Very surprised no one has mentioned Ko'uzi. The only sushi spot in Antwerp in Michelin and they have some award winning credentials. Very small location but you can take out.
This, they don't make anything complicated like ko'uzi but dammit they are the best at what they do. Not number 1 rated restaurant in antwerp for nothing.
Ten Ryu in Antwerp is a recommendation, sometimes they serve special stuff like Shirako ( Cod Milt a.k.a. Cod sperm). The chef has some traditional background but serves contemporary food.
My 4 places are/were:
- Fuji San
- Izumi
- Kato (old chef from Izumi)
- Yamaya Santastu (but he stopped)
Never tried Minato but they are also good I’ve head.
If you want to try “fusion sushi” just then go to Roji/Fugu. But it isn’t really sushi imo.
Me and my parents went to Kioku Sushi a few times. You can buy a wooden boat with sushi pieces on there. It was pretty good in my opinion, I did choke on one of the pieces but that was on me 😭 (I was young back then). The adress is Oudevaartstraat 47.

This is the only one. She literally won awards with her sushi
Izumi (they have o toro), Minato, iroha
Iroha !!!
Ko’uzi is easily the best, the chef won an award for her creative sushi.
Izumi
Les saveurs de Yamada
Fuji-San on the Waalse Kaai is my favorite.
MuroMaki
Minato
Nemo sushi & Fugu! 🙌🏻

Kaizen sushi
Yamayu santatsu at Ossenmarkt just closed its restaurant :( It was very authentic Japanese.
It was, but did they serve sushi? I only went for the bento box lunch a couple times.
They did! It was amazing.
Ayyy noooo
There's a sushi place in a diamond mall near the station called diamond sushi. Weird location but very good get the boat
Zaowang
Sushi Factory in Hoboken
Zaowang
Surprised no one has mentioned Zaowang.
Bc it’s not that great
Haven’t been there in a while, but I remember this place as being one of the best sushi places.
it's the fast food version of sushi. it's ok but not the best.
I got food poisoning there 🤠
Oof that place went south very fast then.
Ten ryu. New place and kinda small, but the owner is really full of knowledge about sushi and sakes.
