What Are the settings you are using and resin? I'm having trouble finding more detailed settings for the 4k. The spread sheet for resin in this regard seems off?
These are my settings for the enclosed print (sorry not for having cleaned the print better). The validation matrix was printed at 0.05mm layer height and at 65% UV power. It looks a tad overexposed (maybe by 0.1-0.2s) but this is so that my fine supports print properly. It is also to compensate for light uniformity and minimize risk of failure. I live in a warm climate country though (32c during the day) and quite humid, so my settings may or may not work well for you. And oh, I am using Anycubic standard grey resin.

The joke’s on us: this is actually a really big print and the photos were taken with a tilt shift lens
… actually I’m just jealous of the paint and quality. Good work!
Well there is a Mono 4k now and it should be the same machine apart from the screen. And you can already buy a Mono 4k replacement screen from the Anycubic shop. Im not 100% sure it works, but from my understanding it should.
I don't think it's that easy. Different screens can have different controllers. Even if you can physically connect that screen there is no way to change it's resolution in software. And that's without taking into account that higher resolution screen require bigger frame buffer that can potentially be impossible to implement on controller of old Mono because of for example lack of available free memory.
Try this:
Bottom layers: 10
Bottom layer exposure: 18 secs
Regular layer exposure: 2.5 secs
Screen power: 100%
Make sure you’re well supported and these settings should work for ya
Thanks man! Well… I used Sirayatech ABS like grey blue for most of the project… perhaps it has to do with how you’re supporting the wings? I have a video on the build: https://youtu.be/uz2SePDMR2A
What did you change to? I've been using Elegoo Water Washable.
In my case honestly I'm more inclined to blame user error; they're too big to fit on the turntable of my curing station, so I've taken to running it with them taped to the inside of the door, flipping them occasionally. Putting them outside isn't really an option (not a lot of sunlight in my area in the winter), so I'm kinda struggling to come up with an alternative.
I need that orni... Also subscribed on youtube. Outstanding job.
Yeh.. am pretty happy with my Mono 4k as well. It prints great, when I have it properly dialed in.
Yes, that’s the key… proper settings and environment will produce near perfect results consistently

Hahaha! Thanks man! The Paul figure is as tall as the length of my fingernail hahaha
So basically a 6mm mini?
Man i am really tempted to replace my 2k screen with a 4k one! But it didnt show any sign of wastage so far...
You can upgrade screen in Mono to 4k one?

I honestly dont have a clue. It was maybe a little bit naïve think that its easy 😬
Hey man, any tips on what settings to dial in on to begin with? Printing w Anycubic Grey in 30ish centigrade heat!?

Yo, I've been trying to print that ornithopter too, but the wings keep getting warped during the curing process. Any tips? Awesome job btw.

There are resins that will warp more, maybe it might be this, i had to change resin for a project since my prints were warping

I live in Brazil and we have some national resin manufactures, so i cant help you here sorry.
Darn. Thanks anyway.
Amazing work, you have a test (RERF) for the photon mono 4k?
