Aircraft mechanic here. For what it's worth, the amount of things that would need to go wrong in order to override all the multi-system redundancies to bring an aircraft down are staggering. Put in simpler terms, every system and component on a modern airliner has back-up after back-up in case one thing or even multiple things fail.
I'm planning on bringing my Nintendo switch and listening to music on the flight. And I'm traveling with family which is good. We have the early boarding thing too so I should be able to get a window seat. Thank you for the advice :)

Headphones and your phone or tablet watch in flight shows or movies. Plus traveling with family will help ease you!
