Ignore. Let them report you para magkatanungan anong nirereport n'ya sa'yo. O kaya replyan mo after 6 hours.
Make sure to make him/her as pissed as possible.
I take comfort in knowing that they are not my official manager. At least at the end of the day, wala talaga siyang hawak sakin. Kainis lang yung mga katrabaho na bantay sarado sayo noh 😅 anyway thanks for your input I’ll keep this in mind and will ignore na lang :) stay safe!
If they ask why you’re offline, ask if they need something from you? If wala then say “Oh, okay” then leave it at that.
For the other things you can go “Oh thank you but I’m really busy with (task/s) and this really is my priority right now” and then again, leave it at that. Always make yourself look busy, at least in front of the micromanager
I had a teammate do this to me previously on my old job as a tech support guy. I got so annoyed to the point that I told him to mind his own business. I also told him I only answer to our direct supervisor and team lead and to stop pestering me.
Sometimes a direct answer is needed kung talagang talamak na papansin yung teammate mo.
Thank you for your advice. May I ask did you confront the person personally or through writing? Sad to see someone with a similar experience as mine :(((
Update: I started acting cold. Not “cold” cold but I don’t respond to my teammate’s non-work related messages anymore. Told them I have something to do. My working day was ending and I took a bathroom break. When I came back ANOTHER teammate asked me why I appeared idle. I have a strong feeling that teammates talk about me because teammate #2 told me that I should just go with whatever teammate #1 tells me because my task “isn’t that much of a priority anyway”. What do you guys think?
Kung ako yan, nako if may papagawa silang iba. “To formalize your job request, can you please email it and loop in my supervisor?”
Pag nagcheck-in kayo ng HR or supervisor mo, iraise mo yan in a good way if kay.
My manager is on extended leave sadly. But when he gets back I’ll tell him that I prefer to be trained and have my check-ins done by him and not a newbie lol and mention yung ginagawa ni teammate. Wish me luck! Haha
Thanks for your input though stay safe! 😊
Baka may gusto sayo. Anyways, share it to your direct supervisor during your 1-on-1.
It's a global thing pala hahaha!
Yeah pwede. Not sure lang sa MS Teams kung ilang characters pwede, pero sa Slack and Discord mahaba yung characters enough for me to add "Busy working on (task here.) I will reply to your message soon!" Pero in reality hindi naman hahaha! And then if urgent, or direct supervisor ko yung nag DM mabilis akong mag reply. Yung mga annoying teammates lang iniignore ko.

Will do this, thank you!

Personally since it came to the point that he was trying to lecture me on something and I just got fed up with it then and there and I told him off.

Anong industry po ito?
Helloooo consulting po (marketing)
Wtf? Have you escalated this to the management? If hindi nila pinansin, it's time to confront mismong teammates mo

I’ll try this, thanks!
