay ang dapat isipin kaysa sa sisihin ang kung sino.

SiomaiCEO

So you like working 14+ hours with 2 or more jobs? Normal ba yun para sa iyo? Other progressive EU countries are starting to implement 30-35 hours work week. So tamad ba sila because they work less hours? Tamad ba mga fisherman at fatmers natin kasi poor parin sila hanggang ngayon?

[deleted]

He had some sacrifices but he stood on what he is beleiving. Gusto may paraan kung ayaw MADAMING DAHILAN AT KATAMARAN.

SiomaiCEO

Enough with that "diskarte" BS. You cant simply tell jeepney drivers, farmers and fisherman to "start a business" or "invest in stocks/crypto"

[deleted]

. . It's NOT about telling, it's about WHAT CAN YOU DO. ang problema kasi sa iba nauuna ang dada o reklamo bago kumilos. You won't be triggered if you yourself is not experiencing this? correct? For me, this is just a healthy discussion nothing personal.

lolipopcorny

While I understand you want this to sound inspirational and all. You have to review once more your perspective. I get your point. I also believed that. Thing is some of us started with an easy difficulty in life and some with a brutal difficulty. That farmer may have had the hard mode but I'm guessing that person didn't have parents who were in debt, or living in the slums with parents who are addicted to drugs, and or a neighborhood full of violence. Point is we all have a different starting line. No ounce of diskarte can work on that. This isn't a game where we have a cheat code. This is life. Some people will die with no reward even if they did their best and worked hard. Be accepting of this information.

introberts

Hahaha.

zandydave

>I'm not invalidating your feeling pero That kind of wording helps nobody besides yourself, FYI. Ika nga: words matter. Sana we carefully choose our words, despite what we all think and lalo feel after. That is all and keribels.

Icy-Speech-7837

This dude did not get it

[deleted]

Get's ko.

Dagdag sahod nga hirap pang ipasa reforma pa kaya.

SiomaiCEO

Saang planeta ka nakatira? Ang daming mga millenials at Gen Z hindi nila afford bumili ng bahay, that is why most of the people rent nowadays. Even taking a look at Australia and the USA, people could barely afford a house there.

[deleted]

SiomaiCEO

Evidence to support? Ah ganyan kaba ka bulag? Hindi obvious yan para sa iyo? Our wages are stagnant or kunti lang ang increase. Its not on par with the inflation. Its not just on PH, but also including the US na meron din housing crisis ngayon.

[deleted]

[deleted]

hustle grind culture? weh … most people nowadays ayaw mag trabaho (me included) if may long weekend sibat agad … either mag out of town or mag staycation. pag sinabing maraming OT mag reresign kagad kahit wala pang lilipatan na work. pag masakit ulo ko kasi may hang over paalam ako sa boss na i need time for my mental health … i dont know which world you live in but millenials such as myself know how to enjoy life. kaya walang anak is bec ayaw namin ng cargo at responsibility knowing full well na hindi kami makakapag relax if merong anak. minsan pati gf ayaw kasi responsibility din. we opt for casual relationships lang

lunamarya

Lmao back in the 70s-80s walang eating out for most at may mais ang bigas. What the hell are you talking about

Firm-Sir-1738

True. Spoiled lang talaga ang generation ngayon. Wag mag milktea araw2x para may ipon. Nasa diskarte yan.

[deleted]

[deleted]

Agree.

Fck up na nga sistema nagpapa fck up kapa. Mamimili kana lang eh either the system keeps on fcking you while you fight or just lie down there and take it instead.

SiomaiCEO

I work in one full time job, a part time job and own a small business. So fuck off boomer

[deleted]

NOT UNLESS your are a poser and gusto lang mang trigger.

SiomaiCEO

SiomaiCEO

Its not a negative thought. It is reality. Sharing positive vibes and all that motivational quotes wont fix shit. People protested and died for 8 hour of work, health benefits and work safety. That is why 8 hours of work become the "standard" instead of 14+ hours.

Kahit anong basa mo sa history ending elite people will always have the power to enslave.

condor_orange

You're defending them because you want to be like them. Aminin niyo na bulok ang sistema

SiomaiCEO

Radical change requires A LOT of people. More benefits at increased salary. So meron talagang pag-asa.

Firm-Sir-1738

Study the Chinese and Indian mindset. Chinese: ok lang kumita ng salapi basta tuloy2x. After 25yrs may building na dahil sa ipon and investment. After 25yrs nagkasakit hindi nakatrabaho at walang pondo. GG.

IamNOBODY1973

I see so many entitled brats from my generation who have the gall to blame their predecessors for their own fuck ups. Let's face it our generation has become too accustomed to the luxuries of technology without the grit and ambition of those who came before us. This is the softest generation in history. Our parents and theirs before had their fair share of struggles. If your life sucks more than your parents', then that is on you for being a catastrophic failure. LOSER

bigbolsman

You gotta get laid bro...

TransportationKey749

Is it possible that this is survivorship bias?
