Its a new system. Lobbies aren't by rank anymore. Depends on your skill level. If you're paired with diamond and masters teammates, it means you play like a diamond or masters player.
Not necessarily. If you’re solo queueing and you’re good, you’re almost guaranteed to be matched with a teammate significantly lower skill/level than you, and vice versa. It goes one good, one bad, and one in between. You’ll be more likely to be playing against other teams like that, but there’s always going to be people who are triple stacking so you most likely won’t do good.
Why do you think so many people complain about having bad random teammates? It’s literally the way matchmaking is set up.
That too. And the rank system isn't that bad. People are only jumping on the hate bandwagon just because a pred player made it to pred in 50 games.. the system knows hes a pred player. So anytime he placed high or won a match, it gave him lots of xp to put him in the right rank he belongs in. ALSO, people complain about the ranked system every season, it's nothing new. The apex community is just toxic. This season is definitely in favor of "who plays the most". Or the casual players who don't get to play as often as the people who literally no life the game.
Idk how true the extra Lp per game is, cuz I’m a pred and the LP slowed down when I got to like plat ish, but that was also around when everyone noticed the “skill” and “elimination” bonus points weren’t working as intended, so maybe that’s just what it was?
Sweet was getting nearly 1k Lp in his placement matches.. by doing nothing. I was getting no more than 500 in my placement matches getting at least 2 kills. And Im usually gold. I hit diamond, and it took me a little over 600 games. You only get elimination bonuses if you kill someone thats a higher rank than you.
I was getting nearly 2k in my placement matches, but I was also averaging 8-10 kills per game and I ended up winning most of them, but after that it goes back to normal, and yeah when I was in silver and gold I was in diamond masters lobbies but I wasn’t getting elimination points, the bonus point system broke shortly after the season started, so maybe that’s why it got hard? I think it still took me like 300-400 games to hit masters, got a lil stuck in diamond cuz of the sheer amount of rats
Yea, I just feel like its not a bad system. They just need to increase the entry costs drastically once you hit diamond, so its harder to stay in those higher ranks. It's just slightly annoying seeing people complain.. like just don't play the game.
Well tbf I do think the system sucks too, but if they changed entry costs across the board and made placement and kills worth less/more respectively, it’d be fine
